FLORIDA.
CITIZENS of this beautiful and healthy State,
allow me, a native Georgian , the pleasure to
call your attention to one of the greatest and most
useful Medicines ever discovered—one of a simple :
and harmless nature—one which has proved itself
to be an infallible remedy for Ihe FEVER AND
AGUE, effecting a certain and speedy cure. The
time mentioned is truly very short, and will he
doubted by many, but 1 have certificates f.-om the
first Physicians a.id of geu.lemen of the highest re
spectability of Savannah, where 1 reside. It is
known by all that a poison will soon circulate
through and effect the whole human system, then
why nut a simple and one that is harmless? This
Medicine is not a Notihem Humbug, but a South
trn Remedy altogether. It is made in the city of
Savouiwk —it is recommended by ci'izeus of Sa- j
vannah, Geo* gia, Soioh Carolina, Florida, <fec.; and
to be candid, all my Printing is Southern, executed
by Mr. E. J. Purse , of SoxmnvCi; so you will at
once see it is altogether a Southerner, and if it was
my intention to humbug any c immunity, I would
not choose gentlemen’s names that are welll known
and in »he same ploce where 1 reside. I submit
the testimony of re side ns of this city, among '
whom are the first Physicians, and I presume you
are acquainted with man* ol them. The Medi
cine offered to the world, is a saie, certain and
speedy cu.e f<>r Fever and Ague, which it will do
in the venf short space of Tureloe Hon s. As Flori
da is a newly settledcou dry,it is liable to a great j
deal of this troublesome < bease, and it will be to i
the advantage of every family to keep a supply on I
hand. Citizens of Florid.- : it is not my inlention
to weary your patience with a string of nonsense
or of advertisements, so»- I can assure you that I am
pretty well used up in this part of the work; but I
wish you to try this Medicine and satisfy your
selves, and you will for ihe first time believe that
a dise. se could be ct- r ed in Picelve Hours, and the
o dy way to p ove it >s to try it.
I really do not know why a Southern Medicine
should not be as good as one that is manufactured
at the North. My Medici *e has effected a perfect j
Cure where all others have failed. I admit there
tire many othe r remedies, but not one that can be
come so popular, and so certain of curing <his com
plaint, as Humparcijs ’ Remedy , < r Fectr and Ague.
Onlv think for a m .ment. 'Pwelve Hours to be a
healthy manl It is strange, very strange, that truth
should need so much boasting at last; but such is
this Worid. I WiH not tax you with any more of
this, but willingly I leave the Medicine to recom
mend itself to Florida. And now, to close, I tdedge
my honor the Medicine does not contain any Mercury
or any Mineral Preparation whatever: U is a Vege
table only.
1 am respectfully, yours, &c.

PLANTERS of this noble State, 1 ask you to
give the above Medicine one and a fair trial,
and you w>ll find it to excel all the humbugs of the
North. It is now used, and with success, ia you

Certificates can be had by addressing ebher my
self or Dr. P. M. Cohen, Charleston, or Mr. T. J.

MOUNT EAGLE TRIPOLI.
A REMARKABLE mineral, pronounced by
geologists to be a great rarity in nature, and
known to them by the name of Tripoli, has lately
been discovered in this country, although but in one
bed, of very narrow limits, all owned by the “Mount
Eagle Manufacturing Company,” incorporated for
the sole purpose of its manufacture.
The article is excellent for burnishing and clean
ing all finished metallic and glass surfaces, such as
gold, silver, brass, Britannia and steel ware, win
dow glass, See. Nothing has ever yet been discov
ered equal to the pure Tripoli, and the common
language of the consumer is, it is the best thing 1

GRISWOLD’S IMPROVED COTTON
gins.
THE subscriber will continue the manufacture
of GINS on his usnAl extensive scale; and
embraces this opportunity to thank his numerous
customers for their liberal patronage heretofore. l —
estimation in which his Gins are held may be
known from the fact of his having sold more than
two thousand within the last three years; probably
ten to one over any other factory in the State.—*
This evidence of the superiority of his Gins, is ac
counted for, by his being the first to introduce the
late improvements, and keeping the lead, by year
ly adding new ones. His first and second improve
ments, made the quality of cotton perfect, though
some were rather slow, his third made them suffi
ciently fast, it then only remained to make them
more durable and convenient, which has been done
effectually, by several new improvements the pre
sent year; besides, he has the exclusive right of the
State, and the privilege of other sections, to furnish
Reed's Patent Water Boxes, which are believed to
be ten times more durable than any other, by thdse
who have made a fair trial of them, and arfe infalli
bly sec are against fire by firiction. His fine Gins,
will gin Mastodon Cotton as well as any Saw Gin
can. His agents will visit planters generally, and
exhibit specimens of his late improvements, and
point out their advantages, in time, for all to en
gage, and be supplied before next ginning season,
or, engagements can be made by letter, directed to
him at Clinton, Jones county, Georgia. Gins, will
be delivered at the purchaser’s residence in an'"
part of the State, except the Cherokee counties
where they will be left at the Rail Road depot,
most convenient to the purchaser. All warranted
to perform well if used according to the printed
directions sent with each.
