The exports lor same period have been 2,617 bales Upland, as follows, to Liverpool 5011 bales; to Philadelphia 381 bales, to N. York 1,006 bales; and to Charles ton 602 hales—leaving a stock on hand including I all on shipboard not cleared, of 10,512 bales Uj>- ; land, and 1,220 do. Sea Island, against 139,260 I bales U land, and 2,201 bales Sea Island at same time last rear. The receipts of- Cotton at this port continue very jght for the season, and the stock is very low; holders arc consequently enabled to sell readily. There has been a brisk demand during j the past week, and our last quotations are fullv sustained. The market closes firmly with a slight tendency upwards. One tiling must not be lost sight of the supply is nn the iecre-ase, which, under present circumstances, will ha'-e a powerful influence in regulating prices. There' has been some enquiry for Long Cotton during the week.and 550 a 690 bales have been sold, comprising princi pally Maine, santee and the ordinary .qualities of Sea Island, at prices ranging from 16 to 24c These rates, we are told, have established a decline of 14a 29 cts. on the prices of the previous year. Corn. — There has been no demand for Country Corn. The market has been decidedly heavy, and 2or 3 small parcels have been forced oil’at re duced rales, viz —53 and 58c. per lmsd;el, accord ing to the arrangement about the bags. Present quotations are nominal. Received 1 y Rail Road 3000 bushels. Siome 2000 bushels received from North Carolina a few' days since sold in the neigh borhood of6Bc. per bushel. A second cargo was received yesterday, which is held over. Flour. —We have no new feature to report in the Flour market. The transactions dnee onr last, like these of the previous week, have been confined to small parcels Country, within the range of our quotations, chiefly, however at prices rang ing from 5J to .j*6 per barrel. Salt. —The article has become quite *carec. 7’mall lots from store readily command 51 37] per sack. Turks Island is selling from store by the 59 or I Oft bushels at 30 cents. Freights. — We quote to Liverpool |c. for Cotton in square bags; and to Havre ]c. Boston ]c. for Cotton; and 51 per tierce for Rice. To New York 20c. per 100 lbs. for Cotton; and s‘Jc, per tierce for Rice. COLUMBIA Jan. 22. Cotton —This arlielo re mains ateady without change in price. The sales on Monday amounted to over 400 bales ; on Tues day, business be ing suspended the greater part of the dav. the sales were small, and but 144 bales changed-hands, the larger portion being from store. On Wednesday, a good business was done, and up wards of 800'bales were disposed of. Our market remains firm, and we quote extremes from 5J to 7.4. Principal sales made from 7| to7f.
