GRISWOLD’S IMPROVED COTTON
GINS.
rXIHE subscriber will continue the manufacture
X of GINS on his usual extensive scale; and
embraces this opportunity to thank his numerous
customers for their liberal patronage heretofore.—
The estimation in which his Gins are held may he
known from she fact of fas having sold more than
tivo thousand within the last three years; probably'
ten to one over any' other factory in (he State.—
This evidence of the superiority of his Gins, is ac
counted for. by his being the first to introduce the
late improvements, and keeping the lead, by year
ly adding new ones. His first and second improve
ments, made the quality of cotton perfect, though
some were rather slow, his third made them sufli
cientK fast, it then only remained to make them
more durable and convenient, which has been done
effectually, by several new improvements the pre
sent year; besides, he has the exclusive right of the
Ftatc, and the privilege of other sections, to furnish
Reed’s Patent Water Boxes, which are believed to
he ten times more durable than any other, by t hose
who have made a fair trial of them, anti are infalli
bly secure against fire by firiction. His fine Gins,
will gin Mastodon Cotton as well as any Saw Gin
can. His agents will visit planters generally, and
exhibit specimens of his late improvements, and
point out their advantages, in time, for all to en
gage. and be supplied before next ginning season,
or, engagements can be made by letter, directed to
’ him at Clinton, Jones county, Georgia. Gins, will
be delivered at the purchaser's residence in an'
part of the State, except the Cherokee counties
where they will be left at the Rail Road depot,
most convenient to the purchaser. All warranted
to perform well if used according to the printed
directions sent with each.

EDWARD BARTON, Secretary.
GRHAEFBNBBGMEDCINE3.
The undersigned is fully prepared to establish a
GRAFFENBERG DEPOT in all places of pro
per size in South Carolina and Georgia. Immedi
ate application should be made, personally or by
letter to George Brainerd. agent, care of Nelson
Carter, opposite Charleston Hotel. As there will
ordinarily be but one Depot in a town or village,
the agency will be very valuable.
The celebrated Medicines of the GRAIvFEN
BERG COMPANY are rapidly and completely
superseding all others. Where once introduced,
no one thinks of using any others. Their charac
ter is best explained by the fact that THIRTY
THOUSAND BOXES OF THEIR TILLS A
LU-NE, ARE SOLD EACH AND EVERY
U EEK.
Certificates upon certificates from all parts
of the country are constantly received, testifying
to their wonderful powers. Their efficacy is al
most immediately felt, so that a single box will
show the invalid whether they are or are doing
him good. The sick should at once abandon all
other medicines and give these Tills a fair trial.
The operations of the Company throughout the
world ai'? of unprecedented magnitude, the high
and commanding character of which has received
the unqalified approbation of distinguished Clergy
men, Jurists, Philanthropists, and the public gene
rally. The Patent Medicine business is assuming
an entirely new position through the Graefenberg
Company. Almost every family in the land has
occasion to use some kind of patent medicine, and
