ANODYNE COUGH DROPS.
Already has experience demonstrated
the fact, that much pain and distress are
prevented in the family circles by the using of a
few select medicines; besides, it is the means,
very frequently of saving a Doctor’s bill. Quite
in advance of any thing heretofore offered, has
Dr. Little’s Pharmaceutical Medicines succeeded
in curing the diseases for which they are pre
scribed. For instance, his Anodyne Cough Drops
have really cured more cases, and given more
universal satisfaction, than any other known proof;
he has more statements of its great utility from
persons ot the first respectability residing in dif
ferent parted the country as designated than he
can afford to publish, or even wishes to crowd into
his new pamphlet, besides tile many instances of
its success otherwise that might be referred to. —
The medicine never tails to cure or benefit im
mediately any case of Coughs, Cold*. Deep-seat
ed Coughs, or Consumptive Diseases and Asthma,
also Whooping-Cough, Croup, Co ds aud Inflam
matory Fever among children. This remedy is
pleasant to take, and is no humbug of a balsam or
foreign extract, but is an extensive compound
upon scientific principles.
Dr. Little— Si«- : In my own case of a most
violent cough of several weeks standing last win
ter, I was cured entirely by your Anodyne
ILops. in taking less than one bottle. After the
first dose or two I felt greatly relieved, and had
but little more pain cr trouble with it in any wgy.
A week or two previous I t ok a bottle of the
Balsam ol Wild Cherry, without being much ben
efited. Respectfully,
[Signed] W. TAYLOR.
Bibb county, July, 1848.
Pneumonia.
This very common disease, if taken in the out
set, is cured in a day or two by giving a full dose
of Dr. E. Cook’s Pills, to be followed every three
or four hours with the Anodyne Cough Drops, reg
ularly, until relieved.
The Rev. Mr. Stevens gives the following case:
MiCon, December, 1848.
Dr. Little —' ear Sir: Your Anodyne Cough
Drops answered me a very valuable purpose. One
of my servants, of full habit, was most violently
attacked with pleurisy together with a sore throat
and cough, /although a serious case, 1 was uot
informed of it for ten hours ; when I began giving
your Cough Drops very freely, and applied a hot
pepper poultice to the cht st. After a few doses
ihe pain and cough wete relieved, and a free ex
pectoration established, which was followed by
a speedy recovery.
1 have no doubt this medicine deserves the high
reputation it has attained, and but for its prompt
success I should have called a physician immedi
ately. Yours respect; uliy,

ID? RO GERSI
FROM DR. HI RAM COX,
Late Professor in the Cincinnati Eclectic Medical
College.
Mr. A. L. Scovill: However reluctant I have
been to permit my name to be attached to patent
medicine, I consider it a duty to the community
to sta e that in three cases of incipent consumption ,
viz : Miss Bell, Miss Barger, and Mr. R. H. Cox,
one of our City Council, tfcat Dr. Rogers' Liver
wort and Tar operated mo e like a specific than
any other remedy that 1 have ever used. One of
the cases, viz : Miss Bell, pronounced by several
physicians to be laboring under the last stage of
Scrofulous Consumption. She is now in good
health, from the use of a few bottles of the above
syrup. HIRAM COX, M. D.
Cincinnati January 25, 1847.
From the Hon. Judge Henry Morse.
Mr. A. L. Scovill: I am well acquainted with
Dr. Hiram Cox and bis practice, he having been
my family phys cian for many years, and can
cheerfully say that I have as much co. fidence in
his skill as any man living.
HENRY MORSE.
Cincinnati, Nov. Bth, 1847.
From William Richards, M. D.
I feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it may aps
pear unprofessional. Mr. Claries Wade, ofthi
city, was quite low with Pulmonary Consumption
for which l had been treating with less than usuaj
success. At his request, and that of his friends. 1
permitted him to try Dr. Rogers' Liverwort and
Tar; and I must confess that its effects were real
ly surprising. After using the second bottle, my
visits were discontineh, and he was soon restored
to health. Ido con cientiously recommend my
brother practioncrs to prescribe this remedy in all
pu monary complaints which baffle the ordinary
mode of treatment.
WM. J. RICHARDS, M. D.
Cincinnati, Oct. Ist, 1844.
Despair not though your Physicians and friends
give you up to die !
Your condition cannot be more hopeless than
that of Mrs. Rowe.
Thi“ is to certify, that I was taken with a pain
in my side and breast, attended with a distressing
cough, and for the space of one year grew rapidly
worse. Although I had in att< ndance tbiee phy
sicians, one of whom wis considered very skilful,
all of their efforts proved alike unavailing. At
last one ol the physicians came in, and decided
that I could not live more than one day longer!—
Ail of my friends believed that a few days at most
would end vay earthly career !
My brother at th s crisis, hearing of the aston
ishing cures m .de by Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and
Tar, went to Ghiilicothe, distant thirty miles, to
procure the above medicine ; and, strange to tell,
before 1 had used half a bottle my cough was en
tirely cured, and when I had used two bottle* I
was able >o attend my family vocations as usual.
