SAVANNAH, June 27.— Cotton. —Arrived since
the 19th inst., 761 bales Uplands, (652 per Railroad,
109 from Augusta,) and 51 do. Sea Islands. The
exports for the same period have been 946 bales
Uqjlands, and 79 do. Sea Islands, viz : to New York
575 bales Upland, and 79 do. Sea Islands, to Phil
adelqffiia 146 bales Uplands; to Baltimore 113 bales
Uptland; and to Charleston 112 bales Upland; leav
ing on hand and on shipboard not cleared a stock
of 6,070 bales Upland, and 1,288 do. Sea Islands,
against 26,652 bales Upland, and 347 do. Sea Island
at same time last year.
Since our last weekly report was written, throe
steam ships have arrived from Liverpool. We had
the Niagara’s news on Friday evening, just after
our remarks were in type ; the market being re
ported easier for the lower grades of Cotton with the
same quotations for fair. Sales of the week 45,000
bales. The news by the Arctic was received on
Sunday evening—Liverpool market was firm, and
the accounts from the manufacturing districts more
favorable, but no advance. On Wednesday noon
wji had the Europa’s advices. Sales of the week
47,000 bales. The lower grades had advanced an
|d. —quotations for fair, the same as before report
ed, viz : Orleans 6*; Mobile s*; and Uplands 52d.
Our stock for sale is very small, and on Friday and
Saturday wo heard of no sales. On Monday there
was a better demand, sales 459 bales: on Tuesday
the sales were 251, on Wednesday 94, and yesterday
7 bales. Since the Europa arrived, holders are
asking * to jc. advance, but the demand is so lim
ited that nothing has been done. The enquiry is
principally for the finer qualities. We quote:

The sales of Upland amount to 828 bales, at the

9 at 8 5-16; 141 at 8f; 110 at 8*; 38 at 8f: 81 at 82;

at 12 cents.
Rice. —The market is dull, and prices remain un
changed. The sales amount to 245 tierces, as fol
lows 25 at 2| ; 20 at 2 15-16; and 200 at $3 per
100 lbs.
I"lour. —We do not hear of any large :.ales this
week. From stores, Baltimore is selling at $5.
Bacon. —AVe hear of small sales of Shoulders at
8 a B|, and Sides at 10 a lOj cents.
Corn. —No large sale have been reported this
week. Sales from stores continue to be made at 75
cents.
Sugar. —A small lot of New Orleans in store sold
at 6* cents.
Domestic Liquors. —New England Ilum has been
selling at 30 cents.
5a1t. —3,410 sacks; the cargo noticed last week
as having just arrived, sold on Friday at 95 cents.
Hay. —Northern is selling on the wharf at 85 a
90 cents per 100 lbs.
Lime. —AVe have no arrivals to notice this week.
The last cargo disposed of, sold on the wharf at
$1,12* a $1,25.
Bugging und Bale Rope. —The transactions in
these articles are not large, though tliero is somo
enquiry. AVe quote Gunny Bagging at 13* a 14,
and Rope at 7| a 8 cents.
Exchange. —AY o quote Steriling this week at 9 a
9j per ct. prem.; Domestic Exchanges—The Banks
are selling sight checks on all Northern cities at j
per cent, prem., and are purchasing sight to 5 day
bills at * per cent, disc.; 30 days, 2 per ct. disc.; 60
days, 1J; and 90 days at 2* per ct. discount.
Freights aro very dull to all placos. The rates
are to Liverpool 5-16 d. for Upland Cotton. Coast
wise—to New York 50 cents per bale for Cotton,
and 50 cents for Rice; to Philadelphia j a 5-16 for
Cotton, and 75 cents for Rice; to Boston 5-16 a,|
for Cotton, and 75 cents for Rice; to Baltimore nom
inal.
