GALVANIC RINGS
AND
MAGN ET i C F L UID.
remarkable invention, which lias received the
almost universal approbation of the medical pro
i fes.-ion of Great Britain, comprises an entirely new ap
-1 plication of Galvanism, as a remedial agent, by means of
which the ordtuary Galvanic Ba terics, Electric and Mag
netic Machines, &c M are entirely dispensed with, and the
mysterious powers of Galvanism applied without any
i of the objections which are inseparable from the gene
ral mode now in use. The strong doses, and at irregn
! lar intervals, in which Galyanisut is applied by the Mh
-1 chines, has been pronounced, at" era fair and impartial
i trial, to be decidedly injurious, ami it was to remedy j
i this radical delect, that this new application was pro
j jeeted, after unceasing toil and perseverance, lias
I been brought to its present state of perlection. The
j Galvanic Rings answer all the purposes of the luost
I exjiensive Machines, and in many other respects are
wore sa,-’E aipl certain in aecompjisbiog the desired
etfect.
The Cxi vani.c Rings, used in connection g,ith t!io
i Magnetic Fluid, are confidently recommended 111414.

; “ reniedi*Js’ ? haying so often failed, a new- ae-ont was
! great ft' needed, which it is confidently believed,
I iieen found iu the proper ajpl Judicious application of
Galvanisjg.
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entire suc
cess in all cases of Rheumatism, acute or chronic, ap
plying tothe bead, face or limbs - Gout, Tic-Dolorf.ux
Toothache, Bronchitis, Vertigo, Nervous or Bick
Heahache, Indigestion. Paralysf.s. Palsy, Epilepsy,
I Fi rs, Fkamp, Palpitation of the Heart, Appoplexy,
I Stiffness < f Joints. Spinal Complaints, Kumbago,
Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness of the
Head, Pains in the Chest andSidf,, General Debili
ty, Deficiency of Nervous and Physical Energy,
1 and alt. Nervous Disorders. In cases of confirmed
| Dyspepsia, which is simply a nervous derangement, of
i fjie digestive organs, they have been found equally suc
cessful. Their extraordinary effects upon the system
must he witnessed to be, believed, and a certain pre
! ventive for the. preceding cj.inpiainls tliey are equal
ly recoiiuaended. Tne Rings are of different prices,
being made of all sizes, and of various ornamental pat
‘ terns, and can be worn by the most delicate female without
; the slightest inconvenience, fu fact the sensation is
rather agreeable than otherwise.
The Galvanic Belts, Itracelets, Bands,
Garters, Necklaces, &c.
In some cases of a very severe character aud of long
1 standing, the power as applied by the Galvanic Rings
is not sulfieieat to arrest the progress of disease aud ulti
mately to restore health. The improved modification in
the Galvan c Belts, Bracelets, &c., entirely reme
dies this objection ; any degree of power that is required
can readily be obtained, and no complaint which the
; mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect will fail to be
* permanently relieved. These articles'are adapted to the
j jvaist, arms, w rists, limlis. ancles or any part of ihe body
with perfect convenience. The Galvanic Necklaces
I are used with greater benefit in cases of Bronchitis or
■ affections of the throat generally; also in cases
vous Deafness; aud with almost uniform success as a
i preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Fits, and similar
| complaints. •
Christie's Magnetic Fluid.
Is issued in connection with the (ialvanic Rings, and
all their modifications. This composition has been pro
nounced by the French Chemists to be one ofthemost
extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It
lieved to possess a remarkable power of renderihg the
Nerves seiisitive toGalvatiic ACTipn, by these means
causing a circulation of the inf!uence at the seat ol dis
ease, and thus giving rapid and permanent relief. No
other composition in chemistry is known co produce the
same effect or to impart a similar property to the nervous
svstem by ipeaysof au oat ward local application. The
Magiietic Fluid contains nothing capable of the slight
est injury, its application is agreeable, and it is harmless
in its action as il is beneficial in its result. Fullexplaua
tions aud directions accompany it. The combined in
j ventions are in every way perfectly harmless; they are
at prices within reach of all, and the discoverer only re
quests a fair trial, as a lest of their efficacy

These ar'iclcs form another valuable application of
the mysterious influence of Galvanism. They are an
important adjunct to the genuine Galvahic R/uqs aipi

are confidently recommended as a valuable addition in
the speedy cure of Rheumatism, acute or chronic ; in
all nervous complaints, and as a positive remedy in cases
of tuin gad \y.L:tki.f.j>s in the **r Ruck, Fain in the
Side, in Astlimaftc Affections, and in Weakness or Op

and tliey have often beau used with complete success.
4’hey are also of the greatest adyajjtaue in Pains and
Weakness of the Breast.. and are highly recommended

j Dear Doctor—ll is djlfirult to find words to express the
irrutitude which I feel towards you for the interest you
have taken to relieve me in my distress-. |n the yp.tr
! 1842 I contracted a heavy cold, which finally settled on
iu> Inug-! , in a few uioptbs after 1 commenced coughing
and raising offensive matter, which smell very had.
Having heard that Sherman’s Lozenges were good for a
cough 1 trjetj attiw boxes of then},but they had not the
least effect on me. I then called in the best physician iu the
place, who a tended me a few months, but without sue
cess; I then saw an advertisement in one of the cily
papers of Wislar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry, of which 1
! purchased three bottles, at the corner of Fulton and Nas
sau streets, but I could not perceive t- e least Item fieial
| effect from it, on the contrary 1 think it was a grsat in
jury to me. Shortly after using il 1 commenced raising
I iliooil in large quantities; I was taken down sick anti
j confined to the house for three months, during which
: time 1 lost my appetite and fell away very last; 1 was
; then induced to consult Dr. Curtis of New York, (one of
Die best physicians in the cily,) but lie could do me no
1 good. 1 airain become worse, and was confined to th/j
housenll last winter and spring, and I gave up all hqm. of
' ever getting any’better, as I again raised blood amt ray
cough was very severe, together with a pain in my breast
and under the shoulder blade. My friends now gave up
all hope of my recovering, and thought every day was
the last. About this time I heard of your BALSAM OF
j LIVERWORT (ifw/ f r ppd f>T CQnffimption, but i was
like many others, ai'ni was fearful that it might be a regq,
lar humbug; I however finally consented to try it, as 1
; thought it could make me no worse. My brother th n
purchased a bottle of it at 375 Bowery, N. V. and I com
-1 menced taking it, and by the time 1 had Used one bottle
I full I could sleep all night, and in the morning Iliad an
i appetite for my breakfast. 1 still keep on taking it and
find great benefit from it—the pain in my breast isciijire_-

i months I have gained in weight .-ix and much in
I streug h. I would therefore advise all who have any
affec ion of the Lungs or Liver to try the Genuine Dr.
