PROF. A. C. BARRY’3 TRIC OP H
ROUS,
OR MEDICATED COMPOUND.
INFALLIBLE lor renewing, invigorating and
beautifying the HAIR, removing the scurf,
dandruff, and all affections of the scalp, and cui in**
eruptions on the skin, diseases of the glands, mus°
cles and integuments, and relieving stings, cuts,
bruises, sprains, c. With th.s preparation -‘there
is no such word as fail.” The first journals in
America, medical men of the highest eminence,
prominent citizens of all proiessi us, and ladies
who have used it for years in their uressing rooms
and nurseries, admit with one accord, that for im
patting r gor, gloss, luxuriance and curl to the
hair, eradicat ng scurf and dandruff, healing
wounds, curing contusions, sprains, stings, &c..
and relieving diseases of the skin, the glands and
the muscies,i. has no equal among the multitude
of compounds advertised in the public prints, or
used in private practice. In cheapness as we las
efficacy, Barry’s Tricopherous is unrivalleu. The
immense cash sales of the article have enabled
the inventor to supply it at retail, at 25 cents per
bottle, which is from 50 to 100 per cent less tnan
tne pr ce of any other preparation lor the hair now
in use. The scien iiic treatise on the hair and the
skin, (embracing valuable diiections tor the cul
ture and preservation of Nature’s choicest orna
ment;,) in which each bottle is enclosed, is alone
worth the money.
The affiuity between the membranes which con
stitute the skm, and the hair which draws its sus
tenance from this triple envelope is very close.—
All diseases of the hair originate in the skin of the
head. If the pores of the sea p are clogged, or if
the blood and other fluids do not circulate lreely
through the smad vessels which feed the root with
moisture, and impart to the fibres, the result is
scurf, dandruff, shedding of the hair, graveness,
dryness and harshness ol the ligaments, and entire
baldness, as the case may be. Stimulate t e sitin
to healthful action with the Tricopuerous, and the
toipid vessels, recovering their activity, will anni
hilate the disease. In all affections of the skin,
and of the substiata of muscles and integuments,
the process and the effect. are the same. It is
upon the skin, the muscular fibre, and the glands,
that the Tricopherous has its specific action, and
in all affections and injury of these organs, it is a
sovereign remedy.
Sold, in large bottles, price 25 cents, at the prin
cipal office, 137 Bioadway, New York, and sold by
the principal Meichants and Druggists throughout
the United States and Canada. ly jan 21

NOTHING BETTER.
IT seldom happens that any remedy is better
tested, or so credibly vouched for as Dr.
Little's Vermifuge. The testimony of a distinguish
ed physician of an adjoining county is append d,
as well as others, out of the many that might be
published.
Monroe County, Nov., 1848.
Dr. Little—Sir: I have had much experi
ence with yonr Vermifuge ; and as you wish my
opinion, I will cheerfully state that I have very
rarely found it necessary to use anything else to
relieve children trom worms in my practice. In
dozens of cases I have fully teste i the medicine
with entire success, and unhesitatingly declare i,
is the best preparation i ever knew, and far in ad
vance of anything of the kind offered. By its fre
quent use in famil.es, doubtless many ban, if not
fatal cases of worms might be prevented.
(Signed) D.B. Searcy, M. D.
Macon, October, 1848.
Dr. Little —Sir: Your Vermifuge medicine,
by the advice of Dr. Gorman, has been used with
a happj result in my family, without the least un.
pleasant effects, or any other medicine; it was
given to a very sick child, who discharged a quan
tity of worms and was immediate.y relieved.
Yours, truly,
(Signed) George W. Seymore.
Dr. Little —Sir : I have used several vials of
your Vermifuge in my family, and believe it su
perior to Fahnestock’s, or anything I have ever
seen. In Get, with the use oi this medicine, and
your Anodyne Cough Drops, in cases ol coughs
and colds, i have succeeded in curing two or three
cases that I otherwise would have had o call in a
physician to. Respectfully, &c.,
(Signed) Simeon Castleberry.
Talbot County.
In Macon alone, there has been hundreds of vi
als of Little's Vermifuge sold within the last few
monihs, besides that put up in dollar bottles, which
are one third cheaper. Wherever this medicine
has been introduced, it bas gone well-, and in point
of success stands unrivai ed. Already many fami
lies have become intelligent upon this subject,
and if the community was generally so, no more
children would be choked to death by worms, or
other fatal effects to be deplored from such causes.
The Vermifuie is. the very best medicine that
can be given—to puny or drooping children, even
if they had no worms.
Beware of imposition and avoid the use of sub
stitutes. The fac-simite ol Dr. W. G LITTLE,
will be found upon the outside wrapper of each
o-; his Medicines. Soid wholesale and retail, by
the propnemr, at liis manufacturing Depot, 264

NORTH AMERICAN
ELECTRIC WASHING FLUID,
For washing in hard or soft water.
mHis is the only genuine article to be found
A in the world ; and possesses double the pow
er of any thing ever discovered for washing
clothes, at a trifling expense, doing away with
wash boards at once In fact, it seems to be the
Iona: sought Phi osopher’s Stone, or universal sol
vent ; seeming a magical preparation, its opera
tion being of the most astonishing character. A
common sized washing may be done with one gill
of this Flu d, in i'-ss than two hours. It softens
and removes the dirt, leaving the articles of the
mosi brilliant whiteness. It being as harmless in
its operations as pure water, and cloihing will
wear much longer than when tubbed to pieces by
the common method of washing.
This Fluid is a powerful agent, to be used in all
cases where saap is required, particular'} 7 for
cleansing milk utensils, cleaning windows and
paint, scouring floors ; in short, it is beyond a pre
cedent, as its use is universal in t he washing world.
