Oil it J.VI i iT.s GALVANIC RINGS AND MAGNETIC FET ID. ffIUIS remarkable invention, which has received the j 9 almost universal approbation of the medical pro -ion of Great Britain, comprises an entirely new up- ; plication of Galvanism, as a remedial aga tit. by inc uts of w hit It the ordinary Galvanic I* a, t erics, Klee tree and Mas nelic Machines. <fcc.,are entirely dispensed with, and the mysterious poweis of Galvanism applied without tiny 1 of the objections which are inseperable from the gene- 1 Tal mode now in use. The strong do.-es, and at irregu lar intervals, in which Galvanism is applied by the Mu- | duties, has been proii«#iuce(l, after a fair and impartial trial, to be decidedly injuriocs, and it was to remedy this radical defect, that this new application was pro jected, which after unceasing toil and perseverance, has been brought to its present state of pcrlection. The Galvanic Kings answer all the purposes of the m ,-t expensive Machines, and in many other respects are j more sake and certain in accomplishing the desired ■effect. The Galvanic Rings, used in connection ’sitb the i Magnetic Fluid, a e confidently recommended in all j D SORDERS WHICH ARISE FROM AN ENFEEBLED OR US- | IIEATMY STATE OF THE NERVOUS OR VITAL SYSTEM. a 11(1 1 thvsc complaints are amouif the most painful and uni versal to which we are subject. They arise, w ithautex ception, from one simple cause—a derangement of the Nervous system—and it was in these cases that other 11 remedies” having so often failed, a new agent was greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, has been found in the proper and judicious application of Galvanism. The Galvanic Rings have been used with entirestic ocss in all cases of Rheumatism, acute or chronic, ap plying rothe head, face or limbs ; Gout, Tic-Dolokkux Tooth ache , Bronchitis, Vertigo, Nervous ok tiiuc Headache, Indigestion, Paralyses, Palsy, Epilepsy, Fits, Cramp, Palpitation of the Heart, Afpopi.exv, Stiffness of Joints, Spinal Complaints. Kumbauo, Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness of the Head, Pains in the Chest and Side. General Debili ty, Deficiency of Nervous and Physical Energy, and all Nervous Disorders. In cases of confirmed Dyspepsia, which is simply a nervous derangement of the digestive organs, they have been found equally suc cessful. Their extraordinary effects upon the system must be witnessed lobe believed, and as a certain pre tentive for the preceding complaints they are equal ly recommended. The Kings are of different prices, being made of all sizes, and of various ornamental pat terns, and can he worn by the mostdelicate female w itlioul the slightest inconvenience. In fact the sensation is rulher agreeable than othorw ise. The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Baucis, Barters, .Necklaces, Ac. In some ruses of a very severe character ami of long • landing, the power as applied by the Galvanic Rings la not sufficient to arre.-tllie progress of disease and ulti mately to restore health. The unproved modification in the Galvan c Belts, Bracelets, &c., entirely reme dies tins objection ; any degree of pov\ er that is required can readily he obtained, and no complaint which the mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect vv ill fail to be permanently relieved. These articles are adapted to the waist, arms, wrists, limbs, ancles or anv part of ibe l*odv with perfect convenience. The Galvanic .Necklaces ■re used with greater benefit in cases of Bronchitis nr •ffections of the throat generally ; also in eases of Ner vous Deafness; and with almost uniform success as a preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Fits., and similar complaints. Christie’s Magnetic Fluid. Is issued in connection w ith thu Galvanic Rings. and all their modifications. This composition has hern pro nounced by the French Chemist'to be one of the most extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It is be lieved to possess a remarkable power of rendmiiiig the Nerves seiisitivk toGalvaiiic actioii, by these means causing a circulation of the influence at the seat of dis ease, and thus giving rapid and permanent relief. .No other composition in chemistry is known to produce the •mine effect or to impart a similar property to the nervous •ystein hy meansof an outward local application. The Magnetic Fluid contains nothing capaide of the slight est injury, its application is agre. able, and it is harmless in its action as it is benefit ial in it? result. Full explana tions and directions accompany it. Tin* combined in ventions are in every* way perfectly harmless; they are at prices within reach of all, and the discov ercr only re quests a fair trial. a« a test of their surprising efficacy and permanent benefit. Christie ? s Galvanic Strengthenin'" Plas teis. These articles form another valuable application of the mysterious influence of Galvanism. They are an Important adjunct to the genuine Galvaiuc Riiigs and their modifications, acting upon the same principle, but Waving this advantage of more local application. They •re confidently recommended asm valuable addition in the speedy cure of Rheumatism, acute or chronic; in •II nervous complaints, and as a positive remedy in cases of Fain ami \V eak..e>s i the Chest or Back. Fain in the Side, in Asthma ic Affections, and in Weakness or Op pression of the Pulmonary Organs. In Spinal Com plaints; their effects are of the most decided character, •nd they have often been used w ith complete success. Serenas Diseases, Dropsical Smeltings , Constitutional Disorders ami diseases originatin'.: from a depraved or Impure state <>f the Blood or other fluids of the body. The proprietor of this Alterative would most re spectfully assure the public that he. has not tillered this preparation to their notice without due reflec tion, and close and rigid study, nor until after twelve years' experience had manifested its great ; superi rity over every other article of the kind,— | and he now recommends il with confidence, fully believing that the above combination of medicine will c fleet'tally eradicate from the system a class j of disease some of which have heretofore been con j sidered incurable. I He has prescribed it in almost every variety of i disease and with unparalleled success, especially i in cutaneous a flections, cancerous, scrofulous and I scorbutic diseases, and diseases originating from I obstruction or eulargcmcntof the glands or iiupun i ty of the blood. Cancer and Cancerous Tumors. Ifc has used this preparation in upwards oftwen i ty well defined cases of earn er and cancerous tu i mors, and in every case but one with perfect ami entire success. Ilronclioceic or Goitre, (Swelled Neck.) ; He has prescribed it iu over a hundred case* of J goitre, and it has never fail 'd in a single instance to completely remove tin* disease. Nola solitary j case of fudure. All were cured. ; The success he has met with in curing bronrho cele and cancerous aflectiuns has convinced him that these dangerous and horrible diseases may be removed wiili as much certainly as Fever ami Ague. He dues not wish to be understood as say ing that they can be cured as soon as Fever and Ague, but with as much certainly; and further, that lie has good reason for believing that this* prepara i tiun will not only < ure these diseases when formed, , but that it destroys the virus or poisonous principle 1 lurking' in tlie system, from which that peculiar i class of diseases, as well as that of scrofula, emanate. Scrofula—King's Kvil. This preparation has been used in numerous cases of Scrofula, King's F.vil, and scrofulous swelling*, i and always with themost deci led success. A number of cases of gout have been cured by I tin- preparation. In one of these cases, the man I had been afflicted with it so severely for thirteen years as to entirely disable him from business, and for five months immediately previous to bC taking the Alterative he had been confined to his room; tint before he bad finished the third bottle, be wan enabled to walkabout the si reels ami soon alter re turned to his business,*fmm which lie had to long ; been excluded by his afflictions. Dropsical Swellings, Tiiis medicine increases the powers of digestion, excites the absorbents into healthy exercise, by which watery or calcareous depositions, and all unnatural enlargements are reduced. It imparts tone and vitality to the whole system, removing sick and morbid headaches, giddiness, wardering pains and nervous affections. Ist fact, in every case where the medicine lias been taken fur some vitae, no matter for wli.t pur pose, tbe general lieu I£ li of the patient, has always been improved by it. In conclusion, the proprietor would say that some? of the most astonishing cases of skin diseases, can cer, brom boccle, and scrofula, have been cured t»y this medicine, that have ever been recorded; hut want of room in thissheet precludes their publica tion at this time. CANCER. An interesting rase, cured by Jayne's Alterative. In the spring of 1831. a cancerous tumor appear ed in the right breast of Mrs. Phccbe, wife of Peter Stretch, of Salem, .N. J. It was examined by many Physicians, and was considered by all as cancerous, and besides bore all the characteristic marks of one. Alt probable means of removing it were used without the slightest benefit. It continued to in crease both in size and painfulness, until all hope o( saving her life, but by a painful operation, was abandoned, w hub. after a consultation of eminent Physicians, was performed. dan. Ist, 1832, by Dr. John Rhea Barton, assisted by Dr. Redman, the proprietor, and two other medical gentlemen. The whole and entire right breast was rcmo”ed, and af ter examination of tbe tumor, was pronounced by all present a cancer of the most malignant charac ter. In about three months, afterendnring incredi ble sufferings, she was enabled, though broken in spirit, to get about again, .''be remained feeble, and her genejpd health was exceedingly bad,as in deed it had been for several years before. In tbe spring of 1837, upwards of five years alter Iter hi east had been removed, a painful tumor made its ap pearance on the right side, immediately over the part formerly occupied by the nipple of the right breast, previous to ins removal. This tumor steadi ly increased for several months, ami became so painful as to deprived her of rest. The glands tin ilef the riglitanii were enlarged; and scirrhus, ami a hard, irregular, and at iirn>*s painful tumour, ap peared in the left breast. No operation could now arrest the disease. Indeed her whole body appear ed to be a mass of disease. Her case was consid ered hopeless. Bhe was of a very scrofulous habit, both her parents having died of Pulmonary con sumption. The experiment was now made with this Alterative. It was at first given in small doses, three times a day. and the. doses very gradu ally. hut steadily increased daily, as long as she look it, which was about r-ix months, and the skin over at.d around the tumour was wet night ami morning with a strong solution of lodine and Hy driodate Potash. The tumour continued increas ing in si/.e for aboupsix weeks, and was at times very painful, w hen tlie pain suddenly ceased alto gether. and the tumoursvvelled out at tire base, and became soft, and then began to diminish, and con tinued gradually decreasing until every vestige of disease was removed. Tbe tumour in her left breast, and those in her right axilla were also dis persed. N > cancerous or scrofulous tumours ever appeared afterwards; and hergeneral health, w hicli had been so had for fourteen years as to make life a burthen, was eflectually ami permanently restored. The proprietor is in possession of the diseased breast, and those whochoftse may examine it. He would also say that lie could mention over a dozen cases equally interesting, wherein his Alterative has subdued cancer ami cancerous tumours, but lie has not room hereto record them. Mrs. Sarah Young, of Quinton's Bridge, N. J., had a goitrous tumour on the left side of her w ind pipe, a- large as the half of an orange, w hich was cured by using this Alterative lor about four months. Miss R S , South Fourth-street, Phila delphia, was also cured of an enlargement of the throat, which filled tbe entire space between the. chin and breast-bone, and extended around on each side of her neck to behind her ears, and from her ears to her shoulders, ami produced awful de formity. It commenced growing when she was but five years old, and continued gradually to in crease until she was nineteen, at which tune she commenced using this Alterative, which she took for seven months, which entirely reduced the en largement; and she has now as smooth and pretty a neck as can be found. The propriet or is not at liberty to give her name in print, but will refer per sons to her. For sale by \\ JI- K. KITCHEN', sop 38 ly 2 Sole Agent for Georgia.
