VEGETABLE UNIVERSAL PILLS.
I The startling drawback on nearly all Medicinal Afients
j liuseverbeen that in their process of purgation andpuri
! fication, they have also debilitated the system. Hence
Purgative Medicines have always been regarded us at
! bestbut a Ncceisanj Evil; Patients resorting to them for
1 tin: reliefofoNE disease at the expense of another. To
j obviate this. Physicians have long sought fur au Agent

! But theiretforts were nearly fruitless, and they bad al
| most despaired ofsuccess when the labors of science, and
research were rewarded by a discovery which fully rc
i alized the fondest desires of the Medical Faculty, and
i which is Justly regarded as one of the most important
j Triumphs that Pharmacy has ever achieved. This iiu
, portanl desideratum is named
DR.LE ROY’S VEGETABLE UNIVERSAL PILLS,
! Which Purify the Blood, and remove all corrupt, and
j vitiated humors, and unhenlihy accumulations from the
i body in a manner never before*rivalled, and Avhich yet
j produce no tceaknest or lassitude whatever, but on tho

DR. CHRISTIE’S
GALVAN IC KINGS
AND
MAGNETIC FLUID.
j fBAHIJ. remarkable invention, which has received the
Bl almost universal approbation of the medical pro- j
fes.-ion of Great Britain, comprises an entirely new ap-
I plication of Galvanism, as a remedial -agent, by means ol
which the ordinary Galvanic Batteries, Electric and .Mag
netic Machines,&c., are entirely dispensed with, and the
mysterious powers of Galvanism applied without any
of the objections w bicb -ire iuseperable from the gene
ral mode now in use. The strong doses, and at irregu
lar intervals, in which Galvanism is applied by the Ma
j chines, ha* been pronounced, after a fair and impartial
j trial, tube decidedly injukious, and it was to remedy
this radical defect, that this new application was pro
jected, which after unceasing toil and perseverance, has j
been brought to its prc.-cnt state of perfection. The
Galvanic Kings answer all the purposes of the most
expensive Machines, and in many other respects are
| more sate and certain in accomplishing the desired
: effect.
The Galvanic Rings, used in connection with the
| Magn etic Fluid, a- e confidently recommended in all
O.SORDEKS WHICH ARISE FROM AN ENFEEBLED OR UN-
I HEATHY STATE OF THE NERVOUS OR VITAL SYSTEM,and
j these complaints are among the most painful and uni- i
' versal to which we are subject. They arise, withoutex- j
j ception, from one simple cause—a derangement of the
j Nervous system—and it was in these ca-es that other
j “ remedies” having so often failed, a new agent was
i greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, has
I been found in the proper and judicious application of
f Galvanism.
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entiresuc.
cess in a) I cases of Rheumatism, acute »r chronic, ap
j plying to the head, face or limbs ; Gout, Tic-Dolokeux
I Toothache, Bronchitis, Vertigo, Nervous ok Sick
i Headache, Indigestion . Paralyses Palsy, F.piletsy,
1 Fits, Cramp, Palpitation <e the Heart, Atfoplexy,
; Stiffness >f Joints, Spinal Complaints, Kumbago,
I Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness of the
Head, Fains in the Chest and Side. General Debili- I
| Ty. Deficiency of Nervous and Physical Energy, !
‘ and all Nervous Disorders. In cases of confirmed
! Dyspepsia, which is simply a nervous derangement of
the digestive organs, they have been found equally sue- I
| cessful. Their extraordinary effects upon the system [
j must be witnessed to be believed, and as a certain pke- j
ventive for the preceding complaint- they areequal- |
i ly recommended. The Rings are of different prices,
; being made of all sizes, and of various ornamental pat- 1
tcrns, and can be worn b> the mostdelicate female without I
the slightest inconvenience. In fart the sensation is |
j rather agreeable than otherwise.
The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Bands,
Charters, Necklaces, Ac.
In somecases of a very severe character and of long
| standing, the power as applied by the Galvanic Rings
is not sufficient to arrestthe progress of disease and ulti
mately to restore health. The improved modification in
the Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, See., entirely reme
dies this objection ; any degree of power that is required
can readily be obtained, and no complaint which the
mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect will fail to lie I
permanently relieved. These articles are adapted to the
waist, arms, wrists, limbs, ancles or any part of ihe body
with perfectconvenience. The Galvanic Necklaces
are used with greater benefit in cases of Bronchi! is or
i affections of the throat generally ; also in cases of Ner
! vous Deafness; and with almost uniform success as a
preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Fits, and similar
j complaints.
( hristie’s Jlagnetic Fluid.
Is issued in connection with the Galvanic Rings, and
ali their modifications. This composition lias-been pro
nounced by the French Chemists to be one ofthe most
extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It is 4 b-'-
lieved to possess a remarkable power of Hendekiiig the
Nerves seusitive toGalvahlc actioii, by these means
causing a circulation of the influence at the seat of dis
ease, and thus giving rapid and permanent relief. N«
othercomposiiion in chemistry is known to produce the
same effector to imparta similar property loihe nervous
system by ineausof an outward local application. The
Magiietic Fluid containsnothiiigcapuble of the slight- j
e.st injury, its application is agreeable, and it is harmless j
in its action as it is beneficial in its result. Kail explana
tions and directions accompany it. The combined in- |
ventionsare, in every way perfectly harmless; they are j
at prices within reach of all, and the discoverer only re- !
! quests a fair trial, as a test of their surprising efficacy j
I and permanent benefit.
: Christie’s Galvanic Slrcn^t heuing Plas
ters.
1 Thesearticles form another valuable application an
1 the mysterious influence of Galvanism. They are too j
i important adjunct to the genuine Galvahic Hines and ;
their mollifications, acting upon Ihe same principle, but j
having this advantage of more local application. They
are confidently recommended as a valuable addition in
the speedy cure of Rheumatism, acute or chronic ; in .
all nervous complaints, and as a positive remedy in cases
of Pain and Weakness i i the Chest or Back. Pain in the I
Side, in Asthmatic Affections, and in Weakness or Op
pression of the Pulmonary Organs. In Spinal Com-
I plaints; their effects are ofthe most decided character,
! and they have often been used with complete success.
I They are also of the greatest advantage in Pains and
Weakness of the Breast, and are highly recommended j
for many of those complaints to which females are
especially liable. As an«tfectual mc jnsfor Strengthen
ing the system when debilitated with d’sease or other
causes ; as a certain aid in Constitutional Weakness, as h
Preventive for Colds and in all affections of the Chest
generally the Galvanic Strengthening Plaster will be
found of greatand permunenladvantaee. In a few words,
it embraces all the virtues of the best tonic preparation
with the important addition of the Galvtsnic influence,
which is neither impaired or exhausted, wbilethc action
continues. These articles will be found entirely free
from those objections which arc a constantsourceofcora

I have found it a most valuable medicine, and
