NORTH AMERICAN ELECTRIC WASHING FLUID, For washing in hard or soft water. THIS is the only genuine article to be found ! in the world; and possesses double the pow- i er of any thing ever discovered for washing clothes, at a trifling expense, doing away with wash boards at once. In fact, it seems to be the long sought Phi'osopher's Stone, or universal sol vent; seeming a magical preparation, its opera tion being of the most astonishing character. A , common sized washing may be done with one gill i of this Fluid, in less than two hours. It softens and removes the dirt, leaving the articles of the most brilliant whiteness. It being as harmless in I its operations as pure water, and clothing will wear mueh longer than when i übbed to pieces by the common method of washing. This Fluid is a powers ul agent, to be used in all cases where soap is required, particularly for cleansing milk utensils, cleaning windows and paint, scouring floors; in short, it is beyond a pre cedent, as its use is universal in the washing world. Dr. D. has made his preparation as pure as pos sible. Its bitter taste corresponding with the taste pi the|roots, proves its purity. Its beneficial effects in diseases of the Liver prove it to be the most useful preparadon of Saisaparilla that is made. The prevalence of diseases in the Southern cli mate, arisingfrom an inactive state of the Liver, anjd thp effect of this Sarsaparilla in stimulating the Liver to increased action, causing by its alte rative and mildly pqrgative effect the rpmpval of morbific agents from the Blood, haye induced the Proprietor to use the pure Sarsaparfila aiid notfi mg pise in this preparation. For other diseases Physicians using this prepa ration in their practice can poq}binp,oc prescribe with it sueh articles as they may consider the most appropriate in cases under their treatment. As those who use the Georgia Sarsaparilla gnd find benefit from its use—recommending it to others, and the fast increasing demand, provesthat the labors of the Proprietor to make a good article have been duly appreciated by Southern people, thpre is]no need of publishing certificates, North ern preparations sfipqld not be used in the South, unless they are made freer of and other things than they have been. BARRY'S TRICOPHE RODS, I OR MEDICATED COMPOUND. iVi 1 AL.LIBLE for renewing, iuvigoialing and beautifying the HAIR, removing the scurf, dandruff , and all affections of the scalp, and curing eruptions on the skin, diseases of the glands, mus cles and integuments, and relieving stings, cuts, bruises, sprains, &c. With this preparation "‘there is no such word as fail." The first journals in America, medical men of the highest eminence, prominent citizens of all professions, and ladies who have used it for years in their dressing rooms and nurseries, admit with one accoid, that for im paiting vigr / gloss, luxuriance and cur! to the hair, eradicating scurf and dandruff’, healing wounds, miring contusions, sprains, stings, &c., and relieving diseases of the skin, the glands and the muscles,it has no equal among the multitude of compounds advertised in the public prints, or use.-* in private practice. In cheapness as well as efficacy, Barry's Tricopherous is unrivalled. The immense cash sales of the article have enabled the inventor to supply it at retail, at 25 cents per bottle, which is from 50 to 100 per cent less than the pr.ee of any other preparation for the hair now in »,se. Ihe scientific treatise on the hair and the skin, (embracing valuable diiections for the cul ture and preservation of Nature's choicest orna ment,) in which each bottle is enclosed, is alone worth the money. 1 he affinity between the membranes which con stitute the skin, and the hair which draws its sus enance from this triple envelope is very close.— Ail diseases of the hair originate in the skin of the head. If the pores of the sca>p are clogged, or it the blood aud other fluids do not circulate freely through the smau , esseis which feed the root with moisture, and impart to the fibres, the result is scurf, dandruff, shedding of the hair, graveness, dryness and harshness of the ligaments, ar.d entire baldness, as the case may be. Stimulate ti.e skin to healthful action with the Tricopherous, and the torpid vessels, recovering their activity, will anni hilate the disease. In aii affections of the skin, and of the substrata of muscles and integuments, the process aud the effect are the same. It is upon the skin, the muscular fibre, and the glands, that the 1 ricopherous has its specific action, aud in all affections and injury of these organs, it is a sovereign remedy. bold, in large bottles, price 25 cents, at the prin cipal office, 137 Bioadway, New York, and aeld by the principal Merchants and Druggists throughout the United States and Canada dxcly jan 21 FARE REDUCED TO 20 DOLLARS From Charleston to New York. jasgi ifth thegrkaTmviailroute from charTeston, LEAVING the Wharf at the loot of Laurens st. daily at 3, p. m. after the arrival of the Southeyn cars, via WILMINGTON and WEL DON,N. For the removal and permanent cure of all diseasks arising from an IMPURE STATE OF THE BLOOD, OR HABIT OF THE SYSTEM. AMONG the many aud important discoveries of this eneration, is one whose fame will be written, as with a sunbeam, in the history of the past. SANDS' SARSAPARILLA stands forth alone, aud by its own works proclaims its power—that mute eloquence so irresistibly effect*, ing in the appeals of the suffering for releif, has been answered. Thousands of cases of disease have been cured by this invaluable medicine, such as arc not furnished in the records of time. These things are wot done in secret places, or in some unknown town, but are performed iu our princi pal cities and public places. They are brought before the world to substantiate, beyond doubt, the healing virtues of this preparation ; aud the facts unfolded, alth; ugh gigantic, are as plain as the light es day. The Saisaparilla is combined with the most ef iectual aids, the most salutary productions, the most potent simples of the vegetable kingdom • its unprecedented succesr in the restoration to health of those who had lp.ng pined under the most distressing chronic maladies, has given it an exalted character —furnishing, as it does.eridenc? ol its own intrinsic value, and recom nending it to the afflicted in terms the afflicted ouiy can know. It has long been a jpost important (Insideratim in the practice of medicine, to obtain a remedy sim ilar to this—one that would act op. the liver, stom ach, and bowels with all the precision and potency ot mineral preparations, yet without any of their deleterious effects upon the vital power- of the systepi Although possessed of powerful healing properties, it is entirely harmless, and will not in juie the roost delicate constitution. WhAi in par fect health, no effect is produced by its use, ex cept an increase of appetite*; but when disease to seated in the frame, and carrying fast its victim along the path of life, then its mysterious influ ence is felt and seen; it enkindles new life and vigor, and brings health and strength to the suffer ing and diseased.
