ANODYNE COUGH DROPS.
A LREADY has experience demonstrated
-cm the i act, that much paiu and distress are
prevented in the family circles by the using of a
F lew select medicines; besides, it is the means,
very frequently of saving a Doctor's biil. Quite
i- V! a , ance °F auy thing heretofore offered, has
s Dr. Littie s Pharmaceutical Medicines succeeded
» 1,1 curing the diseases for which they are pre*
j scribed. Eor instance, his Anodyne Cough Drops
s have really cured more cases, and given more
i universal satisfaction, than any other known proof;
he has more statements of its great utility from
> persons ol the first respectability residing in dif
' ferent parts ol the country as designated than he
_ c * n afford to publish, or even wishes to crowd into
, his new pamphlet, besides tae many instances of
( Bs success otherwise that might be referred to. —
, The medicine never tails to cure or benefit im
mediately any case of Coughs, Colds. Deep-seat
i ed Coughs, or Consumptive Diseases and Asthma,
also Wh< oping-Cough, Croup, Co ds and Inflam
nia ory lever among children. This remedy is
pleasant to take, and is no humbug of a balsam or
foreign extract, but is au extensive compound
upon scientific principles.
Dr. Little —Si': In my own case of a most
violent cough of several weeks standing last win
ter, I was cured entirely by your Anodyne Co: gh
D,ops in taking less than one bottle. After the
first dose or two I felt greatly relieved, and had 1
hut little more pain rr trouble with it in any wsyy. j
A week or two previous I t ok a bottle of the j
Balsam ol Wild Cherry, without being mush ben- 1
cfited. Respectfully,
[.Signed] W. TAYLOR. !
Bibb county, July, 1848.
Pneumonia .
J nis very common disease, if taken in the out
set, is cured in a day or two by giving a full dose
of Dr, E. Cook's Piils. to be followed every three
or four hours with the Anodyne Cough Drops, reg
ularly, until relieved.
The Rev. Mr. Stevens gives the following case:
Mi con, Decembei, 1848. {
Dr. Little — ear Sir : Your Anodyne Cough
Drops answered me a very valuable purpose. One
of my servants, of fuli habit, was most violently
attacked with pleurisy together with a sore throat
and cough, although a serious case, I was not
informed of it for ten hours ; when I began giviug
your Cough Drops very freely, and applied a hot
pepper poultice to the cht st. After a lew doses
ihe pain and cough were relieved, and a free ex
pectoration established, which was followed by
a speedy recovery.
1 have no doubt this medicine deserves the high
reputation it has attained, and but for its prom. t 1
success 1 should have called a physician immedi
ately. Yours respectfully,

WONDER OF THE AGU
NORTH AMERICAN
ELECTRIC WASHING- FLUID,
For washing in hard or soft water.
THIS is the only genuine article to be found
in the world ; and possesses double the pow
er of any thing ever discovered lor washing
clothes, at a trifling expense, doing away with
wash boards at once In fact, it seems to be the
long sought Phi osopher's Stone, or universal sol
vent ; seeming a magical preparation, its opera
tion being of the most astonishing character. A
common sized washing may be done with one gill
of this Fluid, in less than two hours. It softens
and removes the dirt, leaving the articles of the
most brilliant whiteness. It being as harmless in
ita operations as pure water, and clothing will
wear mueh longer than when tubbed to pieces by
the common method of washing.
This Fluid is a powerful agent, to be used in all
cases where soap is required, particularly for
cleansing milk utensils, cleaning windows and
paint, scouring floors ; in short, it is beyond a pre
cedent, as its use is universal in the washing world

SANDS’ SARSAPARILLA

an injudicious use of Mercury, Acities or Dropsy, ex
posure or imprudence in life ; also Chronic Constitu
tional Disorders, will be removed by this Preparation.
In this preparation are strongly concentrated all the
Medicinal properties ol Sarsaparilla, combined with
the most effectual aids, the most salutary productions,
the most potent simples of the vegetable kingdom and
it has been so fully tested, not only by patients them
selves, but also by Physicians, that it has received
their unqualified recommendations and the approbation
of the public ; and Ims established on its own merits a
reputation lor value and efficacy far superior to the
various compound* bearing the name of Sarsaparilla.—
Diseases have been cured, such as are not furnished in
the records of lime past; and what it has already done
for the thousands who have used it, it is capable of do
ing (or the millions still suffering and struggling with
disease. It purifies, cleanses, and strengthens the
fountain springs of life, and infuses new vigor through
out the whole animal irame.
ANOTHER CURE OF SCROFULA.
The following striking and, as will be seen, perma
nent cure of an inveterate case of Scrofula, commends
itself to all similarly afflicted.
Southport, Conn., Jan. 1,1848.
Messrs. Sand*: Gentlemen — Sympathy for the af
flicted induces me to inform you of the remarkable cure
effected by your Sarsaparilla in the case of my wife.—
She was se- erely afflicted with the Scrofula on differ
ent parts of the body ; the glands o» the neck were
greatly enlarged and her limbs much swollen. After *
suffering over a year, and finding no relief from the re
medies used the disease attacked one leg, and below
the knee suppurated. Her Physician advised 11 should
be laid open, which was done, but without any perma
nent benefit. In this situation we heard of, aud were
induced to use Sands’ Sarsaparilla. The first bottle
produced a decided and favorab e effect, relieving her
more than any prescription she had ever taken, and be
tore she had used six bottles, to the astonishment and
de ight of her friends, she found her hcultfi quite re
stored. It is now over.a year *ince the cure was efli l
ed, and her health remains good, showing the diset a
was thoroughly eradicated from the system. Our neigh
bors are ail knowing to these facts, and think very highly
of Sands’Sarsaparilla. • *
