When Cataline attempted to overturn the liber ties of Rome,he commenced by corrupting the mo- ' ralsofthc youth, and although he did not succeed I in his nefarious attempt, his name was branded with i infamy. Various plans of treatment have been pro posed for .mental alienation with limited success, but for diseases of the physical frame, a remedy has been discovered, which in a large majority of cases, will relieve the patient of his sufferings, and if timely administered cure the disease. Sand's Sarsaparilla will perfectly cure diseases of the mu cous membranes, Scrofula or King’s Evil, Fever Sores, pustules and pimples on the face. Rheuma tism, obstinate cutaneous erruptions and other dis. eases caused by an impure state of the blood. Evec spice the settlement of America, Wild Cherry has been known to possess very important medicinal virtues. Every body knew this fact, but nobody knew how to extract its essential proper ties. Every mother gives Wild Cherry tea to her children for worms, for colds, and for almost every 1 disease; and adults throughout our country are in the habit of making a compound or syrup of wild cherry bark, and other ingredients, to be used in spring as an antidote to complaints incident to that ! changeful season. It is found by experiment, that the wild cherry possesses even far more important qualities than was ascribed to it. For the first stages of Consumption, Asthma, no matter how long stand ing. Coughs, Liver Complaints, etc., it is proved to j be the best rfcedicine known toman. Dr. W r istar’s Balsam of W ild Cherry is-a chemical extract, com bined with a similar extract from Tar, which en hances Its value. Its success in curing pulmonary disease, in almost every stage, after our best phy sicians could do no more, has astonished the facul- I 7 ) ty, and led them to confess that Wistar’s Balsam of j W ild Cherry possesses a principle heretofore un- j known among medical men.
