ItFBLISS’S COM POUND CO O LI VER
OIL CANDY.—-An eminent English physician,
writing of the use of Cod Liver Oil, says he ob
served, that in a few days the cough was miti
gated, expeetoration diminished in quantity and
opacity, the night sweats ceased, the pulse became
slower and of better volume, and the appetite,
flesh and strength gradually improved. Now these
are high commendations, but our limited experi
ence teaches us that they are not uudeserved.—
Bliss’s Compound Cod Liver Oil Caudy unites all
the good qualities ol the oil, as above enumerated,
to an agreeable taste and pleasant odor. It is an
invaluable medicine ; but our friends, in purchas
ing it, must be on the look-out for counterfeits.

THE GREAT SUMMER MEDICINE!
DR. GUYSOTT’S
IMPROVED EXTRACT OF
YELLOW DOCK AND SARSAPARILLA,
FOR the cure of all diseases or disorders gen
erated by impure blood. Us great success
justly entitles it to the name of the
GREAT AMERICAN SPECIFIC.
far as it is known it is universally appreciated,
and many eminent physicians use it daily in their
practice with the most happy effects, and certify
that it is the best extract in existence, and the
only one that
STANDS THE TEST OF TIME.
Every year adds to its great popularity, and mul
tiplies its astonishing cures. The yictim of
HEREDITARY SCROFULA,
with suppurating glands, honey-combed flesh, and
canes eating into his bones, finds Guysott’s Yellow
Dock and Sarsaparilla a balm for his afflictions.—
His horrible torments are assauged, and his mala
dy not only relieved, but
PERMANENTLY CURED.
It may be safely asserted, that from the results
of past experience, that “Dr. Guysott’s Extract
of Yellow Dockcad Sarsaparilla,” is, beyond all
comparison, the most
WONDERFUL REMEDY ON EARTH
for the following diseases, and all others proceed
ing from
VITIATED BLOOD.
Scrofula or King's Evil, Rheumatism, Obstinate
Cutaneous Eruptions, Pimples or Pustule on the

era Morbus, Dysentery, Diarrhoea, Plethora of
Blood in the Head, Piles, Pains in the Back,Sides,
Breast or Loins, and all forms of Muscular, Glan
dular and Skin diseases.
It is a sovereign specific for General Debility,
and th a best renovator for a Broken Constitution.
It braces and re-invigorates every organ, pro
motes activity and regularity in every function,
and produces that condition of the whole physical
system, which is the best security for
LONG LIFE!
Let all who wish to purge the blood from the
impurities contracted from the free indulgence of
the appetite during the winter, and to prepare the
system to
RESIST SUMMER EPIDEMICS,
Resort now to “Guysott’s Extract of Yellow Dock
and Sarsaparilla,” which is proving itseif an anti
dote for many of the most malignant diseases that
flesh is heir to, and they will never be disappoint
ed ; for in this remedy the public faith has never
wavered—never can waver; for it is founded on
experience, just as their want of faith in other and
spurious compounds is also fouuded in experience.
They

to seek hope, life and vigor from this
PURELY VEGETABLE REMEDY.
Therefore, however broken down in health and
spirits, however loathsome to himself and otners,
let no one despair of recovery, let the patient only
understand that his hope of physical restoration
lies only in “ Guysott’s Extract of Yellow Dock
and Sarsaparilla/' and persuade him for his
LIFE'S SAKE
to try it, and we have no hesitation in predicting
his speedy restoration to health.
As a means of regulating all the functions of
WOMAN'S DELICATE ORGANIZATION,
it has no equal in the materia medica, and at that
critical period of life, when the first stage of her
decline commences, its cordial and invigorating
properties will enable her to
PASS THE CRISIS SAFELY.

GEORGIA SARSAPARILLA,
PREPARED BY
J. DENNIS, M. D.,
AUGUSTA, GA.
FOR DISEASES of the Liver and to purify
the Blood.
Dr. D. has made his preparation as pure as pos
sible. Its bitter taste corresponding with the
taste of thejroots, proves its purity. Its beneficial
effects in diseases el the Liver prove it to be the
most useful preparation of Sarsaparilla that is
made.
The prevalence of diseases in the Southern cli
mate, arising from an inactive state of the Liver,
aud the effect of this Sarsaparilla in stimulating
the Liver to increased actiou, causing by its alte
rative and mildly purgative effect the removal of
morbific agents from the Blood, have induced the
Proprietor to use the pure Sarsaparilla and noth
mg else in this preparation.
For other diseases Physicians using this prepa
ration in their practice can combine, or prescribe
with it such articles as they may consider the most
appropriate in cases under their treatment.
As those who use the Georgia Sarsaparilla and
find benefit from its use—recommending it to
others, and the fast increasing demand, proves that
the labors of the Proprietor to make a good article
have been duly appreciated by Southern people,
there isjno need of publishing certificates. North
ern preparations should not be used in the South,
unless they are made freer of sweetened water
and other things than they have been.
