Steamers f, rmerly
their jine, have recently built the
y **7 !?& hl drau S ht > ,ron steamer DAVID L.
ADAMS, ot great, capacity and power, (making
her tnp9 in 24 to 30 hours,) thus securing great
dispatch and unequalled facilities for the transpor
tation of Goods, at very low rates, to the interior
ot neotgia, Sou»h Carolina, Tenness -e, and Ala
bama, in connection the with Georgia, Western
and Atlantic, and Tennessee Rail Roads.
All Goods will be ■ warded without commis
sions 3 also, Producefrom the Georgia Rail Road ;
expenses on which will be paid and collected at
from consignees, or from vessels by
wh ch shipped, when require d.
The D. L. Adams wdl run in connection with
’.he Steamships Florida and Alabama, thus ensu
ring the transmission of Goods from New York to
Augusta, in sto 7 days. Bills oi Lading should
accompany goods by Steamships.
Particular attention should be observed in di
recting Bills of Lading; many now direct to
“Steambott Agent,” ‘-Steamboat Company,” &c.,
and as there are several Companies, this creates
detention , and much confusion; shippers by this
Company should therefore direct Merchand.ze
from the INTERIOR to JNO. B. GUfEU, Agent,
Augusta, and from SEAWARD, with Bills of La
ding, to SAM’L. M. POND,
President, Savannah.
N. B.—A reduction on freight tariff has been

HASTING’ S
COMPOUND SYRUP OF NAPTHA,
NOT ONLY a Positive, but a Warranted
CURE for Consumption and all Diseases of
the Lungs. This medicine has decided the dis
pute about the curability of consumption, and sat
isfied the medical facuitv and all who have used
it, that consumption and all affections of the luugs
can not only be cured, but they are as easily and
simply cured, as almost any of the disorders to
which the human frame is liable. The operation
of a single bottle, which costs #I, is sufficient to
satisiy any patient—ls not altogether too far gone
with the disease—of this fact; and even a single
dose gives evidence of its extraordinary influence
in arresting and eradicating the malady by the
immediate relief it affords. This is no quack ot
secret remedy. Dr. Hastings, its discover, is one
of the mast eminent physicians of the age, and has
made a full disclosure of its history, and all its
component parts to the world, not wishing to incur
the responsibility of confining to himself, tor the
sake of profit, a secret which was calculated to
do such universal good. And such has been the
wonderful result of its operations, that the London
Lancet, Medical Times, and the mos' eminent
physicians of both hemispheres, are anxiously call
ing upon sufferers to have immediate recourse to
it, and proclaiming that ot all known medicine, it
alone has positively established its efficacy by un
deniable proofs of curing consumption and ail other
diseases of the lungs

ISAAC BROOKS’, JR., CASE!
Go and see him and you will say the half has not been
told!!!
We the undersigned having visited Mr. Issac
Brooks, Jr., at the office of Messrs. Rowand &
YValton,373 Market street, Philadelphia, consider
his case the most remarkable one we have ever
witnessed or heard of.
His disease was Scrofula, and terrible must have
been his twelve years’ conflict with the destroyer!
His Palate, the entire roof of his Mouth,iNose,Upper
Lip, and lower lid of the Eye have been destroy
ed, nis Face nearly eaten up, and part of the Jaw-
Bone carried away. And yet we can give no de
scription of his case.
Mr. B. informs us that in January last, the whole
interior of his mouth, as well a<> most of his face
was a mass of deep and painful ulcers.
On the 14th of January last, oe commenced ta
king Dr. Cullen’sindian Vegetable Panacea,which
checked the disease in a few days, and from that
time the cure has progressed without intermission.
New flesh has supplied the place of the deep ul
cers, and though badly disfigured, his face is sound
and his general health is restored.
We are assured thatm the treatment of Mr.
Brooks’ case no Mercuiials, Ointments, or Caustic
applications have been used, —in fact, the Panacea
clone, has wrought this wonderful change.
