Among the yeas, it was a source of gratification to us, and no doubt to the people of Georgia, that every represen tative from this State, gave his vote, ayr, to to the bill. But what asa I picture docs the above vote now present to us. Two of our members, THOMAS BUTLER KING and ROBERT TOOMBS, who voted in IS In, that the war was brought on by the act of Mexi co, in 1818, we find voting that the war was "unnecessarily and unconstitutionally hey an by ill-' President of the Halted States-,' and voting with them we find the name of ALEXANDER HAMILTON STEPHENS! another repre sentative from Georgia 1 Scripture teaches us. that he who is not for us is against us. Wc will not place these throe members, nor use the terms that their change of position provokes, but leave that for the people of this State and Union to do.
