Arrival of the Falcon-
The steam ship Falcon, Capt. Hartstein, ar
rived last evening, irom Chagres, via Havana.
She brings no later California news.
Credit has been claimed for the English
Consul at San Juan, because he sent a steam
er to convey a number of returning Califor
nians Irom San Juan to Chagres. We were
previously informed that the Consul antici
pated trouble from the large party, who at
first refused to deliver up their arms to the
English police, and therefore wisely took the
readiest means to rid himself of hig fears by
shipping them to Chagres. We now learn
fror the Panama Star that each individual
was larged fifteen dollars for his passage,
which for the 480 persons hurried off from
San Juan, amounts to the nice sum of $7,200!
This is the liberality boasted of. The distance
from San Juan is about 160 miles.

PROF. A. C. BARRY’S TRICOPHE
ROUS,
OR MEDICATED COMPOUND.
INFALLIBLE io. rent-wing, iovigoi ating and
beautifying 'he HAIR, removing the scurf,
dandruff, and all atiections of the scalp, aud cuiin**
eruptions on the skin, diseaes of the glands, mus”
cles and interments, and relieving stings, cuts,
bruises, sprains. <Stc. With this preparation -‘there
is no such word as fail.” The first journals in
America, medical men of the highest”eminence,
prominent citizens of all
who have used it for years in their dressing room*
and nurseries, admit with one accord, that for im
parting v gor, gloss, luxuriance and curl to the
hair, eradicat ng scurf and dandruff, hea.ing
wounds, curing contusious, sprains, stings, &c.,
and relieving diseases of the skin, the glands and
tiie muscles,i.has noequa among the multitude
of compounds advertised in the public p ints, or
used in private practice, in cheapness as we la*
efficacy, Barry’s Tricopherous is unnvalleu. The
immense cask sales of the article have enabled
the inventor to supply it at retail, at 25 cents per
bottle, which is from 50 to 100 per cent less tnan
the pr.ee of any other preparation for the hair now
in Mse. The scien itic treatise on the hair and the
skin, (embracing valuable diiections for the cul
ture and preservation of Nature’s choicest orna
ment,) in which each bottle is enclosed, is alone
worth the money.
The affinity between th v membranes which con
stitute the skin, and the hair which draws its sus
tenance from this triple envelope is very close.-
All diseases of the hair originate in the skin of the
head. If the pores of the sea p are clogged, or it
the blood and other fluids do not circulate freely
ihrnugb the small vessels which feed the root with
moisture, and impart to the fibres, the result is
scurf, dandruff, shedding of the hair, graveness,
dryness and harshness of the ligaments, and entire
baldness, as the case may be. Stimulate t e skin
to healthful action with the Tricopi erous, and the
to’ pid vessels recovering their activity, will anni
hilate the disease. In ail affections of the skin,
and of the substi ata of muscles aud integuments,
the process aud the effect are the same. It is
upon the skin, the muscular fibre, and the glands,
that the Tricopherous has its specific action, and
in all affections and injury of these organs, it is a
s rereign remedy.
