DYSPEPTICS READ THIS!
DR. ALLEN’S VEGETABLE COM
POUND, for the cure of Dyspepsia, Liver
Complaint, Nervous Debility, Billions Affections,
Ac., (See. This medicine is offered to the public
under the assurance that there is no article in ex
istence having stronger claims to their considera
tion. Being compounded by a regular graduate of
Jefferson College, Philadelphia, and a practising
Physician of twenty years standing in Phila
delphia, his long experience has confirmed him in
the opinion, that a compounded medicine was re
quired to PREVENT and REMEDY the DEBILITA
TION produced by residing in low miasmatic cr.i
mates, and to counteract the prostrating influ
ences of the many nervous disorders with which
the human family are arfiicted.
Dr. Allen is a well known Physician, and has
used the above medicine in his practice for
teweve years with the most astonishing effect,
having tested its qualities in above
FIVE THOUSAND CASES.
No medicine ever received more flattering re
commendation from Physicians of eminent stand
ing than has been bestowed on this. Read the
following:
The late Dr. GEORGE McCLELAN, of Phila
delphia, pronounced it one of the BEST TONIC
preparations he had ever used, and recommended
it strongly in cases of Dyspepsia, Narvous Debili
ty, Ac.
The following is an extract of a letter from
DR. ROBERT AGNEVV,
an eminent Physician of Lancaster county, Pa.
‘‘Dr. Aelen.— Dear Sir : —lt is with great plea
sure that I inform you of the success attending
your Medicine, while employed in my practice.
Ijfirmly believe that in eight cases out of ten the
Dyspeptic may, by the use of your Medicine, rid
himself of this thorn in the pathway of life. Not
only in Dyspeptic cases, hut in all casess of con
stipation and diseases depending on a debi'itated
state of the nervous system, togesher with a tor
pid state of the Bowels, will your Elixir he of in
estimable value.”

EPPING’S COMPOUND FLUID EX
TRACT OF SARSAPARILLA AND
QUEEN’S DELIGHT.
fTYO THE PUBLIC.—This pi eparation has
J. acquired a very extended and established ce
lebrity in most of the Southern States of the Union
—both in the hands of Physicians and private use
—which its efficacy alone has sustained lor several
years, as a remedy for Scrofula or Kings’® Evil,
Ulcerated Sore Throat, long standing Rheumatic
Affection, Diseases of the Skin, old Sores, White
Swellings, Diseases of the Bones, and all causes of
an ulcerous character. It is also particularly use
ful in chronic and nervous complaints occurring in
debilitated and cachetic constitutions. Over Sy
phillis and the host of painful, disagreeable and
hitherto incurable affections resulting therefrom,
such as Ulcers of the Throat, Larynx, Nodes, Ac.,
and all those evils occasioned by an improper and
injudicious use oj “mercury, it displays complete
control, it has been found to be a most useful pu
rifier of the blood in alt such diseases.
In all complicated cases of Scrofula and Syphi
lis, and in cases where the Syphilitic virus of the
parent causes a development of Syphilis or Scro
fula in the child, this is the only remedy upon
which the hope of recovery can be reasonably
founded. It relieves the disease, and at the same
time imparts vigor to the whole system —under the
use of this medicine, the patient is enabled to take
nourishing food, which in other practice is with
held. In many cases where the horrible ravages
of disease have taken so deep root that patients
have been given up by the most skilful physicians,
the di- ease has been arrested and the patient re
stored to goodhealth, Ac., and the most reasona
ble expectations fully satisfied.
The cures performed iu this city alone, are suffi
cient to establish its reputation on a permanent
basis, and too solid to he effected either by the
malignant or envious. It is worthy of note that
the greater part of the patients cured, had previ
ou-lv lo using this preparation, received the best
medical treatment and given up by their Physi
cians as being beyond the reach ol medical skill.
It is, however, advisable that it should he given, if
practicable, under the ?ur erintendence of a Phy
sician, for him to prescribe such other remedies in
conjunction with this, as the necessity of the case
may require. This preparation has put intothe hand
of Physicians a remedy, by which they can master
a variety of diseases, which have hilhertoo baffled
the greatest skill and study. It is a safe and harm
less medicine, and removes all those evils which
an unsuccessful use of mercury so often occasions.
Price £1 per Bottle, or $5 for six Bottles. Pre
pared and for sale by J. P. M. EPPING, Chemist
and Druggist, 277 King-street, opposite Society
street, Charleston, SS. C. For sale in Augusta, by
PHILIP A. MOISE,
aul6-sra Sole Agent for Augusta.

CHOLERA PREVENTED.
4 MEDICINE for *ll complaints of the Blood,
Nervous attacks, or Bilious Affections.
Invalids Read!—Among the remedies of the day
wlku medicine is the best ? This question has been an
swered by the unsolicited testimonials of more than TWO
HI NDKKD THOUSAND TFKSONS ! who have hoea
restored to health and usefulness by the use of
BRISTOL’S SARSAPARILLA!
It cures because it removes the acrid humors from thu
h«dy, and by purifying Hie Mood makes Hie system iiu
pervious to disease.
THE CHOLERA
need produce no fear to those who make a free use of
Bristol’s SarsapariHa. Pure blood is a powerful bulwark
.against the encroachments of disease, and the pesti
lence which is again spreading throughout our land, may
a gieat degree avoided, hy using Bristol’s Sarsapa-
Ihjsentrvy, Costiveness, Summer Orrmplaiiits, Cholic Ship
Fever, Pains in the Pack, Side ana Head, Canker,’Ulce
rated Throat, Bronchitis, Canker of the St,.mart,' Fiver
and -Serve, Bilious Fever, Typhus, and all other Fevers,
& Small Bor, Measles, Scarlet Fevers, Rheumatism, Outa
■ni ous Eruptions, Erysipelas, Liver Complaint, Jaundice,
Coughs, Colds and Consumption.
These complaints are ail occasioned by impure Mood,
and are permanently cured by the use of Bristol’s Sarsa
parilla.
“THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE.”
Take the language of Scripture, and the language of
reason. From the blood is bmlt up, particle by particle.
Hie entire human body. Its bones and muscles and del
icate tissues are all tbe results of the gradual deposite of
minute particles, which are taken up by the various or
gans throughout the system. As tlie wood of the tree
grows, year by year, from the deposite of ligneous sub
stances from the sap w hich circulates through its capil
lary vessels, so does the organized living human body
grow, ami supply its natural waste from the material*
supplied by the blood alone; lor the blood contains ail
materials necessary to the reparation and growth of the
organs.
As it is the only means by which the great function of
nutrition is accomplished, so nlso is this important vital
tin id the source of all Hie humors of the body. The
saliva, tears, bile, urine, perspiration and all oilier se
cretions, are taken from the blood. How indispensable
then is it that this FOUNTAIN OF LIFE he in a puie
and healthy state.
Bristol’s Sarsaparilla is the greatest purifier of the blood
known totlie Materia Medina.
Invalids, Remember—That Bristol’s is Hie only pure
extract of Sarsaparilla prepared in this country, one bot
tle of which is worth ten of the kind offered by many
unprincipled quacks throughout the United states.
The case of James Wyckoff has no equal, il stands
out alone ! Bristol’s Sarsaparilla has achieved, to this
cure, a reputation and a fame that can never be won by
any other medicine.
A synopsis of the case, and a quotation extracted from
the most influential and respectable press, is all that r an
be given in this sheet. The history of the young man
has been printed, and is in the hands of agents.
If, in the days of the Apostles, among the many who
sought miraculous relief at their hands, there had been
brought to them the remnant of a human being, deal,
urnb and partially blind, with both legs and one ami
eaten off by ulceration, his ears, his nose, and palate
too, completely destroyed hy the ravages of the terrible
disease, whose work of destruction was surely and
swiftly going on—would it not have been deemed a
striking illustration of miraculous power had the cruel
malady been at once stayed—its horrible ulcerations at
once healed—and the mutilated body of the sufferer re
lieved from racking pain, his appetite restored—his sleep
again rendered sound and refreshing—lds flesh, spirits,
animation once more returned—in short, a complete
restoration to general health effected.
Such would indeed have been deemed a miracle yes
such a wonderful work has been w rought by’ Bristol’s
Sarsaparilla!
James Wyckoff, now 22 years of age, and Hie son of
Peter Wyckoff, a farmer of Clarence, Erie Co., New
York, is the living monument of this most wonderful
cure. When five years old, being attacked by measles,
he had a preparation of mercury administered to him,
and for eleven years of wasting pain, and frightful mu
illation, were its pernicious effects at work. Awful be
youd description were the sufferings of that poor boy
during the interval, as detailed in an interesting Idstory
of his extraordinary cure, published in IB4fi, for his ben
efit, and which can be hail frrjm Bristol’s agents.
s.~ vt-acrf hiifun.iw elapsed since inis modern miracle
was performed, and the person yet lives to testify
though mutely, yet most eloquently—to the curative pro
perties of Bristol’s Sarsaparilla.
CASE OF INFLAMATORY RHEUMATISM.
Hartkoko, Cox.v., Sept. 2y, 1843.
This may certify that 1 have been a subject of Inflam
matory Rheumatism for '.he last eighteen years, and
olten confined to my bed for four or six weeks by each
attack. I have tried every possible remedy that the
most celebrated of the New York medicinal faculty
could prescribe, besides any quantity of quack medi
cines, but did not obtain permanent relief.
Soon idler resuming rny residence in Hartford, I had
the most severe attack I ever had. 1 was confined t»
my room two months, and when I left it was scarcely
able to walk, and not without Hie most severe pain. My
lameness lasted from last October to the June following.
Having business in New York last February, I was
there introduced to a gentleman by the name of Thomas
Hogan, who highly recommended Bristol’s Sarsaparilla.
He told me that he had been confined to his bed eight
months, with Rheumatism and Scrofula, and his phy
sicians had given him up, as past recovery. He used
fifteen bottles of Bristol’s Sarsaparilla, and it was to
this medicine alone that be attributed his present exis
tence.
1 concluded to defer the trial until 1 returned to Hart
ford, and again consulted my physician, whose prescrip
tion I followed until May, w ithout relief. I then bought
Bristol’s Sarsaparilla of you, and continued taking it ac
cording to directions. 1 then visited New York again,
and was there introduced to Mr. Bristol, who advised
me by all means to persevere. I called ou twenty dif
ferent individuals of tlie first respectability, who had
been cured of ail Hie ills that flesh is heir to, who all at
tribute their restoration to health entirely to this invalu
able medicine. With all this testimony, I continued till
I had taken sixteen bottles, which has restored me to
perfect health. I shall be happy at any time to give any
one all the information that I am possessed of, in regard
to this invaluable medicine, and confidently recommend
it to all who are atflicted with the diseases for which it
ie recommended.
Respectfully yours, 8. L. MOORE.
REMEMBER
That Bristol’s Sarsaparilla is the only Original Me
dicine, and that all the various Sarsaparilla* that have
sprung up in the last few years are mere imitations.—
Bristol’s was established in 1832. In 1840 the proprie
tor* at mi immense sacrifice, enlarged the bottles to*
quart, thus offering to the atflicted a large quantity and
a pure article for the money than was ever before offer
ed.
These who buy Sarasparilla should be sure they are
luiying the genuine article. Ask for Bristol’* Obioiral
Sarsaparilla.
