FOR the cure of Chronic diseases of the Kid

Flour Albus, and other analogous affections, it
stands paramount to anything to be had. With
| perfect safety it can be taken or used by any one,
as it does not nauseate or prove in any wise dele
terious. Being modified and improved from the
original French preparation as it is, has for years
stood the test in every shade and variety of cases
for which it is to be used. And so far from failing
into disuse, the sales on the contrary, have mate
rially increased. If cases were given in detail,
its success would vie with the Vermifuge, Ano

PROF. A. C. BARRY S TRICOP HE
ROUS,
, J *fS I £ ICATED COMPOUND.
I i’tALLIBLh ior renewing, invigorating and
~~ beautifying the HAIR, removing the scurf,
dandruff, and all affections of the scalp, and curing
eruptions on the skin, aisea-es of the glands, mus
cles and integuments, and relieving stings, cuts,
bruises, sprains. Ac. With this preparation ‘‘there
is no such word as fail.’’ The first journals in
America, medical men of the highest eminence,
prominent citizens of all prolessions, and ladies
who have used it for years in their dressing rooms
and nurseries, admit with one accord, that for im
parling vigor, gloss, luxuriance and curl to the
hair, eradicating scurf aud dandruff, healing
wounds, curing contusions, sprains, Atingu, &c.,
and relieving diseases of the skiD, the glands and
the muscles,it has no eauai among the multitude
of compounds advertised in the public prints, or
used in private practice. In cheapness as wed as
efficacy, Barry’s Tricopherous is unrivalleu. The
immense cash sales ol the article have enabled
the inventor to supply it at retail, at 25 cents per
bottle, which is from 50 to 100 per cent less than
the pr.ee of any other preparation for the hair now
in ’ise. The scien.ific treatise on the hair and the
skin, (embracing valuable diiections for the cul
ture and preservation of Nature’s choicest orna
ment,) in which each bottie is enclosed, iu alone
worth the money.
i he affinity between the membranes which con
stitute the skin, and the hair which draws its sus
enance from this triple envelope is very close.—
All diseases of the hair originate in the skin of the
head. If the pores of the sea p are clogged, or it
the blood and other fluids do not circulate freely
through the snua.t . essels which feed the root with
moisture, and impart to tbe fibres, the result is
scurf, dandruff, shedding of the hair, graveness,
dr3 r ness and harshness of the ligaments, Bnd entire
baldness, as the case may be. Stimulate the skin
to healthful action with the Tricop: erous, and the
toipid vessels, recovering their activity, will anni
hilate the disease. In ail affections of the skin,
and of the substiataof muscles and integuments,
the process and the effect are the same. It is
upon the skin, the m< .-cidar fibre, and the glands,
that the 1 ricophf rous has its specific action, and
in all affections and injury ot these organs, it is a
8 .vereigu remedy.

the past. SANDS’ SARSAPARILLA stands
forth alone, and by its own works proclaims its
power—thai mute eloquence so irresistb y affect

have been cured by this nvaluable medicine,su h
as are not furnished in the records of time. These
things are not done in secret places, or in some
ui known town, but are performed in our princi

before the world io substantiate, beyond doubt, the
healing virtues of this prep iration j and the facts

The Saisaparilla is combined with the most ef

most potent simples of the vegetable kingdom ;

It has long been a m >st important desideratum in
the practice of medicine, to obtain a remedy sun

SCROFULOUS AFFECTION OF THE EYES.
Winchester, Ky., Oct 29,1849.
A. B. 6c, D. Sands Gentlemen: I would not
have presumed to write to jou, if it was not my
duty to let the public know the almost miracious
effect your Sarsaparilla has had upon me. My
limbs were covered with ulcerous sores, so that I
could not walk during the whole spring and sum
mer. In this situation I commenced the use of
your Sarsaparilla, and after taking two bottles was
entirely cured. I must al o tell you of another
wonderlul cure. My brother was afflicted with
this scrofula in his herd, so b -d his physician told
him the loss of his sight was inevitable, aud perm
anent blindness seemed to be his tats. Three bot
tles entirely restt red his sight, and we cannot but
recommend all similarly afflicted to use bands'
Sarsaparilla. • Yours truly.
BENJAMIN F. BUCKNER.

Messrs. Sands — Gentlemen: 1 consider it a du
ty due the public to make known the ert-a* bene
fit 1 have received from using your valuable Sar
saparilla. About three years sir.ee 1 was attack
ed with Rheumatism in rny shoulders, and also tn
my itgi, and so severe was the pain, that 1 w«s
unable to sleep. I tried all of the best medicines
I could hear of without receiving any benefit uu
til through the advice of a friend 1 procured some
of your S'-rsapariila, and after using four bottles
in the course of fifteen days I found myself en
tirely well. I have no hes tation in saying your
Sarsapariila is the best medicine l ever took, anth
can confidently recommend it to my friends and
the public. Your obedient servant,
J. M. JESURUN.
Here is another, nearer home:
New York, Jan. Bth, 1850.
Messrs. Sands — Gentlemen: I have great plea
sure in acknowledging to you the great b>- nefit 1
have received from the use of your Sarsaparilla.
A subject of pulmonary disease, 1 made a voyage
to Europe, but while there continued to be afflict
ed. A few weeks after my return, I was seized
with a violent hemorrhage of the lungs, and from
the debility and great prostration of strength that
followed, with tne pretracted difficulty of respira
tion, 1 am entirely relieved by the use of your
Sar«aparilla, which 1 consider a most important
and truly valuable discovery in the healing art.—
J feel that I have not for fourteen years enjoyed
so good health as at present.
Yery gratefully yours,
S. Ei SEYMORE.
