AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, FRIDAY MORNING, JANUARY 3, 1851. {From the Georgia Telegraph.) IT is a wcil known fact that children, particular ly during the winter and spring seasons, are very subject to Coughs, Cold, and Inflammatory bever, Croup, 4*c., which can be cured sooner and more effectually by Dr. LITTLES Anodyne Cough Drops, than by any otbei remedy. Many of these affections, as well as a great variety of others, are produced by worms, or the irritation produced by them, when Little’s Vermifuge is tc be given. With these two medicines, which any family can give with impunity, all such cases can be cured sooner than by any other course. It has become quite a common saying with those who have used them, that these preparations have saved them a doctor’s bdl. Those who doubt the efficiency of these medicines without having tried them, are to be pitted for their ignorance. Dr. Gorman, who was long a member of the Me dical Board of Georgia, writes thus: Macon, Nov. 1,1848. Dr. G. W. Little —Sir : Concerning your Phar maceutical Medicines, as you ask my opinion, I will state that I hs ve seen and know enough of your Cough Drops to say, that they are the very best 1 ever knew. However violent or deep-seat ed coughs and irritations of the lungs may be my experience is, that this remedy will effectually con.rol or cure them in a very short time. I find your Vermifuge to tuliv answer the pur pose, in relieving children of worms without any thing else to follow. It would be very advanta geous for families to use frequently on mere sus picion that worms exist. From your long experience in the practice of Medicine, and extensive engagement in the Drug business, I doubt not but all your compound medi cines (Pharmaceuticals) are in advance of any thing offered to the public. Yours,&c.. THUS. B. GORMAN, M. D. Col. Dean's Statement. Macon, Jan. 1849. Dr. Little —Sir: Your Anodyne Cough Drops I find to be a most excellent medicine. A case of several weeks standing of a most violent cough and pain in the breast, threatening to be of a seri ous character, was entirely cured by the use of one bottle—previously, every other thing had fail ed. Within a month or two past, several other cases have occuned in my family, some of which were very severe attacks of t oughs and colds of the season, which this remedv promptly relieved. Your Vermifuge in a number of cases we have given, and could really wish for nothing better, as it fully answered tne purpose without anything else. Medicines, when prepared by a regular physi cian, like yourself, are expected to be good ; but seldom or never have I seen any so efficient, or niv,r* certain to be relied on than your Cough Diops ana Vermifuge. Truly, yours, 6i c. JAMES DEAN. Beware of imposition and avoid the use of sub stitutes. The fac-simiie ol Dr. W. G LITTLE, will be found upon the outside wrapper of each o: his Medicines. She is now in good health, from the use of a few bottles of the above B yrup. HIRAM COX, M. D. Cmriouati January 25, 1847. From the Hon. Judge Henry Morse. Mr. A. L. HENRY MORSE. Cincinnati, Nov. Bth, 1847. From William Richards , M. D. 1 feel constrained from a sense of duty to make the following statement, conscious that it may aps pear unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, of thi city, was quite low with Pulmonary Consumpiion, for which 1 had been treating with less than usual success. At his request, and that of his friends, 1 permitted him to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and Far; and 1 must confess that its effects were real ly surprising. After using the second bottle, my visits were discontined, and he was soon restored to health. I !o con cientiously recommend my brother practiouers to prescribe this remedy m all pu nionary complaints which baffle the ordinary mode of treatment. WM. J. RICHARDS, 31. I). Cincinnati, Oct. Ist, 1844. Despair not though your Physicians and friends give you up to die ! 3 our condition cannot be more hopeless than that of Mrs. Rowe. Thi is to certify, that I was taken with a pain in my side and breast, attended with a distressing cough, and for the space of one year grew rapidly wotse. Although 1 had in attendance three phy sicians, one of whom was considered very skilful, all of their efforts proved alike unavailing. At last one of the physicians came in, and decided that I could not live more than one day longer! Ail of my friends believed that a few days at most would end my earthly career ! 3ly brother at this crisis, hearing of the aston ishing cures m*de by Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and Tar, went to Chiilicothe, distant thirty miles, to procure the above medicine ; and, stra- ge to tell, before 1 had used half a bottle my eougn was en tirely cured, and when I had used two bottles 1 was able so attend my family vocations as usual.
