GRISWOLD S IMPROVED COTTON
GINS.
THE subscriber will continue the manufacture ;
of GINS on his usual extensive scale; and
embraces this opportunity to thank his numerous
i customers for their liberal patronage heretofore.—
The estimation in w T hich his Gins are held may be
known from the fact of his having sold more than
two thousand within the last three years; probably
ten to one over any other factory in the State.—
This.evidence of the superiority of his Gins, is ac
counted for, by his being the first to introduce the
late improvements, and keeping the lead, by year
• ly adding new ones. His first and second improve
ments, made the quality of cotton perfect, though
, some were rather slow, his third made them suffi- .
i ciently fast, it then only remained to make them
. more durable and convenient. w T hich has been done
effectually, by several new improvements the pre
- sent year; besides, he has the exclusive right of the
State, and the privilege of other sections, to furnish
Reed’s Patent \Vater Boxes, which are believed to
i be ten times more durable than any other, by those
. who have made a fair trial of them, and are infalli
. bly secure against fire4>y firiction. H-is fine Gins.
1 will gin Mastodon Cotton as well as any Saw Gin
can. His agents will visit planters generally, and
. exhibit specimens of his late improvements, and
point out their advantages, in time, for all to en
, gage, and be supplied before next ginning season,
or, engagements can be made by letter, directed to
him at Clinton, Jones county, Georgia. Gins, will
» be delivered at the purchaser’s residence in an'
- ! part of the State, except the Cherokee counties
where they will be left at the Rail Road depot,
i i most convenient to the purchaser. All warranted
jto perform w r ell if used according to the printed
r i directions sent with each.

EDWARD BARTON, Secretary.
GRRAEFENBEGMSDCINBS.
The undersigned is fully prepared to establish a
GRAEFENBERG DEPO T in all places of pro
per size in South Carolina and Georgia. Immedi
ate application should be made, personally or by
letter to George Brainerd, agent, care of Nelson
Carter, opposite Charleston Hotel. As there will
ordinarily be but one Depot in a town or village,
the agency will be very valuable.
The celebrated Medicines of the GRAEFEN
BERG COMPANY are rapidly and completely
-superseding all others. Where once introduced, ,
no one thinks of using any others. Their charac
ter is best explained by the fact that THIRTY
THOUSAND BOXES OF THEIR PILLS A
-I.OXL. ARE SOLD EACH AND EVERY
WEEK.
Certificates upon certificates from all parts
of the country aie constantly received, testifying
to their wonderful powers. Their efficacy is al
most immediately felt, so that a single box will
show the invalid whether they are or are doing
him good. The sick should at cnce abandon all
other medicines and give these Pills a fair trial.
The operations of the Company throughout the
world are of unprecedented magnitude, the high
and commanding character of which has received
the unqalified approbation of distinguished Clergy
men, Jurists, Philanthropists, and the public gene
rally. The Patent Medicine business is assuming
an entirely 7 *iew position through the Graefenberg
Company. Almost every family in the land has
occasion to use some kind of patent medicine, and
an organization like that of this Company is of
paramount public importance. By this means re
liable medicines may be h id.
The leading article to which public attention is
invited is
