BC YVA REOF HlM.—The public are cau
tioned against a man calling himself BEN
JAMIN MOTTII, a shoe-maker by trade, who
. came to my house, in Hamburg, about two months
ago, and who, it is thought, decamped from Ham
burg on Sunday afternoon last, in the Columbia
stage. I have every reason to believe that on Sa
turday night or Sunday morning, by the use offalse
keys, he opened a tin trunk in my house, and took
therefrom about thirty dollars, —-the hard earnings
of myself for the past three or four mouth-, and all
that I had to support my family. The said Motte
is about 25 years of age, five feet ten inches high,
dark skin, light eyes, broad shouldered, has a scar
on one side of his neck, roman nose, and a great
smoker. The obp ct of tins advertisement is, to
caution the public against a man who is so lost t:>
all feeling, as to steal from a poor widow who has
a family to support by her labor, the last rent of her
hard earnings. LYDIA BURTON,

PATENT STEAM FEATHER RENO
VATOR. FOR HEALTH AND ECONOMY.
rmilE subscribers having purchased the right of
JL the PATENT FEATHER DRESSER, for
ibis State, would respectfully inform the citizens
of Augusta and vicinity, that they have one of
said .Machines in successful operation in Mclntosh

tirely by the operation of steam, no fire corning
near the Feathers, and no possibility of scorching
or otherwise injuring them By tins operation all
MOTHS are destroyed and removed, without loss
or waste of Feathers; on the contrary, the bulk is
very much increased and many times one-half —
nothing being removed hut small particles of dust,
<fec. They are also purified from all disagreeable
small that often attends Feathers, and are entirely
cleansed and dried , and have the appearance and
essential qualities of NEW FE \THERS.
They would invite all house-keepers, and those |
