SAVANNAH, May 30. Cotton. —Arrived since
the 22d inst., 3,450 bales Uplands, (2,008 per Rail
Road, 1 443 from Augusta,) and 230 do. Sea Is
lands. The exports for the same period have been
9,003 bales Uplands, and 3G do. Sea Islands, viz :
to New York 2,091 bales Uplands, and 26 do Sea
Islands; and to Charleston 12 bales Upland, and 10
alo. Sea Island; leaving on hand and on shipboard
®ot cleared a stock of 13,391 bales Uplands, and
1,342 do. Sea Islands, against 38 913 bales Uplands
and 3,326 do. Sea Is.ands at same time last year.
Our L«st report closed upon a dull and decliuing
jmarket, pnd tbe transactions of the week show
that there has been but httle demand. The ar
rival of the steam ship Baltic was telegraphed on
Sunday, with the report of a decline of §d. in the
Liverpool market. On Tuesday the arrival of the
Canada at Halifax was announced, and the Liver
pool market rep rted to have advanced 4 a jjd
These counter reports have had the effect to keep
the market quite unsettled, and in such an uncer
tain state that neither buyers nor sellers were in
clined to operate. The transactions are so light
that no general rates have been established, and
we are therefore unable to give any quotations.
The total sales amount to but 351 bales, viz : on
Friday 32, on Saturday 45 on Monday 69, ou Wed
nesday 65, and yesterday 410 bales. The partic
ulars of prices pa d are as follows: 69 at 6|; 14 at
•8; 38 at 28 at 8£; 116 atß|; 26 at 9; and 60 at
cents.
Sea Islands. —No sales have been reported th>s
week. The market is quite unsettled. Receipts
230 bales. Exports 36 bales.
Rice. —The transac<ions have been confined al
most entirely to the city trade. We hear of the
sale of one lot at #2 15-16 per hundred pounds.—
Exports 176 tierces.
t'lour —About 400 barrels Baltimore sold from
the wharf at 4,75 a $5,00.
Com —.Sales have been made during the week
of 6/ 00 bushels at 70 a 75 cents, according to
.quality and quantity'.
Sugar —2o hhds New Orleans sold at 7 cents.
Macon. — Ihe stock is light, and we hear of but
one s ale of any importance, viz : 45 hhds .Should
ers at 8 cents.
Male Rape —3oo coils so'd at a 8 cents.
Exchange . —We quote Sterling this week at 9 a
9| per cent, prem.; Domestic Exchanges—The
Banks are selling Sight Checks on all Northern
cities at £ per cent, prem ~ and are purchasing

Georgia, within two miles of the Cotoosa Platform,
on the Western and Atlantic Railroad, one hun
dred and twenty miles from Atlanta, and twenty
five from Chattanooga, in a most delightful aud sa
lubrious Mountain climate. The Company’s Hacks
will always be in waiting at the Depot on the ar
rival of the cars, to convey visitors a d their bag
gage to the Springs.
