Mr. J E Marshall, —Dear i-ir: In compli
ance w th your request, I make this simple state
ment of /acts. My boy Daniel stuck a thorn in .
his foot about the first of last June, the th rn was
extracted, and no more thought of it for 15 or 20
days, his toot then b< gan 10 swell, and in a tew j
days it w s opened. It discharged a large quanii- j
ty of matter. The discharge continued for eight
days, and then ceased His foot then re com
menced swelling and extended up his leg, thigh, 1
and hip. with vio em pain. He then began to spit
from his lungs matter similar to that discharged
from thf ab-cess on his foot. I then called in me 1
dical aid and fiom the remedies used, he was al
ternately better and worst for eight or ten weeks.
During this time a large abscess formed upon the
hip, t,he discharge was large, and as soon as it
ceased, a general swelling of his leg, thigh and
breast commenced which was Very hard to the
touch and at times expe ienced much difficulty
in swallowing. Medical aid seemed of no further
avail, and was discontinued. 1 then had recourse
to your ‘‘Magical Pain Eradicator.” la forty
eight hours, trom the time I commenced its Use,
Ins foot began to soften ; the swelling on his hip
and breast subsided and 1 am pleased to say he is
now well.
I again used your remedy in a case of Nueial
gia, with great success, giving lr mediate *eiiet
I have tried it aso for Tooth-Ache, with my
youngest child, with entire success.
From the success I have bad in the use of your
Magical Pain Eradicator,” 1 have no hesitation
in recommending it to the public.
Yours iruiy, W. W. HUGHES.
The Above statements of the use of “Marshall’s
Magical Pain Eradicator” are kuown by me to be

NOTHING BETTER.
IT seld >m happen- that any remedy is belter
tested, or so credibly vouched or as Dr.
Little’.- Vermifuge. The testimony of a distinguish
ed physician of an adjoining county is append d,
as well as others, out es the many that might be
published.
Monroe County, Nov., 1848.
Dr. Little— Sir: I have had much experi
ence with yonr Vermifuge j and as you wish my
opinion, I will che. rfully stale that I have very
rarely found it necessary to use at y thing else to
relieve chil ren trom worms in my practice. In
dozens ot cases I ave fully te»le the medicine j
with entire succe-s and unhesitatingly declare i. :
is the best preparation I over knew, and far in ad- i
vance of anything of the knd offered. By i s fre
quent use in famit es, doubt.ess many bao, if not
fatal cases of worms might be prevented
(Signed) D. B Searcy,M. D.
Macon, October, 1848.
Dr. Little —Sir: Your Vermifuge medicine, j
by the advice of Dr. Gorman, has been used with j
a happy result in my family, without the least un- j
pleasant effects, or any other medicine; it was!
given to a very sick chi d, who discharged a quan- i
tity of worms and was immediate.y relieved.
Yours, truly,
(Signed) George W. Seymore.
Dr. Little —Sir: I have used several vials of
your Vermifuge in ncy family, and believe it su
perior to Fahnestock’s, or anything I have ever
seen. In Dct, with the use Oi this medicine, and
your Anodyne Cough Drops, in cases ot coughs
and colds, I have succeeded in curing two or three
cases that I otherwise would have had o call in a
physician to. Respectfully, &c.,
(signed) Simeon Castleberry.
Talbot County.
In Macon alone, there has been hundreds of vi
als of Liitie’s Vermifuge sold within the last few
months, besides that put up in dollar bottles, which
are one third cheaper. Wherever this medicine
has been in roduced, it has gone well; and in point
of success stands unrival ed. Already many fami
lies have become intelligent upon this subject,
and if the community was generally so. no more
children would be choked to death by worms or
other fatal effects to be deplored from such causes.
The is. the very best medicine that
can be given—to puny or drooping children, even
if they had no worms.

Mr. A. L. ' covill: However reluctant I hav-J
been to permit my name to be attacned to pa ent
medicine, I consider it a duty t the community
to sta e that in three cases of incipent consumption,
viz : Miss Bell, Miss Barger, and Mr R. H. Cox,
o- e of our City Council, t at Dr. Rogers’ Liver
wort and Tar operated mo e like a specific than
any other remedy that 1 have ever used. One of
tho cases, viz : Miss Bell, pronounced by several
physicians to be laboiing under the last stage of
Scrofulous Consumption. She is now in good
health, from the use ot a few bottles of the above
syrup. HIRAM COX, M. D.
Cincinnati January 25. 1847.
From the Hon. Judge Henry Morse.
Mr. A L Scovill: I am will acquainted with
Dr. Hiram Cox and his pr ctice,he having been
my fami y phys cian for many years, and can
cheerfully say that I have as much co fidence in
his skill as any man living.
HENRY MORSE.
Cincinnati, Nov. Bih, 1847.
From William Richards, M. D.
1 feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it may ap
pear unprofessional. Mr. Ci arles Wade, ol tbi
city, was quite low with Pulmonary Consumption
for which ! had been treating with less than usual
success. At his request, aud that of his friends, 1
permitted him to try Dr. Rogers' Liverwort and
Tar ; and 1 must confess that its effects were real
ly surprising. After using the second bottle, my
visits were discontineh, and he was soon restored
to health. I io conscientiously recommend my
brother practiont rs to prescribe this remedy >n ail
pu rnonary complaints which baffle the ordinary
mode of treatment.
WM. J. RICHARDS, M. D.
Cincinnati, Oct. Ist, 1844.
DOfetir not though your Physicians and friends
give you up to die !
Your condition cannot be more hopeless than
that of Mrs. Rowe.
Thi is to certify, that I was taken with a pain
in my side and breast, attended with a distressing
cough, and for the space <»t one year grew rapidly
woise. Although I had in att« ndance three phy
sicians, one of whom was considered very skilful,
all of their efforts proved alike unavailing. At
last one ol the physicians came in. and decided
that I could not live more then one day longer 1 —
All of my friends believed that a few days at most
would end my earthiy career !
My brother at th s crisis, hearing of the aston
ishing cures m.de by Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and
Tar, went to «;hillicotbe, distant thirty miles, to
procure the above medicine ; and, strai ge to tell,
before 1 had used half a bottle my cougn was en
tirely cured, and when 1 bad used two bottles I
was able to attend my family vocations as usual.
HARRIET ROWE.

ELECTRIC WASHING FLUID,
For washing in kard or soft water.
is the only genuine article to be found
iS in tne world ; and possesses double the pow
er of any thing ever oiscovered tor washing
clothes, at a trifling expense, doing away with
wash boards at once In fact, it seems to be the
long sought Phi osopher’s Stone, or universal sol
vent ; seeming a magical preparation, its opera
tion being of the most astonishing character. A
common sized wash : ng may be done, with one gif
ot this Ulud,in Fss than two hours. It softens
and removes the dirt, leaving the articles of the
mos’ brilliant whiteness. It being as harmless in
its operations as pure water, and clothing will
wear mueh longer than when nibbed to pieces by
the common method of washing.
This Fluid is a powerful agent, to be used in all
cases whete soap is required, particular’y for
cleansing milk utensils, cleaning* windows and
paint, scouring floors ; in short, it is beyond a pre
cedent, as its use is universal in the washing world.
