ANODYNE COUGH DROPS.
ALREADY has experience demonstrated
the tact, that much pain and distress are
prevented in the family circles b> the using of a
few select medicines; besides, it is the means,
very frequently of saving a Doctor’s bill. Quite
in advance of any thing heretofore offered, has
Dr. Little’s Pharmaceutical Medicines succeeded
in curing the diseases for which they are pre
scribed. For instance, his Anodyne Cough Diops
have really cured more cases, and given more
universal satisfaction, than any other known proof;
he has more statements of its great utility from
persons ol the first respectability residing in dif
ferent parts ot th*> country as designated than he
can afford to j üblish.or even wishes to crowd into
hi& new pamph'et, besides tne many instances of
its success otherwise that might be referred to.—-
The medicine never tails to cure or benefit im
mediately any case of Coughs, Co d-, Deep-seat
ed Coughs, or Consumptive Diseases a id Asthma,
also Wh< oping-Cough, Croup, Co ds aud Infiam
ma ory Fever among children. This remedy L
pleasant to take, and is no humbug of a balsam or
foreign extract, but is an extensive compound
upon scientific principles.
Dr. Little—Si- : In nay own case of a most
Violent cough of several weeks standing last win
ter, 1 was cured entirely by your Anodyne Co gh
I).ops in taking ess than one bottle. After the
first dose or tw © I felt greatly relieved, and had
but little mo e pain r r trouble with it in any way.
A week or two previous I t ok a bottle of the
Balsam 01 Wild Cherry, without being much ben
efited. Respectfully,
[Signed] W. TAYLOR.

Pneumonia.
This very common disease, if taken in the out
set, is cured in a day or two by giving a full dose
of Dr, E, ( ook’s Pills, to be followed every three
or four hours with the Anodyne Cough Drops, reg
ularly, until relieved.
The Rev. Mr. Stevens gives the following case:
M\con, December, 1848.
Dr. Little— ear Sir: Your Anodyne Cough
Drops answered me a very valuable purpose. One
of my servants, of lull habit, was most violently
attacked with pleurisy together with a sore throat
and cough, although a serious case, 1 was not
informed of it for ten hours ; when I began giving
your Cough Drops very freely, and applied a hot
pepper poultice to the cht st. After a few doses
ihe pain and cough were relieved, and a free ex
pectoration established, which was followed by
a speedy recovery.
1 have no doubt this medicine deserves the high
reputation it has attained, and but for its prompt
success I should have called a physician immedi
ately. Yours respecriully,
(Signed) SIMEON L. STEVENS.

FROM l/K. HIKAiVI COX,
Late Professor in the Cincinnati Eclectic Medical
College.
Mr. A. L. Scovill: However reluctant I have
been to permit my name to be attached to patent
medicine, I consider it a duty U the community
to sta e that in three cases of incipent consumption,
viz : Miss Bell, Miss Barger, ana Mr. R. H. Cox,
one ot our City Council, ti at Dr. Rogers' Liver
wort and Tar operated mo e like a specific than
any other remedy that 1 have ever used. One of
the cases, viz : Miss Bell, pronounced by several
physicians to be laboiing under the last stage of
Scrofulous Consumption. She is now in good
health, from the use of a few bottles of the above
syrup. HIRAM COX, M. D.
Cincinnati January 25, 1847.
From the Hon. Judge Henry Morse.
Mr. A L. Scovill: I am will acquainted with
Dr. Hiram Cox and hist pr-ctice, he having been
my family phys cian for many years, and can
cheertully say that I have as much co. fidence in
his skill as any man living.
HENRY MORSE.
Cincinnati, Nov. Bih, 1847.
From William Richards , M. D.
I feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it may aps
pear unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, of thi
city, was quite low with Pulmonary Consumption
for which l had beeu treating with less than usua{
success. At his request, and that of his friends, 1
permitted him to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and
Tar ; and I must confess that its effects were real
ly surprising. After using the second bottle, my
visits were discontineo, and he was soon restored
to health. I Jo con cientiously recommend my
brother practioners to prescribe this remedy .n all
pu monarv complaints which baffle the ordinary
mode of treatment,
WM. J. RICHARDS, M. D.
Cincinnati, Oct. Ist, 1844.
Despair not though your Physicians and friends
give you up to die l
Your condition cannot be more hopeless than
that of Mrs. Rowe.
Thi is to certify, that I was taken with a pain
in my side and breast, attended with a distressing
cough, and for the space of one year grew rapidly
worse. Although I had in attendance thiee phy
sicians, one of whom was considered very skilful,
all of their efforts proved alike unavailing. At
last one ot the physicians came in. and decided
that I could not live more than one dav longer 1 —
All of my friends believed that a few days at most
would end my earthly career !
My brother at this crisis, hearing of the aston
ishing cures m-.de by Dr. Rogers' Liverwort and
Tar, went to Chillicothe, distant thirty miles, to
procure the above medicine ; and, strange to tell,
before 1 had used half a bottle my cougn was en
tirely cured, and when I had used two bottles I
was able :o attend my family vocations as usual.
HARRIET ROWE.
We,'the undersigned, do certify that this ac
count of Mrs. Rowe's is correct, we being per
sonally acquainted with all the circumstances.

In this preparation are strongly concentrated all the
Medicinal properties of Sarsaparilla, combined with
the most efiectmil aids, the most salutary productions
the most potent simples of the vegetable kingdom, and
it has been so fully tested, not only by patients them

their unqualified recommendations and the approbation
of the public ; and has established on its own merits a

Diseases have been cured, such as are not furnished in
the records of time past; and what it lias already done

ANOTHER CURE OF SCROFULA.
&iThe following striking and, as will be seen, perma.

itself to all similarly afflicted.
_ Southport, Conn., Jan. 1, 1848.
Messrs. Sands : Gentlemen—Sympathy for the af

effected by your Sarsaparilla in the case of my wife
She was sei erely afflicted with the Scrofula on differ

greatly enlarged and her limbs much swollen. After
suffering over a year, and finding no relief from the re

the knee suppurated. Her Physician advised it should
be laid open, which was done, but without any perma
nent benefit. In this situation we heard of, andwme
induced to use Sands’ Sarsaparilla. The first bottle
produced a decided aud favorab e effect, relieving her
more than any prescription she had ever taken, and be
