COMMERCIAL. LATEST dates FROM Liverpool,MAßCH 3. latest dates from ha v r E ::::jan. 31 Augusta Market, March 10. COTTON. —Since our last review we have had a better demand for Cotton in this market, and the small quantify offering has met with ready purchasers at prices all of |c. advance on these paid last week. This stale of things has been brought about by the light receipts at this place, and favorable advices received from the Northern markets. But even at this advance, the quantity of Cotton offering is quite limited, holders show ing no disposition to press their stocks at the pre sent time, but seem disposed to await the accounts per steamer of the 4th inst. The receipts at this point have been very light, reaching only about 1,200 bales this week, against 1,700 during the same week last year. The receipts at all the ports up to the latest dates received.are 1,330,200 bales, against 1,315,525 last year, showing an excess in the receipts this year of only 20,605 bales, which is 11,880 bales less than at the time of making up our last weekly review. The sales during the past week sura up 1595 bales which were disposed of as follows; 15 at 9,55 at 93, 11 at 9|, 222 at 91,11 at 91 f 79 a191,17 at 9 13-10,57 al9J,4Boat 10,45 at 10 1-16, 90 al 191, 317 at 101, 111 al 103, and 76 at 104 cts. The hulk of the offering stock may be classed mid dling to middling fair—qualities above this being withheld from the market. VV e again omit quota tions, but would remark that yesterday middling fair Colton, in square bales, would readily bring 10$, fair ]oi and |1 cents was offered and refused for a small lul of good fair, and that even at these prices but a smujl quantity of Cotton could be pur chased i|i this market. APALACHICOLA, March 2.—ln the first nnm 4>erof our Letter Siieet Price Current tlus se ison, we remarked that,9the receipts at ibis port are gen erally estimated at 120 to 139,090 bales, and oilier Florida Ports, about 25,000 hales/’ AN e are now satisfied from fams which have recently come to our knowledge, that that estimate was too high, and consider it now a settled question that our re ceipts will not exceed those of last year, say 110 to 112.000 bales. Other Florida Ports will receive less than last year, and w e think 135 to 140,000 bales a full estimate for Florida. For the week ending Feb. 27, the receipts at Columbus were only 380 hales, against 1,256 bales corresponding week last year. Cotton. —The receipts d iring the past week a mount to 2,846 bales, and the txports to 4,226, leaving the stock on hand, including all on ship board not cleared 41 ,C 16 bales, against 25,253 bales, tame time last year. On 1 uesday the sales were limited to three or four small tots, amounting in the aggregate to on'y 293 bales. \\ eduesday the demand was not ma terially increased, the transactions of the day being confined to 391 hales. Thursday, Friday and Sat urday the market remained in a very quiet state, about 490 bales each day changing hands. The 1 Cambria’s accounts reached us on Sunday, but the : circulars and letters not coming to hand, there j was no disposition to operate yesterday, only one j h't of 68 bales having been disposed of al about i old prices. The sales of the week amount to 1,974 bales. We make no change in our quotations, I they being as near the actual sales as ills possible i to quote. LIVERPOOL CLASSIFICATION. Inferior, none.
