The success he, has met with in curing broncho cele and cancerous affections has convinced hint that these dangerous and horrible diseases may be removed with as much certainty as Fever and i Ague. He does not wish to be understood as sa>- i jn~ that they can be cured as soon as Fever and Ague, but with as much < rlaintu; and further, that he has good reason for la-lowing that this prepara tion will not only * tire these discus swhen formed, but that it de>iio\s the virus or p dsumms principle ' lurking in the system, from vvimh iliat peculiar ' data of diseases, as well as tit it ofscrofula emanate. gSgft-Scrofula—King's i.viK This preparation bus been used in numerous cases of Scrofula, King’s Evil, and scrofulous swellings, and always with the moat deci ed .success. CAN€ER. An interesting case cured by Jayne's A'terutive, In the spring of 1831, a cancerous tumor appear ed in the right-breast of .Mrs. Phoebe, wife of Peter Stretch, of Salem, N. J. It was examined *.»y many Physicians, and was considered by nil itscariceTia euj besides bpratad fire characteristic marks of cue. All probable meaps of removing it were used without the slightest benefit, it continued to in crease both in size and pathfuine.-s, until ail feqie of saving her life, but. by a paiufui o; -rain>a. wa-. abandoned, which, after a consultation of. Physicians, was performed, Jan. Ist, ife.-, n, i,.. John Rhea Barton, assisted by Dr. Redman, the proprietor, and two other medical ger.tfeni m. Tite whole and entire right breast was re&0"“d, and af ter examination of the tuinor, was pro.ioatucd by nil present a cancer of the most malignant charac ter. In about three months, afierendiiring incrcdi ble sufferings, she was enabled, though broken in spirit, to get about again. She remained feeble, iiml her general health was exceedingly b; fc d, a.- n.- deed it had been for several years iiemre. In the spring of 1837, upwards of five years after herb; east had been removed, a painful tuttnor made it' ap pearance on the right side, inirtediuieiy over :he part formerly occupied by the nipple of the right breast, previous to its removal. This turn er adi lv increased for several mouths, sud 1 . ..me so painful as to deprived her of fest. The gtan b un der the rightarm were enlarged; and scirrints, and a hard, irregular, and at times painful turn (or. ap peared in the left breast. No operation could now uwcsl the disease. Indeed her whole body api car ed to be a mass of disease. Ililer case was consid ered hopeless, bhe was of a very scrofulous hahil, both her parents having died of PuUnoharv t ou ts umpt ion. Tlie experiment was now mane with _|his ALterative v It tv as at first given io small doses, three times a a atf'"atid the doses ver/gradu ally, hut steadily increased daily, as luna : ,s she look it, which was about six months, and the skin over and around the tumour was Wet night and moiiii#L with a-srroiig soilllT'error f-ufiie arid fly driodate Potash. The tumour continued increas ing in size for about six weeks, and w at times very painful, when the pain suddenly ceased alto gether, and the tumour swelled out at the base, and Became soft, and then began to diminish, and con tinned gradually decreasing until every vestige <>f disease was removed. The tumour in her left breast, and those m her right axilla were also dis persed. No cancerous or scrofulous tumours t-\ r r appeared afterwards; and hergeneral health, w Inch had been so had for fourteen years as to make life a burthen, was effectually and permanently restored. The proprietor is in possession of the diseased breast, and those who choose may examine it. He would also say that he could mention over a dozen cases equally interesting, wherein his Alterative has subdued cancer and cancerous tumours, but he ! has hot room hereto record them. *- Mrs, Surah Young, of Quinton's Bridge, N r . J., ud a goitrous tumour on the left s.de of her w iml }>tpe,as large as the half of an orange, which was «uredby using this Alterative f or about four months. Miss K S , South Fourth-street, Phila delphia, was also cured of an enlargement of toe throat, which filled the entire space between the chin and breast-bone, and extended atoui.d on catb side of her neck to behind her ears, and frt nt her ears to Iter shoulders, and produced awful de fortuity. It commenced growing when si.e was but five years old. and continued gradually to in crease until she was nineteen, at which luce she commenced using this Alterative, which she took for seven mouths, which entirely reduced the en largement; and she has now as smooth and pa tty a neck as can be found.*’ The proprietor is not ut , -iberty to give her name in print, but w ill refer per sons to her. i For sale by WM.
