Di-ar Doctor—lt is diffii'ult to fin 1 w ords to express the
gratitude which I feel towards yon for the interest you
have tak uto relieve me in my distress. In the year
18-42 1 contracted a heavy cold, which finally settled on
my iungs; in a lew inoulus after I commenced coughing
and lading offensive matter, winch smell very bad
Having heard that Bhe: man's Lozenges weve good for a
cough i tried a few boxes of them, but they had not the
: least effect on me. I then called in the best physician iu the
place, who a tended me a few months, but without su ■
cess ; I then saw an advertisem m in one of the ci v
papersof Wistar’s Balsam of W ild Cherry, oi which 1
par baseii tnree bottie.s, at the coiner ot Fulton and Nas
sau streets, but 1 could not pcn-eivo t e least ben ficial
effect from it, ou the contrary I think it was a gr.-at iu
jury to me. Shortly tiller Using it 1 coma.cneed raising
blood in large quant.ties; I Was taken down sick a; d
, confined to Tic lioj.-c for three months, during which
time 1 lost my appetite and fell away very fast; 1 was
1 then ind ued to coesuit Dr. Curtis of New York, (one of
the bast physi -inns in the city,) but he could do me, no
: good. I again become worse, a d was confined to the
| house all last winter and spt ing, and I gave up ail hope of |
; ever getting an v better, as i again raised blood and my '
cough was very severe together with a pain in my brea,-t
and under the shoulder blade. M v friends now gave up
all hope of m v recovering, him! thought every day was 1
the last. About tbis time • heard of your BALSAM OF
I.IVEBWORT bring good for consumption , but I wa*
like many others, and w us fearful tiiat it might be a regu
lar humbug; 1 however finally consented to try it, as 1
thought it could make me no wfirse. My brother th n
purchased a bottle of it at 37.') Bowery, N. Y. and I com- j
menccd t .king it. ami by thetini - I had used one bottle
lull I could sleep all nigiii, and in the morning 1 hud an
appetite for my breakfast. I still keep on taking it and j
find great benefit from it—the pain in my breast is entire- i
ly go te, and I raise no more blood. W ithin tiio last two \
months I have gained in weight six pounds and much in
sfreng ii. 1 would therefore adii-call wluj have any !
affec ion of the Lungs or Liver to try the Genuine D .
Taylor’s Balsam of Liverwort, for I truly believe it to •
bathe best remedy in existence for diseases of tile Lungs !
or Liver. Should any one doubt The above statement re- ;

DIG ( lIIUSTIIi’S
GALVANIC RINGS
AND
MAGNETIC FLUID.
FRYHIS remarkable invention, which has received th#
JL almost universal sipp obation of the medical pro
fession of Groat Britain, comprises an entire)} new up*
plication of Galvanism, as » remedial agent, by weans of
which liie ordinary Galvanic Ba lories, Electric and Mag*
netic Machim-s, & c., are < u'ircly dispensed »ith, and the
mysterious powers of Galvanism applied without any
of the objections which uie inseparable from the gene
ral made now i i use. The. strong doses, and at irregu*
lar intervals, in wmch Galvanism ii applied by the M* l
chines. has he n pro .uunced, afer a fair and impaillat
tri.il. to be decidedly injurious, and it wan to remedy
this radical defect, that tins new application was pro l
jet ted, w hich after unceasing toil and persev prance, has
been brought to its present state of perfection. The
Gal vtnic Rings answer all the purposes of ibo most
| expensive Machines, and in uiniy other respects are
i more safe and certain in accomplishing the desired
effect.
I The Galvanic Kings, Arsed in connection with ttr*
I M agn iic Fluid, a c confidently recommended in all
D SOKDKRS WHICH ARISE FROM AN ENFEEBLED OR UN
HEATHY SLATE OF THE NERVOUS OR VITAL SYSTEM, a lid
these complaints :lre among the most painful and uni
j versa! to which we are subject. They arise, without ex
ception, from one simple cause—a derangement of the
Nervous system—and it was in these cases that other
i “ remedies’’ having so often failed, a new agent Yva*
1 greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, bus
been found in the proper and judicious application of
; Galvanism.
The G alvanic Kings have been used w ith entire suc
cess in nil c is: s of Rheum atism, acute or chronic, ap
pl v iup to the head, face or limbs : Gout, Tic-Dolorvux
T iothache. Bronchitis, Vertigo, Nervous or t-'icx
j Headache, Indigestion. Paralyses. PalsV, LpiletsV,
Fits, Cramp, Palpitation of the Heart, Appoplkxy,
j Stiffness f Joints. Spinal Complaints, Kumbaco,
Xf.uralgTa, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness or the
i Head, Pa ns in the Chest and Side. General Debili
ty, Deficiency of Nervous and Physical Energy,
and all Nervous Disorders. In cases of confirmed
; Dyspepsia, which is simply a nervous derangement of
| the digedir e organs, they have been found equally suc
j c*'ssful. Their extraordinary effects upon the sv>tem
must be witnessed to be believed, and as a certain pre
| v nti ve for the preceding complaints they nre'Cqnal-
I ly recommended. The Kings are of different price*,
I being made ijf all siz's and of various ornamental pat
t' rus, aiul ran be w orn by the uiostdelk-ate female without
I the slightest inconvenience. In fuel the sensation i«
| rather agreeable than otherwise.
The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Bauds,
Garters, Necklaces, &«.
i In some cases of a very severe character and of long
j standing, the power as applied by the Galvanic Rings
| is not sufficient to arrest the progress of disease ami ulii
’ match' to restore health. The improved modification in
1 the Galvan c Belts, Bracelets, «tc., entirely reme
dies In is object ion s any decree of power that is required
can readily bo obtained, and no'complaint which the
mysterious agent of Galv anistn can effect will fail to bn
permanently relieved. Tin se articles arc adapted to the
waist, arms, w rists, limbs, ancles or any part of ihe body
j with perfect convenience. The Galvanic Necklaces
| are u-ed with greater benefit in cases of Bronchitis or
I affections of the throat generally ; ab'o in cases of Ner
vous Deafness; and witii almost Uniform success as a
preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Pits, and similar
i complaints.
Christie's Magnetic Fluid.
Is issued in connection w ith the Galvanic Rings.and
all their modifications. This composition hits been pro
nounced by the French Chemists to be one of the most
; extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It is be.
| loved to poss ss a .remarkable power of kenderiiig the
Nerves seiisitive to Galvapic actioii, by these means
causing a circulation of the influence at the seat of disc
ease, and thus giving rapid and permanent relief. No
othercomposition in chemistry is known to pro<luce the
same effect or to impart a similar property to the nervous
svstem by means of an outward local application. The
Magiietic Fluid coutainsnothingcapatile of the slight
est injury, its application rs agreeable, and it is harmless
1 in its action as it is beneficial in its resiib. Full explana-
I tions ami directions arc-company it. The combined in
! ventionsare in every way perfectly harmless; they are
at prices within reach of all, and the discoverer only re
quests a fair trial, as a test of their surprising efficacy
I uud permanent benefit.
; Christie’s Galvanic Strengthening Plas
teis.
Thesearicle* form another valuable application of
1 the mysterious iotluei ce of Galvanism. They are an
important adjunct to the genuine Galvaiiic Hints and
their modifications, acting upon the same principle, but
h viu;> this advantage of more local applica ion. They
; are confidently recommended as a valuable addition ta
the speedy cure of Rheumatism, acute or chronic ; in
all nervous complaints, and as a positive remedy in rase*
of Pain and We.ik..e.-s i the Chest'or Back. Pain in the
Side, in Asthma ic Affections, and in Weakness or Op
i pression of the Pulmonary Organs. In Spinal Com
plaints; their effects arc of the most decided character,
and they have often been used with complete success.
They are also of th greatest advantage in Pains and
Weakness of the Breast, and are highly recommended
! for many of those complaints to which females are
especially liable. As an effectual means for •-trengtheii-
I ing tae system when debilitated with disease or other
causes ; as a certain aid in Constitutional Weakness, as a
Preventive for Colds and in all affections of the Chest
generally the Galvanic ytrengt ening Plaster wili be
; found oi great and permauenuid vantage. In a few words,
, it embraces all the virtues of the best toaic preparation
with the imp rtaot addition of the Gulvnui influence,
which is ueirh'Ac impaired or exhausted, whilethe action
I continues. Thes articles will be found entirely free
i from those objections which are a consta t source of com
: plaint w ith the ordinary Plasters in common use.

have caused them to be counterfeited by unprincipled
