Fowle, Dear Sir—This may certify that I am about seventy-five years of age, was born and have al- j Ways resided in this town. In October, 1-15, I : look cold, and for six months 1 was afflicted with the influenza, and the worse cough I have ever er perienced during my whole life. The sales reached about 800 bales at extremes from ii cents a Hi cts. without any perceptible change in prices. Rice. —The market continues doll and depressed, and prices to tend downwards. There w ere sellers, but no buyers of Southern, at $6,39 a $6,624. — Corn .Mea I, $5. Prime Genesee Wheat, 170 a 172 rents. Sales of 50,000 bushels white and yellow Corn at 85 a 8C cents for the former, and 90 for the latter; Oats, 30 rents; Rye, 93cents; Whisky, 27 cents. APALACHICOLA, March 13— Cotton. —An arrival from Columbus on Wednesday brought ns late advices from New York anil Charleston, which were of a more favorable character for cot ton, and on the strength of these advices and the continued falling off in receipts of cotton, about one hundred bales changed hands at an advance of fully a ic on our quotations of Tuesday. Since Wednesday there has been scarcely anything done, purchasers being unwilling to pay the ad vanced rates demanded by holders. We saw one lot which sold to-day at 9Jc.. grade above good middling. Stork on band and on shipboard not cleared, 35397 bales. Freights. —Since our Tuesday’s report about 1700 bales have been engaged fur Liverpool at id., | w hich is a decline of id.
