NORTH AMERICAN ELECTRIC WASHING FLUID, For washing in hard or soft water ■ - THIS is the only genuine article to be found in the world; and possesses double the pow er of any thing ever discovered for washing clothes, at a trifling expense, doing away with wash boards at once. In fact, it seems to be the long sought Phi'osopher’s Stone, or universal sol vent ; seeming a magical preparation, its opera tion being es the most astonishing character. A common sized washing may be done with one gill of this Fluid, in less than two hours. It softens and removes the dirt, leaving the articles of the r most brilliant whiteness. It being as harmless in I its operations as pure water, and cloihing will wear mueh longer than when i übbed to pieces by the common method of washing. This Fluid is a powerful agent, to be used in all cases where soap is required, particularly for cleansing milk utensils, cleaning windows and paint, scouring floors; in short, it is beyond a pre cedent, as its use is universal in the washing world. LITTLE—Dear Sir: After having used several Vermifuge medicines, and even Cal omel, without success in relieving our child of worms, we then gave your Vermifuge according to directions, which soon caused the expulsion of a large quantity of worms. After that, the child got well immediately. (Signed) E. Ezell, of Houston co. Wnen a child is loaded with worms, or pns trated with their effects, it is not always safe, by any means, to give Calomel, because it excites too much action, and together with the displace ment of the worms, will often sink a child before much else can be done for it. On the other hand, Little’s Vermifuge is perfectly safe, and produces no such excitement, is much more destructive to worms, and at the same time gradually expels them. The sac simile of the signature of Di.W. G. Little will be found upon the outside wrapper of each of his medicines. D., AUGUSTA, GAt FOR DISEASES of the Liver and to purify the Blood. Dr. D. has made his preparation as pure as pos sible. Its bjtter taste corresponding with the taste ol thejroots, proves its purity. Its beneficial effects in diseases ei the Liver prove it to be the most useful preparation of Sarsaparilla that is made. The prevalence of diseases in the Southern cli mate, arising from an inactive s tate of the Liver, and the effoct of this Sarsaparilla in stimulating the Liver to increased action, causing by its alte rative and mildly purgative effect the removal of morbific agents from the Blood, have induced the Proprietor to use the pure Sarsaparilla and noth ing else in this preparation. For other diseases Physicians using this prepa ration in their practice cau combine, or prescribe with it such articles as they may consider the most appropriate in cases under their treatment. As those who use the Georgia Sarsaparilla and find benefit from its use—recommending it to others, and the fast increasing demaud, proves that the labors of the Proprietor to make a good article Rave been duly appreciated by Sf uthern people, there if]no need ol publishing certificates. North ern preparations should not be used in the South, unless they are made freer of sweetened water and other things than they haye beep. A. C. BARR YS TRICOP HE ROUS, MEDICATED compound. TNrALLIBLE for reneiving, invigorating and JL beautifying the HAIR, removing the scurf, dandruff, and all affections of the scalp, and curing eruptions ou the skin, diseases of the glands, mus cles and integuments, and relieving stings, cuts, bruises, sprains. &c. With this preparation ‘‘there is no such word as fail.” The first journals in America, medical tnen of the highest eminence, prominent citizens of all professions, and ladies who have used it for years in their dressing rooms and nurseries, admit with one accord, that for im parting vigr • t gloss, luxuriance aud curl to the hair, eradicating scurf aud dandruff, healing wounds, curing contusions, sprains, stings, &c., and relieving diseases of the skin, the glands and the muscles,ii has no equai among the multitude of compounds advertised in the public prints, or used in private practice. In cheapness as well as efficacy, Barry’s Tricopherous is unrivalled. The immense cash sales of the article have enabled the inventor to supply it at retail, at 25 cents per bottle, which is from 50 to 100 per cent less than the price of any other preparation for the hair now in *;se. The scientific treatise on the hair and the skin, (embracing valuable diiections for the cul ture and preservation of Nature’s choicest orna ment,) in which each bottle is enclosed, is alone worth the money. 7 he affinity between the membranes which con stitute the skin, and the hair which draws its sus enance from this triple envelope is very close.— All diseases of the hair originate in the skin of the head. It the pores of the sea p are clogged, or if the blood and other fluids do not circulate freely through the srnau . essels which feed the root with moisture, and impart to the fibres, the result is scurf, dandruff, shedding of the hair, graveness, dryness and harshness of the ligaments, and entire baldness, as the caae may be. Stimulate the skin to healthful action with the Tricopherous, and the torpid vessels, recovering their activity, will anni hilate the disease. In all affections of the skin, and of the substrata of muscles aud integuments, the process and the effect are the same. It is upon the skin, the muscular fibre, and the glands, that the Tricopherous has its specific action, and in ail affections and injury of these organs, it is a «'>vereign remedy. _ Sold, in large bottles, price 25 cents, at the prin cipal office, 137 Bioadway, New York, and sold by the principal Merchants aud Druggists throughout the United States and L'anada dxcly jan 21 BELCHER & HOLLINGSWORTH, WHOLESALE ANIJ RETAIL GROCERY MERCHANTS, Augusta Q a . NO. i IN QUART BOTTLES. For the removal and permanent cure of all diseases arising from an impure state of the blood, OR habit of the system. AMONG the many and important discoveries of this i eneration, is one whose fame will be written, as with a sunbeam, in the history of the past. SANDS’ SARSAPARILLA stands forth alone, and by its own works proclaims its power—that mute eloquence so irresistibly effect ing in the appeals of the suffering for releif, has been answered. Thousands of cases of disease have been cured by this nvaluable medicine, such as are not furnished in the records of time. These things are not done in secret places, or in some unknown town, but are performed in our princi pal cities and public places. , ; They are brought before the world to substantiate, beyond doubt, the healing virtues of this preparation ; and the facts unfolded, althi ugh gigantic, are as plain as the light of day. The Saisaparilla is combined with the most ef fectual aids, the most salutary productions, the most potent simples of the vegetable kingdom ; and its unprecedented success in the restoration to health of those who had long pined under the most distressing chronic maladies, has given it an exalted character—furnishing, as it does, evidence of its own intrinsic value, and recom fending it to the afflicted in terms the afflicted only can know. It has long been a most important desideratim in the practice of medicine, to obtain a remedy sim ilar to this—one that would act on the liver, stom ach, and bowels with all the precision and potency of mineral preparations, yet without any of their deleterious effects upon the vital powers of the system Although po sesaed of p >werfnl healing properties, it is entirely harmless, and will not in jure the most delicate constitution. When in par fect health, no effect is produced by its use, ex cept aa increase of appetite ; but when disease to seated in the frame, and carrying fast its victim along the path of life, then its mysterious influ ence is felt and seen ; it enkindles new life and vigor, and brings health and strength to the suffer ing and diseased. SCROFULOUS AFFECTION OF THE EVES. Winchester, Ky , Oct. 29,1849. A. B. Sc D. Sands— Gentlemen: I would not have presumed to write to you, if it was not my duty to let the public know the almost miraclous effect your Sarsaparilla has had upon me. My limbs were covered with ulcerous sores, so that I could uot walk duriug ihe whole spring and sum mer. In this situation 1 commenced the use of your Sarsaparilla, and after taking two bottles was entirely cured. I must al o tell you of another wonderful cure. My brother was afflicted with this scrofula in his herd, so bad his physician told him the loss of his sight was inevitable, and perm anent blindness seemed to be his fata. Three bot tles entirely restored his sight, and we cannot but recommend all similarly afflicted to use Sands’ Sarsaparilla. Yours truly. BENJAMIN F. BUCKNER. ITS POULARITY ABROAD. From South America. Maracaibo, Venezuela, April 12tli, 1849. Messrs. Sands — Gentlemen: 1 consider it a du ty due the public to make known the great bene fit I have received from using your valuable Sar saparilla. About three years since 1 was attack' ed with Rheumatism in my shoulders, and also in my legs, and so severe was the pain, that I was unable to sleep. I tried all of the best medicines l could hear of without receiving any benefit un til through the advice of a friend 1 procured some of your Sarsaparilla, and after using four bottles in the course of fifteen days I found myself en tirely well. I have no hes tation in saying your Sarsaparilla is the best medicine l ever took, and can confidently recommend it to my friends and the public. Vour obedientservant. J. M. JESURUN.
