COTTON.—Since the Liverpool accounts by tho
Pacific and America have been received, the mar
ket has been active and some advance is observable
on the better grades. The lower qualities, how
ever, are neglected, and when sold, are at a greater
declino than at any time previous. Tho following

GROCERIES.—The business during tho past
week, has been limited to filling country orders.
The stocks of our Merchants are largo and well se
lected.
CORN.—V e have no change to notice in prices
this week. Tho stock on hand is fully oqual to tho
demand, and sales are making from stores, in small
lots, at prices ranging from 85 to 90 cents.
BACON.—There continues a fair demand for Ba
con, and prices still tend upwards. There is a fair
supply of Western on hand. Western is worth 10|,
and Tennessee 11 cents the hog round, by tho quan
tity. Shoulders are worth 9; Sides 10j to 11;
and Hams 12j cents.
COFFEE.—Stock on hand on the decrease, and
prices still declining. Wo quote 10j|a lljc.
LARD.—Good Lard is scarce, and in domand,
and meetefwith ready salo at 11 a 12 cents, • accord
ing to quality and quantity. .
FLOUR.—The market is well supplied with
Northern and Western, which is selling at $6 to
s7} per bbl.—fancy brands SB. Augusta Canal is
selling from s6s to s7j per bbl.
FEATHERS. There is not much demand for
this article at present, and the stock is on tho in
crease. We quote Tennessee at 33 cents per lb.
MOLASbES. Tho stock of Cuba is diminishing,
and prices tend upwards. We quote Cuba at 25 a
26, and New-Orleans 37 a 40 cents per gall.
SUGARS. —There is a fair stock on hand, and
prices are stiffening.
SALT.—Market well supplied, and sales are
making at sl,lO a $1,15 per sack.
WHISKY.—There is a good stock on band. Wo
quote New-Orleans at 30 a 33 cents.
STOCKS.—We have heard of no transactions.
EXCHANGE—On New-York and other North
ern cities, is in demand at j per cent. prem.
FREIGHTS.—Our river is getting low, but is
still in good navigable order. Wo have no change
to notice in rates, which continue 50 cents per balo
Cotton to Skvannah, and the same price to Charles
ton per Rail-Road.
Saturday were 208 bales at the following prices
3at 6*; 27 at 8; 53 at 8j; 74 at 8j; 34 at 81; and 7
at 9 cents.

The steamship Humboldt has arrived, bringing
Liverpool dates to the 3d instant.
Liverpool, June 3.— Cotton. —The market is
firm and unchanged, with sales of 7,000 bales.
Breadstuff's are steady. Consols firm. Money
easy. Corn has declined 6d.
The weather if unfavorable.
The Herman, Europa and Lafayette has arrived
out.
Abbott Lawrence sailed in the steam frigate
Lawrence for United States on the 3d inst.
Political news unimportant.
At Boston to-day the case against Hayden was
discharged, the jury not able to agree.
At New York to-day Cotton remained un
changed.
Charleston, June 17—p. m.
Cotton. —The market is unchanged, sales 270
bales at 6 1-2 to 10 cents.
New Orleans, June 13.
The Alabama has arrived with two weeks la
ter intelligence from California.
There has been a great fire in San Francisco,
which destroyed property amounting to fifteen
Millions of Dollars. The Custom House, Union,
Parker’s, National, City, New World, Delmoni
co’s, and Exchange Hotels are burned. Much
shipping in tire harbor was also destroyed. Great
distress prevails.
Accounts fiom the Mining districts are repre
sented as favorable, but the report is considered
doubtful.

within two miles of tho Cotoosa Platform, on the
Western and Atlantic Rail-Road, one hundred
and twenty milea> from Atlanta, and twenty-five

always be in waiting at the Depot on the arrival o
the cars, to convey visitors and their baggage to the
