M.—The steamer Washington has arrived at last, but her news was not received un til the markets for the day partly closed, though some slight transactions took place afterwards.— There was a sale of 000 barrels Genesee dour at sfi. being an advance of 31| Cents under the news. There were also some slight operations in corn. A sale of 3,000 bushels took place, consisting of white and yellow, at G 4 a 70—being a slight ad vance. Provisions were more active. A sale of GOO bar rels prime pork was made at sls, and small sales of prime at $12,50. Indian Meal was firm at $3 a 3,50. Whisky was also firm at 2(> a 27.4 cents in hhds. and bids. The Second part, the Physical features of the State and Climate, Diseases, Soil Productions, Riv ers. Railroads and Canals. The Third part will include the first Settlement, Population, Government, Constitution, Judiciary, Revenue, Resources. Taxes, Public Buildings, Moral and Religious Institutions, Penal Code, with a list of the Governors of the State. The Fourth part will give the statistics of the counties arranged under the following heads, to wit: History of settlement, origin of the name, situation, boundaries, soil, adaptation to particular products, towns, villages, rivers, creeks, mountains, roads, bridges, public places, prices of land, grain ami la bor, manufactures, schools, churches, customs, a musements, instances of remarkable longevity and short sketches of eminent men. The Fifth part will consist of notices of the Abo rigines of Georgia, taken from the manuscripts of a gentleman who for many years discharged the du ties of Indian Agent. The work will also contain various Statistical ta bles, relating to the commerce, population and Revenue of the Slate of Georgia, illustrating its means of progress and prosperity, compiled from the most recent and authentic resources.
