RHEUMATISM
OF ALL KINDS can be cured by the use
of MARSHALL S MAGICAL PAIN ERAD
-ICATOR.
This is unquestionably the very best remedy that
has ever been offered to the afflicted. Every day
evidence is produced of some good it has do e,
and .if it be in the powei of medicine to c :re Rheu
matisu , and the other diseases named, “ MAR
8H ALL’S ERADICATOR” will certainly do it.
The public need tear uo humhuggery in this pre
para’ion, as the money in all cases will be refund
ed, if proof can be shown of its failure.
TO THOSE SUFFERING FROM CORNS.
This preparation is i valuable, and permission
is given to • efer to several Ladies and Gentlemen
whose names can he given on application. Among
the many certificates and letters received from
oersons who have given this remedy a fair and
nartial trial, one is selected, simply because
the u ' r i ter well known to almost every body in
this coui' tr ' lke several adjoining counties, as

Mr. J E >n: !n compli
ance wth your request* thls s» m P le u slate
ment of facts. My boy u »tuel stuck a thorn in
his foot about the first of las,* the th_>rn was
extracted, and no more thought *** ** or
days, his toot then began to swell, a
days it was opened. It discharged a *® F f!> e quanti
ty of matter. The discharge continued
days, and then ceased His foot then i? com
menced swelling and extended up his leg, tii-.sh>
and hip, with violent pain. He then began to spit
from his lungs matter similar to that discharged
from the abscess on his foot. I then called in me
dical aid. and from the remedies used, he was al
ternately better and worse for eight or ten weeks.
During this time a large abscess termed upon the
hip, the discharge was large, and as soon as it
ceased, a general swelling ol his leg, thigh and
breast commenced, which was very’ hard to the
touch, and at times expetienced much difficulty
in swallowing. Medical aid seemed of no further
avail, and was discontinued. 1 then had recourse
to your “ Magical Pain Eradicator.” In forty
eight hours, from the time I commenced its use,
his foot began to soften ; the swelling ou his hip
and breast subsided and I am pleased to say he is
now well.
1 again used your remedy in a case of Nueial
gia, with great success, giving immediate relief.
I have tried it also for Tooth-Ache, with my
youngest child, with entire success.
From the success I have had in the use of your
u Magical Pain Eradicator,” I have no hesitation
in recommending it to the public.
Yours truly, W. W. HUGHES.

NOTHING BETTER.
IT seldom happens that any remedy is better
tested, or so credibly vouched for as Dr.
Little’s Vermifuge. The testimony of a distinguish
ed physician of an adjoining county is append' d,
as well as others, out of the many that might be
published.
Monroe County, Nov., 1848.
Dr. Little —Sir: I have had much experi
ence with yonr Vermifuge ; and as you wish my
opinion, I will cheerfully state that I have very
rarely found it necessary to use anything else to
relieve children from worms in my practice. In
dozensof cases I rave fully tested the medicine
with entire success, and unhesitatingly declare i<
is the best preparation I ever knew, and far in ad
vai?ce of anything of the kind offered. By its fre
quent ' IS « io families, doubtless many bao, if not
fatal case* of worms might be prevented.
(Signed) D. B. Searcy, M. D.
Macon, October, 1848.
Dr. Little —Sir: Your Vermifuge medicine,
by the advice of Dr. GoriTian, has been used with
a happ> result in my familj T , without the least un
pleasant effects, or any other medicine; it was
given to a very sick chi d, who discharged a quan
tity of worms and was immediately relieved.
Yours, truly,
(Signed) George W. Seymore.
Dr. Little —Sir : I have used several vials of
your Vermifuge in my family, and believe it su
perior to Fahnestock’s, or anything I have ever
seen. In fret, with the use of this medicine, and
your Anodyne Cough Drops, in cases of coughs
and colds, I have succeeded in curing two or three
cases that I otherwise would have had io call in a.
physician to. Respectfully, &c.,
(Signed) Simeon Castleberry.
Tatbot County.
In Macon alone, there has been hundreds of ri
als of Little's Vermifuge sold within the last few
months, besides that put up in dollar bottles, which
are one-third cheaper. Wherever this medicine
has been introduced, it has gone well; and in point
of success stands unrival ed. Already many fami
lies have become intelligent upon this subject,
and if the community was generally so, no more
children would be choked to death by worms, or
other fatal effects to be deplored from such causes.
The Veimifuse iss the very best medicine that
can be given—to puny or drooping children, even
if they had no worms.
Beware of imposition and avoid the use of sub
stitutes. The sac-simile ol Dr. W. G LITTLE,

FROM IJR HIRAM COX,
Late Professor in the Cincinnati Eclectic Medical
College.
Mr. A. L. Scovill: However reluctant I have
been to permit my name to be attached to paient
medicine, I consider it a duty L, the community
to state that in three cases of incipent consumption,
viz : Miss Bell, Miss Barger, and Mr. R. H. Cox,
one of our City Council, ti at Dr. Rogers’ Liver
wort and Tar operated mo<e like a specific than
any other remedy that 1 have ever used. One of
the cases, viz : Miss Bell, pronounced by several
physicians to be laboring under the last stage of
Scrofulous Consumption. She is now in good
health, from the use of a few bottles of the above
syrup. HIRAM COX, M. D.
Cincinnati January 25, 1847.
From the Hon. Judge Henry Morse.
Mr. A. L. Scovill: I am well acquainted with
Dr. Hiram Cox and his pr~ctice,he having been
my family physcian for many years, and can
cheerfully say that I have as much co. fideaee in
his skill' as any 7 man living.
HENRY MORSE. .
Cincinnati, Nov. Bih, 1847.
From William Richards , M. D.
I feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it may ap
pear unprofessional. Mr. Charles Wade, of thi
city, was quite low with Pulmonary Consumption
for which 1 had been treating with less than usual
success. At his request, and that of his friends, 1
permitted him to try Dri Rogers’ Liverwort and
I ar j and 1 must confess that its effects were real
ly surprising. After using the second bottle, my
visits were discontined, and he was soon restored
to health. Ido con-cientiously recommend my
brother practioners to prescribe this remedy in all
pu monary complaints which baffle the ordinary
mode of treatment.
WM. J. RICHARDS, M. D.
Cincinnati, Oct. Ist, 1844.
Despair not though your Physicians and friends
give you up to die !
Your condition cannot be more hopeless than
that of Mrs. Rowe.
Thi- is to certify, that I was taken with a pain
in my side and breast, attended with a distressing
cough, and for the space «>f one year grew rapidly
worse. Although I had in attr ndance thiee phy
sicians, one of whom was considered very skilful,
ali of their efforts proved alike unavailing. At
last one of the physicians came in. and decided
that I could not live more than one dav longer 1 —
All of my friends believed that a few days at most
would end my earthly career !
My brother at th : s crisis, hearing of the aston
ishing cures m»de by Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and
Tar, went to Chillicothe, distant thirty miles, to
procure the above medicine ; and, strange to tell,
before I had used half a bottle my cough was en
tirely cured, and when I had used two bottiea I
was able o attend my taihily vocations as usual.

NORTH AMERICAN
ELECTRIC WASHING FLUID,
For washing in hard or soft water.
THIS is the only genuine article to be found
in the world ; and possesses double the pow
er of any thing ever discovered for washing
clothes, at a trifling expense, doing away with
wash boards at once In fact, it seems to be the
long sought Phiosopher's Stone, or universal sol
vent ; seeming a magical preparation, its opera
tion being of the most astonishing character. A
common sized wash ; ng may be done with one gill
of this Fluid, in less than two hours. It softens
and removes the dirt, leaving the articles of the
most brilliant whiteness. It being as harmless in
its operations as pure water, and clothing will
wear mueh longer than when tubbed to pieces by
the common method of washing.
This Fluid is a powerful agent, to be used in all
cases where soap is required, particular'y for
cleansing milk utensils, cleaning windows and
paint, scouring floors ; in short, it is beyond a pre
cedent, as its use is universal in the washing world.

IN QUART BOTTLES.
FUR THE REMOVAL AND PERMANENT CURE OF ALL^D I• * I
EASES ARISING FROM AN IMPURE STATS
OF THE BLOOD OR HABIT
THE SYSTEM, VIZ :
Scrofula or King’s Evil, Rheumatism, obstinate Cuta
neous Eruptions, Pimples, or Pustules on the Face, I
Blotches, Biles, Chronic Sore F.ves Rin>» Worm or
Tetter, Scald Head, Enlargement and Pain of the
Bones and Joints, Stubborn Ulcers, Syphilitic Symp
toms, Scintica, or Lumbago';, and diseases arisingfrom
an injudicious use of Mercury, Acitiesor Dropsy, ex
posure or imprudence in life ; also Chronic Con>titu
tional Disorders, will be removed by this Preparation.
In this preparation are strongly concentrated all the
Medicinal properties of Sarsaparilla, combined with
the most effectual aids, the mo|t salutary productions, i
the most potent simples of the vegetable kingdom, attd
it has been so fully tested, not only by patients them
selves, but also by Physicians, that it has received
their unqualified recommendations and the approbation
of the public ; and has established on its own merits a
| reputation lor value and efficacy far superior to the
various compounds bearing the name of Sarsaparilla.—
Diseases have been cured, such as are not furnished in
the records of lime past; and what it has already done i
for the thousands who have used it, it is capable of do
ing tor the millions still suffering and struggling with
disease. It parities, cleanses, and strengthens the
fountain springs of life, and infuses new vigor through- I
out the whole animal frame.
ANOTHER CURE OF SCROFULA.
The following striking and, as will be seen, perma- i
nent cure of an inveteritte case of Scrofula, commends
itself to all similarly afflicted. I
Southport, Conn., Jan. 1, 1848.
Messrs. Sands : Gentlemen—Sympathy for the at
dieted induces me to inform you of the remarkable cut*
effected by your Sarsaparilla in the case of my wife - 1
She was se’ erely afflicted with the Scrofula on diffet
ent parts of the body ; the glands ot the neck were
greatly enlaried and her limbs much swollen. After
suffering over a year, and finding no relief from the re
medies used, the disease attacked one eg, and below
the knee suppurated. Her Physician advised it should
be laid open, which was done, but without any perma
nent benefit. In this situation we heard of, and were
induced to use Sands’ Sarsaparilla. The first bottle
produced a decided and favorab e effect, relieving her
more than any prescription she had ever taken, and be
fore she had used six bottles, to the astonishment and
de lght of ber friends, she found her health quite re
stored. It is now over a year since the cure was effect
ed, and her health remains good, showing the disease
was thoroughly eradicated from the system. Our neigh
bors are ail knowing to these facts, and think very highly
of Sands’Sarsaparilla.
Yours, with respect, JULIUS PIKE.
Extract from a letter received from Mr. W. Harris,
a gentleman well known in Louisa county, Va.
“ Gentlemen—l have cured a negro boy of mine with
your Sarsaparil'a, who was attacked with Scrofula, and
of a scrofulous family.
“Yours truly, N W. HARRIS.
oands Sarsaparilla, —It seems almost unnecessary
to direct attention to an article so well known, and so
deservedly popular, as this preparation, but patients of
ten who wish to use the extract of Sarsaparilla are in
duced to try worthless compounds bearing the name,
but containing little or none of the virtue i f this valua
ble root; and we think we cannot confer agreater bene
fit on our readers than in directing their attention to
the advertisement of the Messrs. Sands in another co
Jumn. The bottle has recently been enlarged to hold a
quart, and those who wish a r, ally good article will find
concentrated in this all the medicinal value of the root
‘ he experience of thousands has proved its efficacy in
curing the various diseases for which it is recommend
ed ; and at the present time more than any other, per
haps, is this medicine useful, in preparing the system
ior a change of season —Home Journal, Sept., JB4B.
