- GRISWOLD’S IMPROVED COTTON
GUSTS.
rEfAHE subscriber will continue the manufacture
’ JL of GINS on his usual extensive scale; and
embraces this opportunity to thank his numerous
customers for their liberal patronage heretofore.—
’ The estimation in which his Gins are held may be
known from the fact of his having sold more than
two thousand within the last three years; probably
ten to one over any other factory in the State.—
This evidence of the superiority of his Gins, is ac
counted for, by his being the first to introduce the
late improvements, and keeping the lead, by ycar-
Iv adding new ones. His first and second improve
ments, made the quality of cotton perfect, though
some were rather slow, his third made them suffi
> cicntly fast, it then only remained to make them
1 more durable and convenient, which has been done
* effectually, by several new improvements the pre
sent year; besides, he has the exclusive right of the
State, and the privilege of other sections, to furnish
Reed’s Patent Water Boxes, which are believed to
be ten times more durable than any other, by those
1 who have made a fair trial of them, and are infalli
■ bly secure against fire by firiction. His fine Gins
• will gin Mastodon Cotton as well as any Saw Gin
i can. Ills agents will visit planters generally, and
• exhibit specimens of his late improvements, and
point out their advantages, in time, for all to en
gage, and be supplied before next ginning season,
or, engagements can be made by letter, directed to
l> him at Clinton, Jones county, Georgia. Gins, will
be delivered at the purchaser’s residence in an*
c part of the State, except the Cherokee counties
where they will be left at the Rail Road depot.
- most convenient to the purchaser. All w arranted
n to perform well if used according to the printed
directions sent with each.

The undersigned is fully rrepared to establish a
GRAEFENBERG DEPOT in all places of pro
per size iu South Carolina and Georgia. Immedi
ate application should be made, personally or by
letter to George Brainerd, agent, care ct Kelson
Carter, opposite Charleston Hotel. As there will
ordinarily be but one Depot in a town or village,
the agency will be very valuable.
The celebrated Medicines of the GRAEFe.N
BERG COMPANY are rapidly and completely
superseding all others. Where once introduced,
no one think? of using any others. 1 heir charac
ter is best explained hv the fact that THIRFV
THOUSAND BOXES OF THEIR PILLS A
LONE, ARE SOLD EACH AND EVERY
WEEK.
Certificates upon certificates from all parts
ot the country are constantly received, testiiying
i to their wonderful powers. Their efficacy is al
most immediately felt, so that a single box will
show the invalid whether they are or are doing
him good. The sick should at once abandon all
Other medicines and give these Pills a lair trial.
The operations of tho Company throughout the
world ;.re ot unprecedented magnitude, the high
and commanding character of which has received
the unqalified approbation of distinguished Clergy
men, J urists, Philanthropists, and the public gene
rally. The Patent Medicine business is assuming’
an entirely new position through the Graefenberg

IVfY EAU DIVINE DE VENUS and NYMPH
J. V 0 SOAP, composed of an Eastern Botanical dis
covery of surprising efficacy, for rendering the
Skin soft and fair, as well as imparting a delicate
roseate hue to the complexion.
As a creator and conservator of that most distin
guishing charm of female loveliness, a transparent
f air skin, Jules Hauel’s Nymph Soap of Eau Divine
De Venus may be said to exert an almost magical
power. Composed for the most part oi Oriental
Balsamic Plants, to the utter exclusion of all mine
ral admixture, it is distinguished medicinally for its
extremely bland, purifying and soothing action on
the skin; and by acting on the pores and minute se
cretory vessels, expels all impurities from the sur
face, allays evert tendency to inflammation, and
by this method alone, effectually dissipates all red
ness, tan, prinples, freckles, sunburn and other un
sightful cutaneous visitations, so inimical to female
i lovliness. Its use will change the most bilious com
| plexion into one of radiant whiteness; while on the
j neck, hands and arms it bestows a delicacy and
I fairness which its continued use will happily pro
tect, and every appearance of youthful charm, to
the most advanced period of life. For sale, whole
