The success he has tv t with in curing bronrho cele and cancerous affections lias convinced him that these dangerous and horrible diseases ma y be i removed with as much certainty as Fever and Ante. Dropsical Swellings* This medicine increases the powers of digestion, excites the a salients into healthy exercise, by which watery or calcareous depositions, and all unnatural enlargements are reduce 1. it impart* tone and vitality to the whole sy.-u-mt, r-w-umg sick and morbid headaches, giddiness, wandering pains and nervous atiectiuns. in fact, in every case where the medicine has been taken for some time, no matter for v\ h t pur- Eose, the general health of the patient has always een improved by it. In conclusion, the proprietor would sa.v that ■ me of the most astonishing cases of skin diseases, cau 'cer, bronchocele, and scrofula, have been cured by this medicine, that have ever been recorded; but want of room in this sheet precludes their publica tion at this time. CANCER. An interesting case, cured by Jayne's Alterative. In the spring of 1 S3l, a cancerous tumor appe:.-r ed in the right breast of Airs. Pb übv, wife of I’m r Stretch, of Sale it., N.J. It was examined by many Physicians, and was considered by all as cancerous, and besides bore ail the characteristic marks of one- Ail probable means of removing it were need without the slightest benefit. It continued to in crease both in size and painfulness, mud all hope of saving her life, but by a painful operation, was abandoned, which, after a consultation oi einiu nit Physicians, was performed, Jan. Ist, 1832, by Dr. John Rhea Barton, assist d bv Dr. Redman, the proprietor, and twooth-.Tmedifiil gentlemen. The whole and entire right breast was rento-vd, and af ter examination of the tumor, was pronounced by aJJ present a cancer of the most malign itu charac ter. In about three months, after enduring incredi ble sufferings, she was enabled, though broken in spirit, to get about again. >he remained feeble, and her general health was exceedingly bad, a> m «eed it had been for several y ars before. In tiro spring of 183*., npw ards of live years alter her h. east had been removed, a painful tumor made its ap pearance on the right side, immediat iy over the part formerly occupied by the nienle of the right breast, previous to ns - removal. T his tumor steadi- Jy increased for several months, and hecatne so vpft>iu/ul as to deprived of rest. The glands un •der the right arm we.re * larged; and >cirrhus, and a hard, irregular, and at tin, > painiul tumour, ap peared in the left brea-t. No operation could now arrest the disease, indeed her whole body appear ed to be a mass of disease. Her case was consid ered hopeless. Bhe was of a verv scrofulous iiabir, ‘both her parents having di -d of IT:lu.m-,arv con sumption. The experiment was now made with this Alterative. It was at first given in small doses, three times a day. and the do.-es very gradu ally, but steaddy increased daily, as long ;u she took it, which was about six months, and tbc skin over and around, tpe tumour was wet night and mooting with a strong solution of lodine and ily 3 fhasdate Potash. The tumour continued increas ing in size for about s-ix weeks, and was at times very paiftfn!, when the pyin suddenly ceased alt<-- gellter,a«d the tumour swelled out at urn base, and became soft, and ih ui began to dimiiiislt, and ecu i&tued gradually decreasing until every vestige of <llsease was removed. The tumour in her left breast, and those, in her right axilla were also dis persed. No cancerous or scrofulous tumours ever appeared afterwards; and her general health, which liad been so bad fdr fourteen years as to make life a burthen, was effectually and permanently restored. The proprietor is in possession of the diseased breast, and those who choose may examine it. He would also say that he could m utiou over a dozen -cases equally interesting? wherein his Alterative has subdued canceraml cancerous tumours, but he has not room here to record them. Mrs. Sarah Young, of Quinton's Bridge. N. J., had a goitrous tumour on the left side of her wind pipe, a> large.as the half of an orange, which was cured by using this Alterlftive lor about four months. Miss R S , South Fourth-street, Phila delphia, was also cured of an enlargement of the throat, which filled the entire spaee between the chin and breast-bone, and extended around un each side of her neck tc behind liei tars, and front her ears to her shoulders, and produced awful de fortuity. It commenced growing when she was but five years old. and continued gradually to in crease uiuri site was nineteen, at which time she commenced using this Alterative, w hich she took for seven months, which entirely reduced the en largement; and she has now as smooth and prmtv a neck as can he found. The proprietor is nut at .iherty togive her name in print, but will refer per sons to her. For sale by WM. K. KITCHEN, sep '2B iy 2 Sole Agent for Georgia. COLLETON RITTERS.
