J IT PON the petition of John Whitehead, James Whitehead and Samuel Dowse, alleging that on the thirtieth day of November eighteen hun dred and forty. John Trowbridge executed to them his certain mortgage deed whereby to indemnify and save harmless said petitioners, conveying two certain notes, made by said Trowbridge to Isaac Bryan, dated on the 28th day of August, A. D. eighteen hundred and forty-five, each for the sum of eight hundred dollars, the one payable twelve months and the other two years after date, signed by said petitioners as securities, he conveyed to said petitioners certain tracts or parcels of land lying and being in said county of Richmond, the one being in the neighborhood known as Richmond Bath, containing twelve acres more or less, bound ed north by lands of James Whitehead, west by lands of Joshua Key, and south and south east by the Bath tract. And the said petitioners further alleging that the said John Trowbridge has failed and neglected to pay said notes and has become insolvent, and that they the said petitioners have paid them and that there is now due them on said notes the sum of eighteen hundred and forty dollars and fifteen cents, and praying that the equity of redemption in and to said mortgaged property may forever be foreclosed. The Fifth part will consist of notices of the Abo rigines of Georgia, taken from the manuscripts of a gentleman who for many years discharged the du ties of Indian Agent. The work will also contain various Statistical ta bles, relating to the commerce, population and Revenue of the State of Georgia, illustrating its means of progress and prosperity, compiled from the most recent and authentic resources.
