MARCH OF IMPROVEMdNT.
IN the age of progressive knowledge, many
. things herctolore dark and obscure have be
come clear and practical—not only in relation to
the arts and sciences, but in every department
of human industry'. In no branch perhaps, has
the march of improvement been much greater
than in the healing art, in pioducing safer and more
efficient remedies than heretofore known.— Noth
ing is so effectual cr so often needed as the Ver
mifuge prepared by Dr. Lillie to c : re chi dren of
worms; bender being alway s safe and sure, it will
restore feeble or puny children to health again if
given a few times.—. Many cases of fever, violent
cough or croup, hurried or difficult brextniug. &c.
originate from worms, and are consequent y cured
in a very short time by the use cf this medicine.
In Monroe county, a tew days ago, a child was vio
lently attacked with u cough and fever, and after
several days of regular phy sicking its life was des
paired cf, when Little's Vermifuge was given,
which caused the expulsion of a large quantity of
worms, i-.rjd tho child recovered immediately.
Families consulting own interest, will find
it greatly to (heir advantage to procure the arti
cle in dollar bottle?, and use it as advised lor a 1
the common aliments of children. Generally speak
ing, more than half the cases that occur are from
worms, as little as many may think of it. By those
w ho have tested it, and many- have, the fact is well
known, that Dr. Little’s Anodyne Ccugh Drops
and V ermifuge will cure roost cases of children
and half grown persons quicker than any other
remedies, adopt what course you may.
The following case, from a very respectable
plant* r of Houston county, demonstrates an im
portant principle. Read it!
Houston Co., August, 1019.
Dr. Little —Dear Sir: After having use a several
vermifuge medicines, and even calomel, without
'Ucccssin relieving our child of worms, we then
gave your Vermifuge according to directions,
which very iooq cau-ed the expulsion of a large
quantity of worms.—After that the child got well
immediately. E. EZELL.
Its u»*e clearly Proven.
Dr. Little —Sir: Having been afflicted with a
cough for some time past, 1 have cousequently
tried several preparations lor it, and among them
the Balsam ol Wild Cherry; but I find your Ano
dyne Cough Drops much superior to that or any
Other medicine 1 eyer used.—-Besidps, 1 ha,e used
them iu my family in cases of croup, and fins them
g most excellent remedy for it.
Respectfully, 4tc. J. J. JAMESON.
Talbottok, 1848.
Dr. Lillie —Dear Sir I feel it a duty to inform
you of a case in which you Anodyne Cough Drops
wgs used with so much success. For the last twen
ty years a i;cgroman of mine has had severe cough
and asthma coming on by'spells every three or four
weeks, and sometimes Wjth so much violence as
nearly to proye fatal. He has taken much medi
cine. besides being attended by physicians,''Vith
but little benefit. During an attack, Dr. Smead
prescribed your Cough Drops, which soon relieved
the cough and difficult breathing; he continued the
medicine for a*|f’ew day?, when he had no more
symptoms of the disease left. Several months have
elapsed cincv, and there has been no return what
ever, and now is eiijqyiag psccUgnt health. I
have known the medicine to be used frequently for
coughs, colds, &c. with excellent effect. Truly
yours. WM. L. WALKER.
Dr. Little —Sir . i was attacked with a severe
cough, paiu and soreness in the breatt. for several
days, when {began taking your Anodyne Cough
Drops. After a few doses, I fell completely leiiev
ed. which 1 continued but a day or two before I
was cured. \ours, &c. VVM. TRAPP.
