rffllJIIS Machine is now offered to the public as
JL the most durable , the most convenient . the
most powerful, (and all things considered,) the
cUeajKst and best Cotton Packing Press in the
World.
This Press has now been in use four years—sev
eral hundreds of theta are in successful operation.
In one that has been in use about two years,
there has been packed, over Jive, thousand Bales of
Colton I and it works better (if possible) now, than
when first put up. Not one dollar has been ex
pended on it in repairs—nor ever wiii be, if well
used.
All those persons w ho have tried them, have de
cided to keep them iheir lije time, and then hand
them down to their children to tin third and fourth
generations. Not an individual that has seen them
in use but what pronounces them "Just the thing.”
I challenge the world to disprove these siate
' merits. Now, can as much be said of any other
1 Machine ever made? And yet Igo still further;
: when required, 1 will put up the Press on the plau-
I union, and if it does not answer the purpose, will
\ make no charge.
j And again—being w ell aware that the planters |
have but little confidence in new things, Horn the
fact that nine out often are "Yankee tricks," ui- j
tended to deceive, i have been to the trouble and
I expense to lit up an establishment in .Macon, with
i several Presses, for re-packing Hound Hales into
; Square, and to show to t lie planters that the Press is
just the thing they want. These Presses are now,
and w ill be kept in daily use, and open to tnspee- j
lion. Now, therefore, lo induce the planter to
make an examination, 1 give below a certificate,
signed by -a Jew of the many who have very kindly
offered me their names, since I started my Presses
1 in Macon.
To prevent bad work, and all sort of meddling
j or tampering wilh the .Machines, 1 have them all
made under my own direction, and sold at out price. '
All those wishing to give them a trial, will please
, give their names to my Agents who tall upon them,
; or send them to the Commission House, w here
i they wish to go for the Machine, in order that the ;
I Agent may be prepared for them, otherwise they j

COLL£TDN BIITERS. «
FOR DYSPEPTICS.
fHMIESE BITTERS are purely a vegetable
compound, and are offered to the pub
lic from a principle of benevolence, under the full
est conviction that they vvill be found a safe and >
sovereign remedy for Dyspepsia. They have been
triumphantly tested not only by some of the most
respectable families in the State, who have furnish
ed ample testimony as to their decided excellence,
but also by the proprietor, who, for ten years, suf
fered all the gloom incident lo that distressing dis
ease. They possess the peculiar excellence denied
to most other Bitters, of not proving injurious by
continued use. They contain not a single delete
rious ingredient, and, as seen from the directions
which accompany each bottle, may be given with
entire safety to an infant in the month
If the Colleton is taken regularly and persever
ingly.C which is highly important in stubborn cases,)
they will, soon after tlie use of a few buttles, be
found to act on the system like a charm—imparting
vigor to the stomach, bracing the nerves, cleans
ing the liver, promoting digestion, increasing the.
appetite, strengthening the chest ami voice, reliev
ing pains, cramps, and stitches in ihe breast. They
are also most excellent forcholera morbus, habitual
| constipation,sea-sickness.nausea, proceeding from
w hatever cause. In cases of general debility, it
has proved one of the best remedies, and is there
I fore highly recommended lo elderly people, literary
gentlemen, students, and others of sedentary habits
Taken in small doses frequently through the day,
; they have checked the must violent diarriicca, and
likewise been administered with the happiest effect
| in cholera infantum.
it. ail tlie foregoing complaints, these Bitters w ill
he found effectual if persisted in, and taken accord
ing to the directions which accompany each bottle.
Ami although it has been testified by several that
they are excellent in many others, yet in none other
than those above enumerated, istlie proprietor w til
ing to vouch for their efficacy. They w ere prima
rily and solely intended to cure Dyspepsia.
The Colleton Bitters have been eight years be
fore the public; and in consequence of the increas
ing demand for ibis valuable meoicine. the proprie
tor has entered largely into the business—bottles
tire procured having "Colleton Billers” moulded in
them they are also numbered, sealed and stamp
ed with an appropriate motto. Price sjl per bottle.
