ANODYNE COUGH DROPS.
ALREADY has expeiience demonstrated
the lact, that much pain and distress are
prevented in the family circles by the using of a
few select medicines; besides, it is the means,
very frequently of saving a Doctor’s bill. Quite
in advance of any thing heretolore offered, has
Dr Little’s Pharmaceutical Medicines succeeded
in curing the diseases for which they are pre
scribed. Por instance, his Anodyne Cough Di ops
have really cured more cases, and given more
universal satisfaction, than any other known proof;
he has more statements of its great utility from
persons oi the first respectability residing in dif
ferent parts ol th* country as designated ihan he
can afford to j üblish.or even wishes to crowd into
his new pamphlet, besides tue many instances of
its success otherwise that might be referred .0. —
The medicine never tails to cure or benefit im
mediately any case of Coughs, Colds Deep-seat
ed Coughs, or Consumptive Diseases and Asthma,
also Win oping-Cough, Croup, Co ds and lnflam
raa ory Fever among children. This remedy L
pleasant to take, and is no humbug of a balsam or
foreign extract, but is an extensive compound
upon scientific principles.
Da. Little —Si : In my own case of a most
violent cough of several weeks standing last win
ter, I was cured entirely by your Anodyne Co gh
D.ops in taking less than one bottle. Alter the
first dose or tu © I felt greatly relieved, and had
but little more pain ( r trouble with it in any wgy.
A week or two previous I t ok a bottle of the
Balsam ol Wild Cherry, without being mush ben
efited. Respectfully,
[.Signed] W. TAYLOR.

Pneumonia.
This very common disease, if taken in the out
set. is cured in a day or two by giving a full dose
of Dr, E. t ook’s Pills, to be followed every three
or four hours with the Anodyne Cougn Drops, reg
ularly, until relieved.
The Rev. Mr. Slvens gives the following case:
Mi con, Decembei, 1818.
Da. Little — ear Sir : Your Anodyne Cough
Drops answered me a very valuable purpose. One
of my servants, of full hibit, was most violently
attacked with pleurisy together with a sore throat
and cough, although a serious case, I was not
informed of it for ten hours ; when I began giving
your Cough Drops very freely, and appfied a hot
pepper poultice to the ch; st. After a tew uoses
ihe pain and cough weie relieved, and a free ex
pectoration established, which was followed by
a speedy recovery.
1 have no doubt this medicine deserves the high
reputation it has attained, and but for its prom r t
success I should have called a physician immedi
"tely. Yours respect uliy,

Mr. A. L. Scovill: However reluctant I have

any other remedy that 1 have ever used. One of
the cases, viz : Miss Bell, pronounced by several

Mr. A L. Scovill: I am wt 11 acquainted with

my fami y phys cian for many years, and can
cheerlully say that I have as much co. fidence in

HENRY MORSE.
Cincinnati, Nov. Bih, 1847.
From William Richards, M. D.
I feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it may aps
pear unpi olessional. Mr. Cl aries Wade, ol thi
city, was quite low with Pulmonary Consumption
f- r which I had been treating with less than usuaj
success. At his request, and that of his friends, 1
permitted him to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and
Tar; and I must confess tuat its effects were real
!y surprising. After using the secVmd bottie, my
visits were discontineo, and he was soon restored
to health. 1 >o con cientiously recommend my
brother practioni rs to prescribe this remedy n all
pu rnonary complaints which battle the ordinary
mode ol treatment.
WM. J. RICHARDS, M. D.
Cincinnati, Oct. Ist, 1844.
Despair not though your Physicians and friends
give you up to die !
Your con-’iUou cannot be more hopeless than
that of Mrs. Rowe,
Thi is to certify, that I was taken with a pain
in my side and breast, attended with a distressing
cough, and tor the space .»t one year grew rapidly
wotse. Although 1 had in att< rniauce th.ee phy
sicians, one of whom WjS considered very skLfut,
all of their efforts pr< ved alike unavailing. At
last one ol the physicians came in. and decided
that I could not live more than one day longer ' —
Ail of my friends believed that a few days at most
would end my earthly career!
My brother at tbs crisis, hearing of the aston
ishing cures m de by Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and
Tar, went to * hiliicothe, distant thirty miles, to
procure the above medicine ; and, stra ge to tell,
before I had used half a bottle my cougn was en

was able o attend my lamily vocations as usual.

ELECTRIC WASHING FLUID,
For washing in hard or soft water.
fWAHIS is the omy genuine article to be found
j -l in the world ; and possesses double the pow
er of any «hing ever discovered tor washing
clothes, at a trifling expense, doing away with
wash boards at once In fact, it seems to be the
lona sought Phi osopher's Stone, or universal sol
vent ; seeming a magical preparation, its opera
tion being of the most astonishing character. A
common siaed wasting may be done with one gill
of this Flu.d, in Ess than two hours. It softens
and removes the dirt, leaving the articles of the
mo* l brilliant whiteness. It being as harmless in
its operations as pure water, and c othing will
wear mueh longer than when tubbed to pieces by
the common method of washing.
This Fluid is a pow erful agent, to be used in all
cases wheie soap is required, particular'}’ for
cleansing milk utensils, cleaning windows and
paint, scouring floors ; in short, it is beyond a pre
cedent, as its use is univers -l in the washing world.
