on the thirtieth day of November eighteen hun
: dred and forty. John Trowbridge executed to them
his certain mortgage deed whereby to indemnify
and save harmless said petitioners, conveying two
certain notes, made by said Trowbridge to I-aac
Bryan, dated outlie 2.8 h day of August, A. D.

of eight hundred dollars, the one payable twelve
months and the other two years after date, signed
by said petitioners as securities, he conveyed to
said petitioners certain tracts or parcels of land
lying and being in said county of Richmond, the
one beingin the neighborhood known as Richmond
Bath, containing twelve acres more or less, bound
ed north by lands of James Whi'ehead, west In
lands of Joshua Key, and south and south east by
the Bath tract.
Abo, two tracts conveyed by said John Trow
bridge by T-aac Bryan and described as f Hows, to
wit: “Ail those two tracts or parcels of land situ
ate, lying and being in the county of Richmond and
State of Georgia, one containing twelve hundred
acres, more or less, on Spirit Creek, bounded north
by lands of John Cash in. deceased, east by lands of
Absolom Rhodes, composed of two tracts, one f
one thousand acres, granted to J mes Beall, and
another of two hundred acres granted to James
McManns.
Also, all that other tract r r parcel of land situ
ate in same county and State, containing fourteen
hundred and nearly two a*'d three quarter acres,
more or less, together with Mills and improvements
thereon, and bounded east by lands, lately own
e : by the estate of Lowe, west by lands now
nr lately owne I by Forkerberv, south by lands
b light by one John Cashin, Senior, now deceased,
oor h by lands belonging to Absolom Rhodes. And
the said petitioner- further alleging that the .-aid
John Trowbridge has failed and neglected to pay
said notes and has become insolvent, and that they
the. said petitioners have paid them and that there
is now due them on said notes the sum of eighteen
hundn tl andfotty dollars and fifteen cents, and
praying that the equity of redemption in and to
said mortgaged property may forever be foreclose !.
It is ordered that the said John Trowbridge
pay in to Court on or before the first day of the
next term,the principal and interest due on said
mortgage, or shew cause whv the Equity of Re
denvtion unto said mortgaged premises should not
be forever barred and foreclosed against kirn; and
furl her. that a copy of this Rule be published in one
of the Gazettes of the City of Augusta once a

WHITE’S STATISTICS OF GEORGIA.
PROSPECTUS. —The First part will contain
an account of the Natural History of the
State under the heads of Geologv and Mineralogy,
Botony. Zoology. Ornithology, Ichthyology,Conch
ologv. Entomology and Herpetology.
Tho Second part, the Physical features of the
State and Climate, Diseases, Soil Productions, Riv
ers. Railroads and Canals.
The Third part will include the first Settlement,
Population. Government. Constitution, Judiciary,
Revenue, Resources. Taxes, Public Buildings,
Moral and Religions Institutions, Penal Code, with
a list of the Governors of the State.
The Fourth part will give the statistics of the
counties arranged under the follow ing heads, to wit:
History of settlement, origin of the name, situation,
boundaries, soil, adaptation to particular products,
towns, villages, rivers, creeks, mountains, roads,
bridges, public places, prices of land, grain and la
bor, manufacture', schools, churches, customs, «-
musements, instances of remarkable longevity and
short sketches of eminent men.
The Fifth part will consist of notices of the Abo
rigines of Georgia, taken from the manuscripts of a
gentleman who for many years discharged the du
ties of Indian Agent.
The work will also contain various Statistical ta
bles, relating to the commerce, population and
Revenue of the State of Georgia, illustrating its
means of progress and prosperity, compiled from
the most recent and authentic resources. A map
of the State will he appended to the work.
Conditions.—~Thtt work will be published in one
octavo volume, on good paper and with clear type,
about 700 pages, neatly bound in cloth- Price $3,
payable on delivery.
