GRISWOLD’S IMPROVED COTTON
GINS.
THE subscriber will continue the manufacture
of GINS on his usual extensive scale; and
embraces this opportunity to thank his numerous
customers tor their liberal patronage heretofore.—
The estimation in which his Gins are held may be
known from the tact of his having sold more than
two thousand within the last three years; probably
ten to one over any' other factory in the State.—
This evidence of the superiority of his Gins, is ac
counted for, by his being the first to introduce the
late improvements, and keeping the lead, by year
ly adding new ones. His first and second improve
ments, made the quality of cotton perfect, though
some were rather slow, his third made them suffi
ciently fast, it then only retrained to make them
more durable and convenient, which has been done
effectually, by several new improvements the pre
sent year; besides, he has the exclusive right of the
State, and the privilege of other sections, to furnish
Reed’s Patent M ater Boxes, which are believed to
be ten times more durable than any other, by those
who hayc made a fair trial of them, and are infalli
bly secure against fire by firiction. His fine Gins,
will gin Mastodon Cotton as well as any Saw Gin
can. His agents will visit planters generally, and
exhibit specimens of his late improvements, and
point out their advantages, in time, for all to en
gage, and be supplied before next ginning season,
or, engagements can be made by letter, directed to
him at Clinton, Jones county, Georgia. Gins, will
be delivered at the purchaser’s residence in an'
part ot the State, except the Cherokee counties
where they will be left at the Rail Road depot,
most convenient to the purchaser. All warranted
to perform well if usgd according to the printed
directions sent-witli each.

cines without such certificate.
EDWARD BARTON, Secretary.
GRRA3FENBBGM3DCINES.
The undersigned is fully prepared to establish a
GRAEFENBERG DEPOT in all places of pro
per size in South Carolina and Georgia. Immedi
ate application should be made, personally or by
■ letter to George Brainerd, agent, care ot Nelson
Carter, opposite Charleston Hotel. As there will
ordinarily he but one Depot in a town or village,
the agency will be very valuable.
The celebrated Medicines of the GRAEFEN*
BERG COMPANY are rapidly and completely
superseding all others. Where once introduced,
no one thinks of using any others. Their charac
ter is best explained hv the fact that THIRTY
THOUSAND BOXES OF THEIR PILLS A
LONE, ARE ISOLD EACH AND EVERY
WEEK.
Certificates upon certificates from all parts
of the country are constantly received, testifying
i to their wonderful powers. Their efficacy is al
! most immediately felt, so that a single box will
| show the invalid whether they are or are doing |
i him good. The sick should at once abandon all
! other medicines and give these Pills a fair trial.
The operations of the Company throughout the
| world ..re ol unprecedented magnitude, the high
and commanding character of which has received
the unqalified approbation of distinguished Clergy
men, Jurists. Philanthropists, and the public gene
rally. The Patent Medicine business is assuming
an entirely new position through the Graefecbcrg
Company. Almost every family in the land has
occasion to use some kind of patent medicine, and
an organization like that of this Company is ot !
paramount public importance. By this means re- i
liable medicines may be h d.

TO THE BEATTTIFIERS OF THE
COMPLEXION.
Surprising JEfficacy.
MY EAU DIVINE DE VENUS and NYMPH
SOAP, composed of an Eastern Botanical dis
covery of surprising efficacy, for rendering the
Skin soft and fair, as well as imparting a delicate
roseate hue to the complexion.
As a creator and conservator of that most distin
guishing charm of female loveliness, a transparent
tair skin, Jules Hand's Nymph Soap of Eau Divine
I)e Venus may he said to exert an almost magical
power. Composed for the most part oi Oriental
Balsamic Plants, to the utter exclusion ol all mine
ral admixture, it is distinguished medicinally for its
extremely bland, purifying and soothing action on
the skin; and by acting on the pores and minute se
cretory vessels, expels all impurities from the sur
face, allays every tendency to imflnmmation, and
by this method alone, effectually dissipates all red
ness, tan, px-inples, freckles, sunburn and other un
sightful cutaneous visitations, so inimical to female
lovliness. Its use will change the most bilious com
plexion into one of radiant wffiiteness; while on the
neck, hands and arms it bestows a delicacy and
fairness which its continued use will happily pro
tect, and every appearance of youthful charm, to
the most advanced period oflife. For sale, whole
