B. GLASCOCK, P. ST. . COTTON Gl a \sT” ‘ DIPKOVFIt ON WHAT WAS BEFORE CEUFKC'T. SHAVE heretofore labored that my cotton gins 1 should be thought superior to any manufac j tured in Georgia. By offering to the public such an article I have been liberally patronized, lor j which I feel grtcful. I have warranted my fine gins. I have never had one returned as not coi«- i ing up to what 1 promised. It is known 1 have, i and do promise that mv gins make superior cot -1 ton. 1 have no tra velling agents. 1 rely on mv i gins telling a better talc for me, and one that will ' | be sooner believed than a travelling agent; in j short. 1 hope to make my gins sell themselves. 1 j feel confident in staling that 1 have made r alua- j ) hie improvements in line gins, and that 1 shall 1 i hereafter furnish an improved gin to anything ! heretofore sold, 1 would also inform” citizens of Warren, Washington, Wilkes, Columbia and Burke counties, that 1 have purchased Simpson’s i improvement for band machinery, and those who i purchase my gins in the counties named will have the use of the patent free; the malejial, when de | sired, will he put on the head block,'free ot charge, j it will require a small outlay of materia! on the | band wheel, which will be furnished at the lowest possible rate, and which, when Used, reduces the draft loan astonishing extent; the character of the improvement is simply by propelling the ma j chinery by a slack band, instead of a tight one.— i My finest Friction Roller Gins are sold at £3 per saw. My plain gins arc also greatly improved, and will be sold according to kind, from S'i to per saw. My finest gins have heretofore sold higher than other gins, an I yet, heretofore, I have not been able to supply the demand, whilst I have been unable to sell but few plain gins. Orders or letters, addressed to me at Sparta, will be promptly attended to, and gins delivered at purchasers’ residences, free of char m. GARRETT T. OGLESBY & BROTHER. Spuria, April 3. fri'lificatey. J. Wn.so.v, Super’t and Practical Machinist. Savannah, March J(T/i, 1817. The under signed, dining the past season, have frequently noticed the superiority of cotton, received from those planters who use gins manufactured by G. T. Oglesby, E-q., of Sparta, over that tioin other gins. It his in variably commanded the highest price, and very frequently one-fourth of a cent per pound more than other cottons of the same class. RABUN & FULTON. J. L. SWINNEY. Augusta, February 27 1 k, 1817.—The under signed Factors and Commission Merchants, take pleasure in recommending to the planters gene rally, G. CHUISTIE’S GALVAN 1C RINGS AM) .MAGNETIC FLUID. remarkable invention, which has received the S almost uni versa! approbation of the medical pro ; feasion of Great Britain, comprises an entirely new ap- ] plication of Galvanism, as a remedial agent, by means of j ! which the ordinary Galvanic Ua tones, Llectric and Mng- ; nctio Machines. &.C.,are entirely dispensed with, and the mysterious powers of Galvanism applied without any of the objections which are inseperable from llie cene rul mode now in use. The strong doses, and at irregu- j lar intervals, in which Galvanism is applied by the Ma- \ chines, has been pronounced, afer a fair and impartial | trial, to be decidedly injurious, and it was to remedy ibis radical defect, that this new application was pro jected, which after unceasing toil and perseverance, has been brought to its present state of perfection. The Galvanic Rings answer all the purposes of the most expensive Machines, and in many other respects are more safe and certain in accomplishing the desired ell’ect. The Galvanic Rings, used in connection with the Magnetic Fluid, a e confidently recommended in all D SORDF.RS WHICH ARISE FROM AN ENF EEBLED OR UN HEATHY STATE OF THE NERVOUS OR VITAL SYSTEM, and | these complaints are among the most painful and uni versal to which we are subject. They arise, without ex -1 ception, from one simple cause—a derangement of the | Nervous system —and it was in these cases that other “ remedies” having so often failed, a new agent was greatly needed, winch it is confidently believed, has been found in the proper and judicious application of 1 Galvanism. The Galvanic Rings have been used with entiresuc cess in all eases of Rheum atism, acute or chronic, ap plying to th" head.face oi limbs Gout, Tic-Dolorelx Toothache. Bronchitis, Vertigo, Nervous or Sick Headache, Indigestion. Paralyses. Palsy, Epilepsy, Fits, Cramp, Palpitation of the Heart, Appopi.exy, Stiffness f Joints. Spinal Complaints, Kumbago, Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness of the Head, Pains in hie Guest and Side. General Debili ty, Deficiency of Nervous and Physical Lnergy, and all Nervous Disorders. In cases of confirmed Dystepsia. which is simply a nervous derangement of the digestive organs, they have been found equally suc cessful. Their extraordinary effects upon the system must be witnessed ro be believed, and as a certain pre- i veNTivf: for the preceding complaints they are equal ly recommended. The Kings are of different prices, ! being made of ail siz"s, and of various ornamental pat terns, and can be worn by the inostdelicate female without 1 the slightest inconvenience. In fact the sensation is rather agreeable than otharwise. The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Bands, Garters, Necklaces, &c. ; fii some cases of a very severe character and of Ion? I standing the power as applied hv the Galvanic Kings is not sufficient to arre-tth- progress of disease and ulti mately to restore health. The improved modification in j the Galvan c Bf.lts, Bracelets, &c., entirely reme dies this object ion ; any degree of power that is required can readily be obtained, and no complaint which the mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect will fail to be permanently relieved. These artielcs are adapted to the wai-t, arms, wrists, limbs, uncles or any part of ibe body with perfect convenience. The Galvanic Necklaces are used with greater benefit in eases of Bronchitis or affections of the throat •reio-rally ; also in eases of Ner -1 vous Deafness; and with almost uniform sucee-s as a I preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Fits, and similar ■ complaints. Christie's 3latmetic Fluid. I Is issued in connection with the Galvanic Kings and j all their modifications. This composition has been pro nounced by the French Chemists to be one ofthe most extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It is be j lie.ved to possess a remarkable power of kenderiiig the j | Nerves seusitive to Galvaiiic action, by these means i i causing a circulation of the influence at the seat of Jis- '■ ease, and thus giving rapid and permanent relief. No i othereoinposition in chemistry is known to produce the ! same effect or to impart a similar property to the nervous | 1 system by means of an outward local application. The i I Magnetic Fluid contains nothingcap tide of the slight j est injury, its application is agreeable, and it is harmless i in its action as it is benefit ial in its resub. Full explana j litins and directions accompany it. The combined in- 1 vcntlonsare in every way perfectly harmless; they are at prices within reach of nil, and the discoverer onlv re quests a fair trial, as a test of their surprising efficacy ! ami permanent benefit. I Christie’s Galvanic Strengthening Plas ters. These article? form another valuable application an I the mysterious influence of Galvanism. They arc too important adjunct to the genuine Galvaiiic Kings and their modifications, acting upon the same principle, but hiv in" th is ad vantage of more local applica ion.
