ADDRESS TO THE MARRIED I
Dr. Larzetii’s Juno Cordial, or Procrea
tive Elixir.
r| Hi IS is the only actual remedy ever discover*
' i ed for Impoteucy. Genital Debility, Noctur
i nal Emission, and all diseases occasioned by cer
•ain secret habits; and many of the nostrums re
cently recommended for the same complaints are
worthless imitations which its unrivalled excel
!enee, fame and jiopuiarity have brought into the
market. The Medical Faculty of Europe and the
United States are unanimous in their recommen
dations of the Juno Cordial, and have not given
their sanction in a single instance that has been
authenticated, to any compound for the same pur-
I poses. The nature of the maladies relieved b} the
! Juno Cordial are generally such as to leave the
publication of certificates of cures nut of the ques
tion, or the proprietor could produce a host olThe
most conclusive testimony to shew that the great
reputation that it enjoys was not accidently ob
tained. hut is firmly based upon its positive and ap
parently miraculous virtues. In ail directions are
to be found the happy parents of healthy offspring,
who would not have been so but for this extra
i ordinary preparation. And it is equally potent in
I the many diseases for which it is recommended.
Object ion has been naturally made to the price of
the Juno Cordial, because the trash that has been
| thrown into the market in opposition to it is sold
cheaper; hut the tact is, the Cordial cannot be
j afforded lor less, and ought to be much dearer, as 1
i many of the ingredients whic h compose it are a- ;
mot.g Hie costliest things in nature ; whereas, the
others are made up of cheap drugs, worth hut lit
tie :n money, and less in merit. \Ve as.-urethe
reader that the utmost reliance may he placed on
the Juno Cordial in the core of the maladies men
tioned above, and also, of those which follow, viz I i
Lossot Muscular Energy. Physical Lassitude and j
General Prostration. Irritability, and all Nervous
' Affections, Indigestion,Sluggishness of the Liver.
I Gleet, or Lucorrhcea or Whites, and Flour Albns,
amt every disease in auy way connected with the ,
lisorder of the Procreative Functions—in all of
which it will afford almost immediate relict, and if :
used us directed, is almost certain to produce a
positive and permanent cure. Persons ahoul to !
marry, if conscious of any weakness or di>abiiity
of a certain nature, should take the Cordial, as it
wiil infallibly restore health and vigor in a brief ’
period, and where want of offspring is a cause of
.•egret, if recourse be had to it, the most beneficial '
results may be anticipated with confidence, ft is I
of priceless value to those without offspring. It '
has taken the precedence in Italy, and will in all ;
other countries where it may become known.
it also possesses the unrivalled qualities of cur- j
ing incipient Consumption, and 1 have administer
id it with great success to patients who have 1
sought our delightful climates for the restoration of j
their health, and the result is that a medicine has
Oeen added to the catalogue for the cure of incip
ient consumption.
Po spread wide the blessings of this medicine, I j
have appointed Messrs. Judson &c Co., ©f the city

ISAAC BROOKS’, JR., CASE!
Go and see him and you will say the half has not been
told!!!
We the undersigned having visited Mr. Issac
Brooks, Jr., at the office ui Messrs. Rowand &
Walton, 373 Market street. Philadelphia, consider :
his case the most remarkable one we have ever j
witnessed or heard of.
His disea>e was Scrofula, and terrible must have !
been hi> twelve years’ conflict with the destroyer! j
His Palate, the entire rol of his .Month,Nose,Upper j
Lip. and lower lid of the Eye haye been destroy- i
ed, his Face nearly eaten up. and part of the Jaw 1
Bone carried away. And yet wc can give no dcr j
scription of his case.
Mr. B. informs us that in January last, the whole
interior of his mouth, as well as most of his lace,
was a mass of deep and painfui ulcers.
On the 14th ol January last, he commenced ta- i
king Dr. Cullen’s Indian V egetable Panacea,which
checked the disease in a few days, and from that
time the cure has progressed without in'ermission. j
New flesh has supplied ths place of the deep ul- |
cers, and though badly disfigured, las face is SOqnd j
and his general health is restored,
We are assured that in the treatment of Mr.
Brooks’ case no Mercurials, Ointments, or Caustic
have been used, —in fact, the Panacea
alone, has wrought this wonderful change.

Have you a cough, cold, or the consumption? j
If you have, tre Dr. Hastings, Compound
i Syrup of Naphtha. This medicine is the discove
ry of the cefebrated Dr. Hastings, Sgqior Physi
cian to the Blenheim Free Dispensary of London.
Dr Hastings had his early' attention drawn to the
| consideration of the causes of, and the cure for
I consumption, and after numerous experiments, and
long years of patient and laborious study-, discov
ered that Wood Naphtha compounded with other
j vegetable substances, was a certain and speedy
cure for consumption, and qll diseases of the lungs.
The Naphtha being of a Very’ volatile batqre, im
mediately rises to the lungs, the seat of the dis
ease, and attacking it in its stronghold, destroys all
tubercles that have formed upon the lungs, and
I prevents the formation of others. For coughs and
1 colds it is an invaluable remedy, curing the most
gevgre in an incredible short space of time. A
single bottle w|id plT ; ”e the virtue of this remedy.
In tact, a single dose will effect an uliiiost instanta-

Opinions of the Philadelphia Press.
‘‘ The Dispatch,” December 3lsl, says—\s lx-
V' ALU ABLE Medicine.— We have frequently heard
(he celebrated German Bitters, manufactured by
Dr. Hoofland, spoken of in terms of commendation,
and we know deservedly so. It is a too common
practice, in certain quarters, to put off all manner
of useless trash, but in the case ol the above Bit
ters, hundreds are living, witnesses of their great
moral and physical worth. Asa medicine for the I
| Liver Complaint, Jaundice, Nervous Debility and i
Dyspepsia, it has been found invaluable, effecting
cures and thoroughly eradicating diseases, when !
all other medicines have tailed. We feel con- <
vinced, that in the use of the German Bitter-, the 1
| patient does not become debilitated, but constunt
i iy gams strength and vigor to the frame—a fact
! worthy of great consideration. The Bitters are
; pleasant in taMe and smell, and can he adminis
i tered under any circumstances, to the most deli
! cate stomach. Indeed they can be u-ed by all
1 persons with the most perfect safety. It would be
! well for those who are much affected in M»e ner
-1 vous system, to commence with one , ifu!
|or less, and gradully increase. We sp-i.h . mi e\-
i perience, and are of course, a proper migr. Tiie
press far and wide, have united in recommending
the German Bitters, and to the afflicted we must
j cordially advise their use.”
"Spirit of the Times,” June 24th, says—‘Doom
good citizens who are invalids, know the many as
j tonishing cures that have been performed by Dr.
Hoofland’s celebrated <-ermao Bitte s ? If they
do not. we recommend them to the • German Me
dicine Store,’ all who are afflicted with Liver Com
plaint, Jaundice, Dyspepsia, or Nervous Debility ;
the Doctor has cured many ol our citizens after
the best physicians had failed. We have used
them, and they have proved to be a medicine that
every one should know of, and we cannot refrain
giving our testimony in their favor, and that which
gives them great claim upon our humble effort,
they are entirely vegetable.”
" The Daily New*,” July 4th, says—• We speak
knowingly of Dr. Hoofland’s celebrated Geimau
Bitters, when we say it is a blessing of this age ;
and in diseases of the biliary, digestive and Ner
vous systems, it has not, we think, an equai. It is
a Vegetable Perforation, and made without Aleohot,
and to all invalids we wouid lecommeud it as w >r

“THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE.”
Tar o the language of Scripture, and the language of
) reason From the blood is built up, particle bv particle,
j the entire human body. Its bones and muscles and del
! irate tissues are all the resuits of the gradual deposits ol
, minute particles, which are taken up bv the various or-
I guns throughout the system. As the w’ood of the tree
j grow s, \ ear by year, troni the deposit© of ligneous sub
stanc os from the sap which circulates through its capil
lary vessels-, so does the organized living human body
grow, and supply its natural waste front the material
supplied by the blood alone,; for the blood contains all
materials necessary to the reparation and growth of the
organs.
As it is the only means by which the great function ol
nutrition is accomplished, so also is this important v tal
fluid the source of all the humors of the body. The
saliva, tears, bile, urine r perspiration and ail other se
cretions, are Taken from the blood. How indispensable
then is it that this lOf .N lAI N OF LIFE he in a pure

A synopsis of the case, and a quotation extracted from
the most influential and respectable f*rcss, is ail that ran
he given in this sheet. The history of the young man
has been printed, and is in the hands of agents.
If, in the days of the Apostles, among the many who
sought miraculous relief at their hands, there had been
brought to them the remnant of a human being, deaf
umh and partially blind, with both legs and one arm’
eaten off by ulceration, h/s ears, his nose, and pa’ate
to oinpetely destroyed by the ravages of the terrible
disc;, o, whose work of destruction was surely and
Mviftl. going on—wouid it not have been deemed a
stnkiii illustration of miraculous pi wer had the cruel
malady been at once stayed—its horrible ulcerations at
once healed—and me mutilated body of the sufferer re
lieved from racking pain, his appetite restored—his sleep
again rendered sound and refreshing—his flesh, spirit*
animation once more returned—in short, a complete
restoration to general health effected.
t'uch would Indeed have been deemed a miracle vet
such a wonderful work has bsvn wrought by Bristol’s
•Sarsaparilla!
James Wyrkoff, now 29 years of age, and the son ol
Peter Wyckoff, a farmer of Clarence, Erie Co., New
York, is the living monument of this most wonderfu
euro. When five years old, being attacked by measles
he had a preparation of mercury administered to him’

CASE OF iXFLAMATORY RHEUMATISM.
Hartford, Conn., Sept. 29 1849.
This may certify that 1 have been a subject of Inflam
matory Rheumatism u.r me last eighteen years, and
oiieti confined to my bed for four or six weeks by’ each
attack. I have tried every possible remedy that the
most ce ebrnted of the New Y ork medicinal faculty
could prescribe, besides any quantity of quack medi
cines, but did not obtain relief.
Soon after resuming ;,qy residence in Hartford, I had
tiie most sevoie attack I ever had. I was confined to
my room two months, and when i left it was scarce v
able to walk, ondtiot without the most severe pain. Mv
lameness lasted mho last October to -he June following
Having business in New York last February, I was
there introduced to a gent eman by the name ol Thomas
Hogan, who highly recommended Bristol’s Har*apanlla,
lie told me Unit he had been confined to Jysffied enffit
months, with Rheumatism and S, rofulu, and his phy
sicians had given him up. as past recovery. He used
i fifteen houles ot Bristol’s Harsaparilla, nod it was to
this medicine alone that he ttUnouted his present exis
tence.
i concluded to defer the trial until I returned to Hart
‘ ford, and again consulted my physician, whose prescrip
tion I followed until May, without relief. 1 then bought
\ Bristol’s Sarsaparilla of you, and continued taking it ac
cording to directions. I then visited New York again
and was there introduced to Mr. Bristol, who advised
me by qll ...eaus to persevere. I called on twenty dif
tereut individuals of the first respectability, who had
been cured of all the ills that flesh i* fieir to, who all at
tribute their restoration to health entirely to this invalu
able medicine- \VtVh all this testimony,' i continued till
I fiad taken sixteen bottles, w hich has restored me to
perfect health. I shall be happy at any time to give any
one all the information that I am possessed of, in regard
i to this invaluable medicine, and confident v recommend
i to all who are afflicted with the diseases tor which it
te. •; oinmended.

That Bristol’* Sarsaparilla is the only Original Me

sprung up in the last few years are mere imitations.—
Bristol’s was established in 1832. In 1840 the proprie

quart, thus offering to the afflicted a large quantity and
a pure article for the money than was ever before offer
