AUGUSTA FEMALE ACADEMY.
DCr* 1 lie next Quarter’s Exer
cises ol this Institution will cowmence on the Ist
.Monday in January, 1847.
On account of the flattering encouragement al
rea y reteived, the Principal is resolved to labor
diligently to retain the confidence of the public,
and pledges himself not to relax his efforts to ad
vance the education of those placed under his
care.
He is making arrangements to supply his Insti
tntion with a complete Philosophical Apparatus,
b\ means ol which his lectures may be illus
trated. With this indispensable adjunct to a suc
cessful prosecution of a scientific education, he
hopes the Augu-ta Female Academy will not suf
fer by comparison with ihe best Literary Institu
tions in the State.
As he is determined to have no other assistance
itian that of Mrs. L., th : number of students is, in
consequence, limited; such, therefore, as desire to
make engagements for the next quarter would do
well to make early application, iu order to have
preference.
the rates, per quarter, will be:

IS YOUR LIVER DISEASED?
You may find relief if you will hut try in time.
Our Agent has just received the following:
.New Jersey, Bordentown. )
Oclobor 25, 1845. )
Mr. Seth VV. Fowlk,
Dear Sir :—I am well aware that persons of every
age. sex, and condition in life, in every part of the
country, have used, and been benefitted, by DR.
AVISTA It’S BALSAM OF WILD CHERRY’.
My own life has been saved by it. My father’s
and my mother’s family were bo’h consumptive.
My father, mother, and sister, died with that fatal
disease. About one year ago I was quite sick for
« numlcer of weeks, confined to my bed when the
pain in my side would allow me to lay. My phys
ic ian pronounced my disease Liver Complaint; giy
liver was very much enlarged. I raised blood sev
eral limes; the pain in my side was so severe that
the cars passing in the street by the door affected
me. I was cupped, bled, and had various reme.
dies applied, hut all to no purpose; I got no relief;
at last rny physician said he could not core me.
] expected to die soon, but providentially 1 heard
<if. and obtained a bottle of your Balsam, which
relieved me at once. I was encouraged to perse
vere in using it, until I took four or five bottles,
which saved tny life and cured me. My health is
now good. For Liver Complaint I believe it is a
inoi-t certain cure.
Signed, MARTHA H. BECHTEL.
