James J Whitehead and Samuel Dowse, alleging that on the thirtieth day of November eighteen hun dred and forty, John Trowbridge executed to them his certain mortgage deed whereby to indemnify and save harmless said petitioners, conveying two certain notes, made by said Trowbridge to Isaac Bryan, dated on the 28 f h day of August. A. D. eighteen hundred and forty-five, each for the sum of eight hundred dollars, the one payable twelve months and the other two years after date,signed by said petitioners as securities, he conveyed to said petitioners certain tracts or parcels of land lying and being in said county of Richmond, the one being in the neighborhood known as Richmond Bath, containing twelve acres more or less, bound ed north by lands of James Whitehead, west by lands of Joshua Key, and south and southeast by the Bath tract.
