The receipt of accounts from Liverpool to the 15lh December, by the British sl.ip'l hellos, at this port, bringing intelligence of a large advance in the Liverpool cotton market, had so completely un settled our market for this staple at the time of making up our last report, that vve found it impos sible to give, any accurate quotations, though vve remarked that among the lew transaction* of Tuesday there w ere sales of middling to good mid dling Mississippi at Ilsa 11Je; showing an ad vance of i ale bn our previous figures. The mail cams through, but brought no news. Yesterday the mail failed to ar rive until late in the forenoon, and brought nothing beyond Montgomery, Ala.
