Holders firm at yes terday’s prices, isales of 5700 bbls. Genesee brands at §0,874 —mostly held at §7 for prime shipping brands. Southern Hour worth $6.50 a $6,75 —very small sales. Dealers still awaiting further news from Europe. Wheat is still in good request, with sales of . prime Genessee at 160 cts. per bushel. The price ; of Corn has slightly declined. Sales of 30,000 j bushels at prices from 95 to 98 cts. Whiskey in bbls. is selling at 30cts. per gallon. The Cotton market continues firm at yesterday's I prices, with moderate sales. Exchange on London 6 percent premium. We have a very plea.-an I day; bright sun shine j and a reasonably comfortable atmosphere. The Post Office did not open for the delivery of foreign letters ut t 1 a few minutes before one, and the correspondence w as not generally received un til some time afterward.
