GALVANISM,
AND ITS PROOFS OF MERIT.
THE universal success which has attended the
introduction of Dr. CHRISTIE’S GAL
VANO-MAGNETIC REMEDIES in the United
States, it is believud, is without example in the
annals of Popular Medicine. A great deal of natu
ral prejudice had to be combatted, and the general
distrust attendant on any new discovery to be sub
dued; but amid these difficulties, the articles have
been constantly advancing in favor, and for the
simple reason, that they hare been universally suc
rcssful wherever they hare been properly and faithful
ly tried. But many persons —perhaps many thou
sands—who could receive the most valuable bane
fit from this discovery', are yet sceptical regarding
its results, and it is especially for the benefit of
this class—probably the most re pectable class—
that certificates and testimonials are presented
•through the medium of respectable journals. Every
column in this paper could be filled with the vol
uminary statements made by* the recipients of the
benefits conferred by Christie's Galvanic Articles,
and every day the number of witnesses to their
efficacy is increasing. In all NERVOUS DIS
EASES their benefits are certain and lasting.
[LjT*Ca vtion. —The great celebrity and success
of Dr. Christie’s Galvanic and Magnetic Curatives,
has caused them to be counterfeited by unprinci
pled persons. To protect the public against de
iception there is but ONE AUT II O 111 ZE D
AGENT appointed in eacli town or <-r,ity, from

MOUNT EAGLE TRIPOLI.
A REMARKABLE mineral, pronounced by
geologists to be a great rarity in nature and
k«own°to them by the name of Tripoli, has lately
• been discovered in this country, although hut in one
*bed, of very narrow limits, all owned by the “Mount
Eagle Manufacturing Company,” incorporated for
the sole purpose of its manufacture.
The article is excellent for burnishing and clean- |
in» all finished metallic and glass surfaces, such as ;
gWd, silver, brass, Britannia and steel ware, win- |
dow glass, &cc. Nothing has ever yet been discov- I
*ered equal to the pure Tripoli, and the common i
language of the consumer is, it is the best thingl
• ever saw. The genuine article is for sale by the
'exclusive agent for Augusta. WM. HAINES.

DR.JOEL BRANHAM’S LIVER AND
DYSPEPTIC MEDICINE.
IN offering this valuable - medicine to the people
of Georgia, for the relief andeure of many dis
eases incident to a Southern climate. I do not claim
for it infallibility; neither do I say it will cure all
diseases. But in Chronic Liver Affections and
Dyspepsia, I can confidently advise and recom
mend its use, from my personal observation and use
of the article in my own practice. This article is
favorably received wherever it has been used. I
am allowed to refer to Mr. George Heard of I 1 roup.
Mr. John Warren of Columbus, Mr. McKaitee of
Cobb, 3lr. Asbury 1 1 u uot Athens, Mr. William D.
Terrell ol Putnam, Rev. John E. Dawson of La
grange; to which a great number of names might
he added, who bear their testimony to its value.—
Dr. Henry Branham has used this medicine in his
own case, and has prescribed it to many others,
gives it as his opinion, that it is one of the safest
and most valuable medicines that can be used in
imperfect digestion, liver complaints, constipation
and irregular state of the bowels. It is useful in
billions complaints, to persons recovering from bil
lions fevers.and in sick or nervous head-ache. To
pregnant women, who are subject to costiveness,
this medicine is well suited. In regulating the state
of the stomach and bowels, and promoting digestion ,
if is particularly useful.
I could append a long list of certificates; but for
bear, prefering to rely on the virtues of the medi
cine to sustain itself. The medicine is a gentle and
certain cathartic, tonic and sudorific.
