Every body knew this fact, but nobody knew how to extract its essential proper ties. Every mother gives Wild Cherry tea to her children for worms, for colds, and for almost every disease; and adults throughout our country are in the habit of making a compound or syrup of Wild Cherry bark, and other ingredients, to lie used in spring as an antidote to complaints incident to that changeful season. It is found by experiment that the Wild Cherry possesses even far more impor tant qualities than was ascribed to it. For the first stages of Consumption, Asthma, no matter how long standing. Coughs, Liver Complaint, etc., ills proved to be the best medicine known toman- Dr. Wistar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry is a chemical extiact, combined with a similar extract from Tar, i which enhances its value. Its success in curing i Pulmonary disease, in almost every stage, after our best physicians could do no more, has astonished the faculty, and led them to confess that Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry possesses a principle here tofore unknown among medical men.
