AN ACT making appropriations for the civil
and diplomatic expenses of Government for
the year eighteen hundred and thirty seven.
He it enacted, by the Senate and House of Re
presentatives of the Lnitcd States (f -America
in Congress assembled , That the following sums
be, ancTthe same are hereby, appropriated, to be
paid out of any unappropriated money in the
I Treasury, viz:
For pay and mileage of the members of Con
gress and delegates, three hundred and forty
eight thousand and forty dollars;
°For pay of the officers and clerks of the Senate
and House of Representatives, thirty-three thou- 1
sand seven hundred dollars;
For stationery, fuel, printing, and all other
contingent expenses ot the Senate, forty-nine
thousand five hundred and fifty dollars;
