BPPING’S COMPOUND
TRACT OT SARSAPARILLA AM)
QUEEN’S DELIGHT.
TO THE PUBLIC. —This preparation has
acquired a very extended and established ce
lebrity in most of the Southern States of the Union
—both in the hands of Physicians and private use
—which its efficacy alone has sustained for several
years, as a remedy for Scrofula or Kings’s Evil,
Ulcerated Sore Throat, long standing Rheumatic
Affection, Diseases ol the Skin, old Sores, White
Swellings, Diseases of the Honey, and all causes of
an ulcerous character. It is also particularly use
ful in chronic and nervous complaints occurring in
debilitated and cachetic constitutions. Over Sy
phillis and the host of painful, disagreeable and
hitherto incurable affections resulting therefrom,
such as Ulcers of ihe Throat, Larynx, Nodes, Ac.,
and all those evils occasioned by an improper and
injudicious use oj “mercury” it displays complete
control. It has been found to lie a most useful pu
rifier of the blood in all such diseases.
In all complicated cases ol Scrofula and Syphi
lis, and in cases where the Syphilitic virus of the
parent causes a development of Syphilis or Scro
fula in the child, this is ihe only remedy upon
which the hope of recovery can be reasonably
founded. It relieves the disease, and at the same
time imparts vigor to the whole system —under the
use of this medicine, the patient is enabled to take
nourishing food, which in other practice is w ith
held. In many cases where the horrible ravages
of disease have taken so deep root that patients
have been given up by die most skiifui physicians,
the disease has been arrested and the patient re
stored to good health, &c., and the most reasona
ble expectations fully satisfied.
The cures performed in this city alone, arc snffi
cient lo establish its reputation on a permanent
basis, and too solid to be effected either by the
malignant or envious. It is worthy ot note that
the greater part of the patients cured, bad previ
ously to using this preparation, received (he best
medical treatment and given up by their Phvsi
ciansas being beyond the reach of medical skill.
It is, however, advisable that it should be given, if
practicable, under the-iq erintendencc of a Phy
sician, for him lo prescribe such other remedies in
conjunction with this, as Ihe necessity of ihe case
may require. This preparation has put into the hand
of Physicians a remedy, by which they can master
a variety of diseases, which have bithertoo bathed
the greatest skill and study. It is a safe and harm
less medicine, and remo.es all those evils which
an unsuccessful use of mercury so often occasions.

“THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE.”
Take the language of Scripture, and the languace of
reason. I rom the blood is built up. particle by particle
the enure human body. Its bones and muscles and del
irate tissues are all the results of the gradual deposite of
minute partic es, willed are taken up hy tl.e various nr
pans throughout the system. As the wood of the tre*
grows, year by year, from the deposite of ligneous sub
stances from the sap which circulates through it- canil
ar> vessels, so does the organized living human body
grow, ami supply its natural waste from the materials
supplied by the blood alone; for the blood contains all
materials necessary to the reparation and growth of the
organs. °
As it is the only means by which the great function of
nutrition is accomplished, so also is this important vital
fluid the source of all the humors of the body. The
saliva, tears, bile, urine, perspiration and all other se
cretions, are taken from the blood. How indispensable
then is it that this FOUNTAIN OP LIFE be m a pure
and healthy state. 1
Bristol’s Sarsaparilla is the greatest purifier of the blood
known to the Materia Medica.
Invalids, Remember—That Bristol’s is the only pure
extract of Sarsaparilla prepared in this country, one hot
tie of which is worth ten of the kind offered by many
unprincipled quacks throughout the United States 3
The case of James Wyckoff has no equal, it stands
out alone. Bristol s Sarsaparilla has achieved, in Ups
cure, a reputation and a fame that can never be won bv
any other medicine. 3
A synopsis of the case, and a quotation extracted from
the most influential and respectable press, is all that can
be given ... this sheet. The history of the young man
has been printed, and is in the hands of agents.
If, in the days of the Apostles, among the many who
sought miraculous relief at their hands, there had been
brought to them the remnant of a human bcitt" deaf
umb and partially blind, with both legs and one arm
eaten oil by ulceration, his ears. Ins nose, and palate
too, completely destroyed by the ravages of the terrible
disease, whose work of destruction was surely and
swiftly going on—would it not have been deemed a
striking illustration of miraculous power had the cruel
malady been at once stayed—its horrible ulcerations at
once healed—and the mutilated body of the sufferer re
lieved from racking pain, his appetite restored his sleep
again rendered sound and refreshing—his flesh spirits
animation once more returned—in short, a complete
restoration to general health effected.
Such would indeed have been deemed a miracle yet
such a wonderful work lias been wrought by Bristol’s
Sarsaparilla!
James Wyckoff, now 22 years of age, and the son of
l eter yv yckoff. a farmer of Clarence, ferie Co. New
York, is the living monument of this most wonderful
cure. When five years old, being attacked by measles
he had a preparation of mercury administered to him’
and for eleven years of wasting pain, and frightful mu
tilation, were its pernicious effects at work. Awful he
yond description were the sufferings of that poor hoy
during the interval, as detailed in an interesting history
of his extraordinary cure, published in 1846, for bis ben
efit, and which can he had from Bristol’s agents.
Six years have now elapsed since this modern miraclo
was performed, and the person vet lives to testify
though mutely, yet most eloquently—to the curative pro
perties of Bristol’s Sarsaparilla,
CASE OF INFLAMATORY RHEUMATISM.
Hartford, Cony., Sept. 29. 1642.
This may certify that I have been a subject of Inflam
matory Rheumatism for the last eighteen years, and
often confined to my bed for four or six weeks by’ each
attack. I have tried every possible remedy that the
most ce'ebrafed of the New York medicinal faculty
could prescribe, Resides any quantity of quack medi
cines, but did not obtain permanent "relief.
Soon after resuming my residence in Hartford, I hail
the most severe attack 1 ever had. I was confined to
my room two months, and when I left it was scarce y
able to walk, and not without the most severe pain. My
lameness 'asted from last October to the June following
Having business in New York last Februai v, 1 was
there introduced to a gentleman by the name of Thomas
Hogan, who highly recommended Bread's Sarsaparilla.
He told roe that he had been confined to lii.s bed eight
months, with Rheumatism and Scrofula, and his phy
sicians find given him up, as past recovery. He used
fifteen bottles of Bristol’s Sarsaparilla, and it was to
this medicine alone that he attributed his present exis
tence.
1 concluded to defer the trial until 1 returned to Hart
ford, and again consulted my physician, whose prescrip
tion 1 followed-until May, without relief. 1 then bought
Bristol’s Sarsaparilla of you, and continued taking itac
cording to directions. I then visited New York again,
and was there introduced to Mr. Bristol, who advised
mo by all mean® to persevere. I called on twenty dif
ferent individuals of the first respectability, who had
been cured of all the ills that flesh is heir to, who all at
tribute their restoration to health entirely to this invalu
able medicine. With all this testimony," ( continued liil
I had taken sixteen buttles, which has restored me to
perfect health. I shall be happy at any time to give any
one all the information that lam possessed of, in regard
to this invaluable medicine, and confidently recommend
it to ail who aic afflicted with the diseases for which it
ie recommended.
Respectfully yours, S. L. MOORE.
